hello beautiful people welcome to my very first youtube video and dad done it thank you for pressing play and I hope you like this video here today I'm going to be sharing with you guys five things that I do to ensure that I'm living within my means and I'm saving to reach those goals that I've set myself to by the things that I want and yeah but just but things that I want really tip number one have a budget to have a budget is to have a plan mean a lot of people think that having a budget is a long drawn-out process that takes ages to complete and this is not the truth get your bank statement higher or your income highlight all your expenditure put your expenditure into categories these categories can be bills food and rent if you have more categories it all depends on what your expenditure is like from this you can set aside specific amounts to spend on certain things for example rent if you know your you're paying rent of 250 pounds a month you can budget 250 pounds all right the aim of a budget is to highlight exactly what you're spending which of these costs are fixed on which of these costs are variable which of these costs are unavoidable which of these costs will I have to pay every month or which of these costs are subscriptions I really don't need for example the gym let you know next month I'll go I don't want to cancel it because I probably go I'm from your bank statement you can immediately see how much just your onion and how much you're spending and what you are spending on you can then plan for the coming months how much you would like to spend on these areas you're in a better place to make a decision and how much you can save each month tip number two save first so we've done our budget you know how much we're spending you know how much we're earning and we know roughly how much we want to save now what we need to do is put that savings into action instead of waiting towards the end of the month and seeing what's left in that counts let's save that target money that 230 pounds that we usually spend on McDonald's let's save it as soon as we get paid not two weeks later not after we spent 500 pounds of McDonald's the first day that money hits our account it's the first day we should be saving so for me what I do is I say first I pay all my bills and then whatever is left to change I'm rich but to be honest anything clear I'm gonna check my bank right now see how much I have at my current account so in my current account at the moment I have three pounds and eighteen pets and that makes me happy I know I've okay No tip number three have separate accounts having a separate account is kind of a mental control system of all your money your current account you're more likely to see that as disposable income money that you have just to spend you and I both know that's not the case you know that you need that money for rent I know I need that money for rent so let's put this into a rent account so I have a separate rent account or I have a separate bills account or I have a separate insurance account split your money up and this is what you should be doing on the first day the money touches your account I'm not one for direct debits I have I have had to set up there with debits because you know it improves your credit and whatnot I can discuss that more in another video about how to improve credit I like to physically go into my accounts and move my money so I know exactly what it's for and where it's going and it's organized in my mind and I'm not just using my contactless card and paying for whatever Lisa bleep pay for however I wish cut it out have separate accounts move your money around and even have a separate savings account is also a very good thing to do so for example if you're saving for a house you have a savings for health account your saver for car you have a saver for car account just general emergency funds account you have three separate accounts saving accounts and maybe three separate current accounts tip number four and you gotta do this on the regular basis guys check your lifestyle check your spending what do I mean by check your lifestyle in the UK the average income for an average person is 27,000 pounds only if you're earning 27,000 pounds that means you're in a lower tax bracket of about 20% included and I could go up to as much as a person now think about this before you even get to touch your money the government is taken 20 to 30 percent of your income if you are struggling to say between 23% of your own income then there's serious trouble you need to check your lifestyle the taxman context you you should be able to text yourself some of you guys might need to move from wearing lace closures to where when you crochet braids from women human hair – I mean synthetic you might have to stop ordering water and lemon in a restaurant and mix a bit of sugar in it and make lemonade a mill nothing wrong with that when you first make the decision to save you going at it hard you are gonna have a drastic change in lifestyle and guess what you get used to it you're just you're adapt you survive we all want to live like Beyonce we all want to have Jason money but the reality is unless we're stacking up the bread now we're probably never gonna get there tip number five review your finances he's made this budget you've checked your lifestyle you say first you've done all these things but are you reviewing the numbers did you save how much you said you was gonna save check there's no point of your making a budget saving doing this doing that but then you still don't know where you said stand a good thing I like to do is do a savings by income ratio so this just takes an amount of money I've saved over my total income and I make sure as I said earlier that I'm staying between 20 30 % if you guys enjoyed this video give it a thumbs up subscribe comment below and I'll be back with another one

welcome back to my channel today I'm going to be doing a video all about frugal living tips I don't know about you but I love to save money so I'm just going to share my frugal living tips I am NOT in Middle s by any means but I do like to be wise with my money and not overspend on stuff if I don't have to so these are all the tips that I have accumulated throughout the years and I hope you find them helpful okay so first things first is you're probably wondering where my glasses are from and this actually does tie in with frugal living these glasses were sent to me by tij and I wear this video isn't sponsored or anything they just were kind enough to send me these glasses and they are prescription strength and I think that they are really really nice so that's the other thing if you are trying to save money or your glasses online seriously it really does save a lot of money so many people go to the optometrist and man it gets expensive going to the otama triste oh my gosh so if you're ordering your glasses online through sites like tij and eyewear you will save money because you're cutting out the middleman essentially so yeah I love these glasses I think they are super super cute and I just kind of wanted to give them a shout-out in this video like I said this video isn't sponsored but they were kind enough to send me the glasses so I just figured I would throw this tip in there because it is a pretty good tip I think okay so number two is nails this especially goes for you females out there I know that a lot of you like to go to the nail salon and get your nails done which I know is very nice it's nice to have your nails done but it's very very expensive and I just find that I can do my own nails at home and I feel like they look just as good I actually did my own nails and as you can see I think that they look really really nice these are my real nails I just grow them out and then I paint them and it's super cheap and I'm not going to the nail salon and spending like hundreds of dollars I mean if you think about it if you're going to the nail salon like I don't know like two or three times a month that really adds up so just keep that in mind okay so number three is to stop grocery shopping at the most expensive grocery stores I guess it depends on your area but I know for me like if I'm shopping at like a giant eagle tops you know stores like that you know the I know out west like there's like Safeway those grocery stores are very very expensive and there's so many other grocery stores that offer really good food at a much cheaper price so I really like to shop at all do you so if you have an Aldi near you definitely take advantage of that Aldi has really stepped up their game over the past few years and they're just much cheaper for me and my husband I go shopping for us once a week and I spend $80 so if you guys want to see a video on what I buy and what healthy meals I buy all $80 and under please let me know because I would love to do a video on that but yeah stop shopping at these really expensive grocery stores okay so the next tip that I want to talk about is gambling now we all know like of course like don't gamble but I think a lot of people don't realize like you know they go to the grocery store or the gas station and they pick up their scratch-off ticket and they think like oh it's only dollars only five dollars and I don't do it often it's like well you know if you're doing that a few times a week it kind of adds up but especially if you're not winning you know I just don't gamble like I'll admit like every now and then like maybe like once every month I'll buy like a dollar scratch to get and I don't win and then I'm pissed that I lost my dollar so yeah stop buying like scratch off tickets and gambling it's stupid you're not gonna win I mean you might eat but more often than not like you're not gonna win okay so number five I want to talk about gym memberships so many people have a gym membership I know I have had a gym membership and gym memberships are expensive like holy crap they're so expensive and it's like for what because you can just workout at home I swear by working out at home I mean you're watching this video right now on youtube you obviously have access to YouTube there's loads of free workout videos on YouTube all you have to do is get yourself a nice set of dumbbells maybe some resistance bands ankle weights and you're good to go you don't need a gym membership and if you feel like you really like your gym membership fine keep it but if you feel like you could get away with working out at home definitely do it because it saves a lot of money okay so number six is coffee I know that all of us when we're out about before work or anywhere we're all stopping at Starbucks Tim Hortons Dunkin Donuts and we're picking up our coffees day in and day out and this seems like a pretty common tip but it's really really true start making your coffee at home gosh coffee is expensive whenever you buy it out like you buy a coffee like a medium sized coffee and it's like two dollars and it's it's like why like cuz I can buy a giant canister of coffee for like five dollars and it last me for like two weeks straight and I'm not spending a bunch of money every day you know so stop buying coffee whenever you go out if you can and then the next one I want to talk about is alcohol alcohol is very expensive I know that a lot of you out there like to have your drinks but I can say if you are drinking on a daily basis like if you're coming home every night and you're cracking open a beer or whatever drinks you like any of that that stuff's expensive so if you can limit it to like the weekends only try to do that it's just it's so expensive like especially wine oh my gosh especially if you want to buy like decent quality alcohol – that's not going to make you feel like crap definitely living your alcohol consumption not only is it good for you but it's also good for your wallet okay so the next one I want to talk about is bottle of water a lot of us we live in areas where we don't like our water that comes out of our our tap and we buy bottled water but bottle of water if you think about it it really really adds up especially if you're someone who drinks a lot of water I know that me and my husband drink a lot of water and it's just crazy to be buying water constantly so instead you should invest in a water filter and you can either buy like the really nice Brita or pure water pitchers and it filters your water for you or you could hook something on to your sink and that really really will save money in the long run because bottled water really really adds up and it's just crazy and plus then you're set you're cutting down on your classic use and stuff and it's just kind of like a win-win all around okay so the next tip that I want to talk about is cooking at home so many of us are always you know eating out and it really really adds up so I know this sounds like common sense but really cook at home it really really makes a difference there are so many easy things that you can do because that's the thing was eating out like people do it out of convenience but invest in a crock-pot get a nice crock-pot you literally just dump the ingredients and leave like you can put it all in before you go to work or school in the morning and then you come home and dinner is ready and you didn't even have to cook and it saves you money and it's healthier okay so the next one I want to talk about is getting rid of your cable bill and I feel a lot of people have done this already but we all know like a lot of us are just on the internet now and we are really into like Netflix and Hulu and YouTube and it's like why even have cable anymore do you know what I mean so definitely get rid of your cable bill cable is so expensive I know my father still has capable and he pays something insanely it's like 95 dollars a month and he only watches like like three channels you don't I mean so it's it's such a waste of money when you have the Internet at the push of a button you know and personally I like Netflix better Hulu YouTube all of that it's so much better and cable I feel like 98% of it is commercials so stop paying for that it's such a waste of money okay so the next one I want to talk about is thrifting over buying something brand new now I know that a lot of us do like to buy a lot of things brand new I mean I know I do but if I can I do like to check out the thrift stores for you know like winter sweaters and stuff like that because sweaters are really really expensive I know that I just want thrifty a few weeks ago and I got two sweaters really really beautiful sweaters two of them for five dollars so they were 250 apiece now if I would have went to the mall and bought two sweaters that could have easily ran me about I don't know 60 $70 if not more so definitely keep that in mind thrift stores are the way to go there's a lot of hidden gems there I definitely want to do like more thrift with me vlogs and stuff because I feel like people don't realize like you can find so many great things at the thrift store for a fraction of the cost of what you spend at the mall okay so the next one I want to talk about is building your own furniture now of course not all of us have the skills for this I mean I know I don't but if you have like a husband who was like really handy I know my husband is very good with stuff like that he actually built me my own kitchen island because we needed more kitchen space so he built me one and it was so much cheaper than buying a brand-new one so you know there's so many tutorials on YouTube of how to pretty much build any type of piece of furniture whether you want to build a kitchen island or a coffee table or you know a desk anything like that sometimes it's a lot cheaper to build it yourself and that way it's like completely yours like nobody has the same one as you because it's you know you customized it so I think that's really cool too and you need to save money okay so the next one is cosmetics now obviously like my channel is very Beauty based I love makeup I love skincare all of that but so many of us think that we have to go to stores like Sephora and you know all the expensive Macy's counters you know like Lancome and Estee Lauder and Clinique all of those brands that's expensive and what's up why why are we spending so much money on cosmetics the drugstore has lots of amazing prep makeup products and skincare as well I feel like we don't have to spend as much on makeup in skincare as we think I love drugstore makeup it's pretty much all that I own and I just I like how it saves me money and I not spending copious amounts of money on makeup like foundations at like Sephora and stuff they can run you like fifty dollars at forty fifty dollars for a bottle of foundation but then you can turn around and go to like Target and buy a really nice bottle of foundation for like twelve thirteen dollars you don't I mean so it's like I I mean I I mean I guess I understand like if you are a big makeup enthusiast and you want to try everything that's out there but if you're trying to save money definitely cut back on high makeup and skincare okay so then the last one that I want to talk about is impulse buying I think so many times you know we got shopping with our friends or family and we just kind of just buy do you don't I mean it's like you really like back up and stop and think like hmm like do I really need this like is it something that I really need like I understand like we do like to shop because we just want stuff I mean we live in the age of consumerism but sometimes we really need to scale back and see if it's something that we like actually need or if your think about making a big purchase online or something you know just add it to your cart walk away for a few days you don't have to purchase it that day and if you still really really want it in a few days then buy it but you know we need to stop impulse buying because it really really adds up and also to like you never know you could find better deals you know so if they say you're shopping for like an area rug or something and you come across one out of store you'll go I love it I'm gonna buy it right now it's like well I don't know like maybe you should go online see if you can find like the same rug or a similar rug for a much cheaper price you know I mean so yeah impulse buying really really adds up so yeah those were all my frugal living tips I hope that you guys found this video helpful I know I really like to save money especially in this day and age I feel like everything is so expensive it's tough out there you know cost of living is high so yeah I hope you guys found these tips helpful and if you did please give this video a thumbs up and if you are not subscribed make sure that you are so you don't miss my next upload and until then I will guys in my next video you

confer fashionistas so everybody wanted to know how my nails get done the answer is I do them at home these are the nails that I use they're from Amazon they're from the ICI basket by Nels Gaga you can like I said get on Amazon they're fairly inexpensive so I just took off my nails that I had on before I took them off about two days ago and you want to make sure that your nails are able to breathe for at least one to two days before you go and put more nails back on to your natural nail so I've been doing this about two years I was getting my nails filled in it was just too time-consuming and it was just taking up all my money what you want to do is invest in your nail kit which would be a box of nails these are the stiletto nails here these are the stiletto nails that I like to put on these are my favorite shape and these are the coffin nails they're pretty cool and what's also included in the nail kit a top coat which is shiny and matte so you can differ off what kind of look for one this is quick dry oil by Sally Hansen cuticle softener it's really important you want a cuticle conditioning oil this will keep your nails healthy nail dryer this is my favorite from beauty secrets this is the nail polish dryer buffer and an emery board nail kit which is only like 12 bucks this has like all the tools that you need for at-home manicure hand lotion nail glue I like to use nail glue because I do a lot of moving around and I like to keep my nails on I do not use the sticky tape for my nails because like I said I do a lot of moving around and I want them on but if you need the sticky tape and you cannot keep your nails on for too long because you have a corporate job or your nails cannot stand the nail glue then I'll leave you the link down below where you can get sticky nail tape also this is optional if you want to do your nails like really fancy you can get some stone I have like a bunch of stones you also want to get a stone will and I also have a bunch of different other stones so this may seem like a lot what I showed you but it's a good investment because every time you do your nails it will be free 99 you do not always have to go and get your nails redone because you have the salon at home I'm going to show you what I do after I take off my nose I just buff away the glue you want to make sure your nail bed is smooth this is a high grit buffer so once I buffed away the glue I go in with my 100 to 180 grit emery board and I just shape up my nose you want to go carefully with this kind of emery board because this is really really heavy and it could damage your nail if you're not careful but I like to use this because it shapes my nail really fast and I don't like to continuously go over my nail you also don't want to use this emery board for your nail bed because it could damage your nail bed and strip away the top layer of your nail so after I shape up my nails I'm going to take my nail kit from Amazon I'm going to remove the excess skin on the outer layer of my nails which can cause hang nails and you don't want that you have to be careful when using this tool because it could make you so now what I'm going to do is push my cuticles back and I want to take a cuticle pusher I'm going to take my Sally Hansen instant cuticle remover I'm just going to put a little bit on my nail but you can see the difference in between the nails once I put that cuticle remover on the cuticle is a lot more cleaner and smoother so I'm just going to repeat that for the rest of the nails so once I finish pushing my cuticles back I'm going to take my cuticle oil and then rub it into my nail bed and cuticles you want to make sure you're taking care of your nails underneath the fake ones because if you don't once the fake nails are removed you're going to have like some really really messed up nails and you don't want that you want to make sure your nails are nice and pink like mine you want to make sure you do not have any kind of fungus anything going on in your nails you want to make sure that's handled before you go ahead and do this or let your nail technician take care of it if you don't know how to take care of it yourself so you want to make sure that oil is heavily coated onto your nails and your nail bed and rub it in really good the oil is coated onto my natural nails and I'm going to go wash this off and I'm going to come back and show you how I put on my fake nails so I washed off the oil fingers are nice and clean my nails are nice and clean so what I'm going to do is rough up my nails again because what's going to happen is this glue is going to adhere so much better to a drier nail bed than a smooth nail bed because if you put glue on a smooth nail bed your nails will pop off and it will not last as long we are also going to want to do that if you're using nail glue tape today I'm going to be using this nail glue that I got off of Amazon so I'm going to take the buffer again and rough up my nail bed I want to pick up my nail sizes which I'm pretty good at because I've been doing this for so long now but this part you're going to want to make sure you put enough glue but not a lot of glue if you put a lot of glue it could do damage to your cuticles and you don't want that in your nail bed so I'm just going to put enough so it can hold onto the nail trust me this will last long and you're going to want to start at the cuticle and then push the nail down it's okay if you get an air bubble you're going to hold it there for about five seconds until it's stable enough for you to remove your hand so there we go our first nail this is okay that little air bubble because as long as this part is glued down it will stay on my nail for at least two to three weeks even with that little air bubble we're just going to repeat the same process again you don't want to overdo it with the glue and you want to work fast as possible there we go that one's a little perfect we're just going to hold it down for at least five seconds now if you're scared of nail glue and you're like it's going to do so much damage to your nail like again you can definitely opt out for the sticky nail tape we got a few air pockets in the middle no but that's okay so we're going to let that sit a little bit for about a few seconds another reason why you don't want to apply a lot of glue because that glue can seep down onto your skin and get stuck onto your skin and that's not good when you're applying the glue you want to make sure your nail is up straight it does not go everywhere so I applied all of my nails and my nose feel pretty tight there are a few nail bubbles here there's an oval here and no bubble here but my nails are going to last for about two weeks even with the air bubbles because I've rubbed up the nail bed and this glue is pretty strong you want to make sure that you have a strong glue if you want your nails to stay for a long time so I'm going to take more of this cuticle oil and put it on my cuticles again and Plus this will remove any glue that you may have gotten on your skin you just want to rub that in really good you want to make sure that you have a lot of moisture and your cuticles this does not loosen the glue whatsoever the glue is already set so what I want to do now is wash this off and we're going to get to the polish so before I apply polish on my nails I'm going to just remove this hard Ridge at the tip of the nail these nails come with like a really rough Ridge on them so you want to get rid of that I'm going to go in with a gray polish you know this is the beauty of doing your own nails you can buy as many nail polishes as you want you can put different colors on your nails you can do whatever you want once you have your nails on and it this at least takes about the whole process like about 30 minutes out of your day and again it's nothing there's no freakin time limit on it because it's free this color is called carry by Zoya and I'm just going to go for a gray matte look today I'm going to skip my middle finger cuz I have plans I have plans for the middle finger now if you cannot paint your nails perfectly like if you cannot stay in your nail lines then I do suggest getting a pill off coat base coat so once I have that done I'm just going to go over my nails a second time so I finished painting the nails I wanted gray and I'm just going to see if I want to do a third coat I don't think that's really quite necessary so I'm going to take my big matte top coat by Sally Hansen you want to make sure that the nail color that you just applied is a little dry not all the way just a little dry so you can apply your top coat because you don't want it to smear and leave like negative spaces you don't want to have it seeped through you don't want this color to mess up so just going to want to wait just a few seconds for that top layer to just to get a little dry so I'm going to wait for this to dry up a little bit and then I'm going to move on to my middle nail and show you what I have planned for that now so I'm going to take this whole glitter by sinful colors so I'm going to put a gym on my middle finger and I'm going to just put a dot of topcoat on the back of this so I'm going to put a dot of glue but right here where I'm going to put my gym because these are heavy gems and you're going to have to use glue to place these gems so I want this one I'm just going to place it in the middle of the nail see how pretty that looks I'm going to leave you to the link down below where you can actually purchase these gems I'm going to take my little nail design pen thing I'm going to have a little bit of topcoat on the end of it and pick up the gym and after that I'm just gonna take my shiny top coat just paint over that I like the shiny top coat for gems because it doesn't dole it out it doesn't leave it matte it just keeps it shiny so now my nails are finished and I'm going to wait for this to dry but instead of waiting so long I'm going to take my Sally Hansen dry and go drops you're just going to want to put it all over the nail lightly with your finger and then after I do that I'm going to take my nail dry spray and after I spray the nails I'm just going to put the cuticle oil on my cuticles one last time it's like I said you want to make sure your cuticles are nice and healthy so I'm going to let my nails dry with the dry oil and the dry spray and I want to let this cuticle oil sit in my cuticles and I will be back I just washed my hands and I'm just going to take a cotton ball and wipe away some of that oil that's on the mat so if you want to get rid of the Polish that's on the cuticle usually what I like to do is just wash my hands and it comes off like that but if you're like really really finicky about that and you really want that polish off you can take a q-tip make sure the tip of the q-tip is fairly pointed or even by some pointed q-tips because I do have that and just dip it in the polish remover I'm going to go around the cuticle with the polish remover and just remove any polish this is the honeydew hand cream and I love this stuff this is really really good because it leaves your hands so freakin soft I'm just going to put a little bit on and just put some of that lotion on my hands get a nice and soak so that was how I do my nails at home it's a very easy DIY all you got to do is buy all of these things that's just one-time investment into your nail kit and the rest is history you can do your nails as many times as you want do as many design you want like it's endless there's endless possibilities and like I said that there's different nail shapes leave you to all of the links down below to everything that I use in this video it took about an hour because I was filming but if it was just me no camera and no talking it would have taken me like at least 30 minutes just pop a buck but the nails on polish put the little crystals on and I would have been done and the nail dryers just shortened that time even more I hope that you enjoyed this tutorial and let me know if you're going to try this elf is so tired of going to the nail salon paying somebody else for something that I can do and plus I'm paying for nails that's just only gonna last two weeks so if I'm going to have some nails that's gonna last two weeks I'd rather just pay 399 every two weeks to do my own nails and plus like I said these are really really strong but if you want them stronger you can buy hard as raps put them as your base coat and just go on with your days any nail technicians don't yell at me okay if I made a mistake it's okay this is just a DIY do-it-yourself because ain't nobody got time for it and I want you to stay plus-sized and stay beautiful fashion Jones bye
