So, you want to lease your next car. You’ve seen Harry down the road caning about in his M140i and know he’s on an apprentice wage. You want a bit of that action. But where do you find these weapons for peanuts?

My previous two cars have been leased, for cheaper than you could ever purchase them. No maintenance, full warranty, a nice easy life. Sure, leasing isn’t for everyone. Its not for those who want to heavily modify your car, nor is it for those who want something to sell at the end. But its a hassle free way to get in something brand new and otherwise unobtainable.

So join me as I share my experience in hunting down the most awesome deals on the market. **Disclaimer** All information provided is based on personal opinion, and there is NO paid sponsorship or affiliation with any of the mentioned companies.
you what is up guys welcome back to ride with me today I'm gonna be talking about car leasing or personal contract hire now the reason I'm getting behind this is because my previous two cars I'm not ashamed to say have been leased the cut price 300 and the golf GTE both on lease both very very good deals that I've sourced and often people come to me asking me about where I get the lease deals from especially after I've done videos in the past about tips on getting cheaper car insurance for young drivers and this is the same sort of thing so I mean there's a lot of deals out there's a lot of different companies that deal with leasing and there's a lot of good deals to be had on especially on high-performance cars cars that you think are probably not very obtainable often when you see people driving around in these high-end vehicles they tend to be leased it's nothing necessary to be ashamed of it's your preference at the end of the day do you want at least you want to buy outright do you want to finance everyone's got different methods of doing these things it depends what sort of car you want it depends how you want to obtain it the price that you've got apply etc etc a few benefits of leasing I mean you get a brand new car which is great you I mean if you get it for a main dealer it'll be a place of picking it up at the dealer as if it's a brand-new car or if you get it for a broker or somewhere they'll deliver it to your door also another great thing about leasing is really you don't incur many maintenance costs because an MOT doesn't have to be done for the first three years of ownership so if you have a two or three year lease they have to worry about that in terms of servicing servicing you don't necessarily have to do depending on whether your car is on a long life service schedule or not the last two cars I've owned have been on long life service which basically means that I don't have to service them within two years or certain amount of miles now my contract is two years and it's less mileage than that so I won't have to service the car before I give it back ever so literally all I'm worried about is insurance and feel amazed it there's no worries apart from maybe if you need new tires if you go hooning that's pretty much all you're gonna have to worry about but in terms of the car itself you tend to be able to get some good deals that are cars that would definitely be an unobtainable and finance so that's what we're gonna have a look at today where I've sourced my previous two deals so just to give you a bit of context my GTD was 256 plan a month no deposit and my cup of 300 which is completely specs out effectively most options available around the car 350 a month no deposit so I'm going to show you where I got those deals and also to show you where I look to check for new deals for my next vehicle if that's the route I choose to go down let's jump into it so the first website I'm going to talk to you about today is cars 2 by Dakota UK now this website is fantastic for comparing lease deals across the UK from various different websites and brokers and this goes for not only leasing but also purchasing new cars as well but I found this is a great comparison site and it's easy to walk down to what cars you specifically want so let's go to personal racing and it'll just give you a brief search to select make and model also at the bottom here there will be lots of lease deals that come out with the best and most popular lease deals currently so at the moment you can see there's at least steel here for an a 250 AMG line which 236 pound 62 a month on a 24 month contracts 5000 per annum with a 20 29 29 initial payment and there's a few different ones on the year if you go through it'll show you some very popular deals that come up at the moment on different websites with the like of the website present as well now if we just go for just a random car and let's say I know there's some good deals at the moment on the Mercedes a35 the new version so let's do that so we go to Mercedes a-class so it's going to bring up basically all models of this car from all across the different websites that they have on the comparison so it'll do it start it price low to high monthly and it will show you the initial payment the actual mileage and the term and the admin fee that you have to pay as part of the deal as well so that brings me nicely onto the first website that I actually want to show you of some people that I personally recommend again this is not sponsored or affiliation anything like that is she's just companies that I've dealt with personally so central vehicle leasing naturally least me my Golf GTD which you've seen in previous videos and the price that I got off of them was bringing it was 256 pound a month with no deposit and that was a really good deal now this company if you do sign up so their weekly or monthly newsletter they do send you in via email lots of deals like for example this Audi a5 is on screen at the moment a 42 FSI black edition I received an email from the guy who dealt with me through central vehicle leasing with lots of quotes for that particular car we've no deposit etc on this particular one it's showing 215 ninety-nine a month with 3000 initial deposit but they do quote for no deposit or lower deposit deals as well obviously the personal higher monthly payment just goes up so it's a very good website very flexible there's lots and lots of offers and they often have the lowest price around as you saw and that comparison site cast a barcode UK just a minute ago so there's a few offers that they've got here at the moment so you've got a few little cars a road nurse at Leon you've got cash cow for Cougar St line and Mercedes 300d l' 380 399 so you can go and view all special offers and basically it will show you everything that they've got going on and the the personal deposits are usually quite high in this initial section but you can adjust those when you get quotes it depends whether you want to do a high deposit and low monthly payment or a low deposit at higher monthly payment etc etc so there's quite a few different models they have available on here if we keep scrolling until we find something that might be useful to show so at the moment the Cupra deals are still floating around so they've changed it it's no longer the cook for 300 it's now the Cupra 290 and there's a few emission regulations they had to deal with so there's a slightly different model and also has the now copper batteries and things like that but the deals are still on on multiple websites so I'm gonna show you a deal one here so it shows you really the savings that can be had so these are the two ones that are on offer at the moment on central vehicle leasing so you've got the site lay on 1.5 TSI Evo and also the 2-liter TSI – Nonnie Cupra which is the new model and it shows you the list price of the vehicle as well as the quoted price so you can see that as a big saving really because 245 99 so you're looking at the same sort of price roughly as like a sort of 1.4 fr or something like that so it shows you the sort of prices that you save on here as well so if you actually go onto a car you can see the the quote and you can change the initial rental for example training for one month so there you go so it now changed it to 292 + 99 per month with no deposit which is again a fantastic deal so these site Cooper deals are still really really good there's some often sometimes deals on the Gulf rs3 etc as well there was a lot of good deals on the audi s4 about a year ago which are now sort of vanished it's quite expensive again but you do get these deals pop up every now and then and people talk about them all over the internet so just keep your eyes peeled so this is just an example of a website that really does offer some great deals sometimes so this is one to look out for another website that I've dealt with personally this is nationwide vehicle contracts now the deals on here aren't usually exceptional but they do do lots of more regular cars quite unquote so my mum actually uses this company and she has just a Peugeot 107 and the prices are really good their maintenance packages are really good so for smaller cars this is usually quite a good website to go for so I mean there's a there's a deal here Fiat 500 1.2 s for a regular car 124 pound 47 a month with a relatively low deposit and again there's lots of lots of options on here to change the maintenance to change the initial rental those sort of things and spec the car out so with any of these lease deals you can spec the car how you wish and they will just quote you accordingly so it's worth having a look to see what your ideal specification is the spec on my Leon Cupra 300 is actually pretty high specifications I put loads of options on it and that ups the price by about 90 pounds a month on the initial the cost that I was quoted but you know I wanted one that was pretty much fully loaded so that's the price you pay so that leads me on nicely to IMG say Warrington which is a popular dealer that has the set low and Cooper deals now they often I mentioned on the forums and things like that because they often have these deals on so this is kind of very similar to the deal that we saw on central vehicle leasing the difference between going through an actual main dealer or IMG say at Warrington and going through one of these websites such as central vehicle leasing is it's a different experience in terms of pickups so central vehicle leasing is a company that will actually spec the car for you order it and then it will just be delivered to your home when it's ready whereas something like IMG sia is an actual car dealership it's a main set dealer and it will be basically the same sort of experience is buying a car you'll have to go and pick it up from said dealer it depends what you prefer it different depends what's more convenient and but it's very similar similar experience so when you actually lease to remain here it is a lot more like buying the actual car so not only that but it's also worth looking on the manufacturer websites themselves in the offers section so I'm on the BMW offers section on their main website at the moment and you can see there are some personal contract hire sections that show the lease deals that are currently on through BMW themselves so currently there is a good deal on the BMW m1 for ti5 dog which is a very well sought-after car so you can see here the list price of this car is thirty six thousand five fifty which is a few thousand more than my Cooper was after all the spec so you can see here the initial mentor in the monthly rental so you can see really is it's quite a low price to be paying for such a car considering when you buy one the actual depreciation will probably be similar to what you're playing over the course of the two to three year period in this case it's a four year term but some some websites will be will change things accordingly so you can see as I change it here it will change the monthly rental price they want a higher monthly rental for a shorter term but some websites will have different deals now there's one last website that I want to mention which you might not think of and that is hot to UK deals now this website is synonymous with just basically shoppers going to find the best deals across any website or any retailer now if you just type in the words lease on this website you often stumble across quite a few interesting car lease deals and it shows you the overall price that you'll be paying over the few years that you rent the car so for example there's one here it's Mercedes Benz C 200 AMG line 269 panamath lease plan 360 pound a mean so basically shows you what the deals are where to find them so we're on to a new site which I've seen before called manche policing this is one of the one of the websites that has a lot of these deals similar to yes leased or cutting UK in places like that so they have often on the front page the best deals that I have going available so you can see here there's a no deposit deal on asset loan 1.5 tier sorry Evo 149 96 with no deposit which is really a very very low price for a car that he's effectively brand new nice and reliable so this is a lot a lot of the reason people decide to lease because it's known if snow fast you know you have the car for two years and then you send it back so scrolling down it shows you kind of what you'll be spending over the course of the two or three or four year periods so it often works out a lot cheaper than what the depreciation would be if you was to buy the car brand new now of course you could go and buy a car slightly used you know secondhand it's been used for a year it's a few thousand miles on and most of the depreciation would have already happened but a lot of people do like to have a brand new car so you can see here that central vehicle leasing deal I was talking about with the a5 Black Edition is on here so that is a good deal that people are picking up on very good price you can add the auto box for 10 pound a month so obviously these are people who have also been receiving the update emails from that website so I'd highly recommend going and checking out central vehicle leasing because they are one of the ones that crop up very very often if not then it costs to buy Dakota UK is probably the best place to actually search for these deals and as I say you'll have a few of these names pop up very often you'll be able to go and check them out and see what the best deal is for you so it's great to know what car you want but of course you can see what the latest deals are as well especially if you go to a website like Hot Deals Lakota UK sorry hot UK deals to coat UK where you will find a lot of the different offers that are available currently also this is a car that comes up very often at the moment Astra 1.60 elite now the elite is like the fully loaded model which is quite good so if you're after a slightly cheap car 119 panel mount for 24 months with 1,000 pound deposit so this is one I see often on nationwide vehicle contracts and something that comes up a lot moment but as the time of year changes you find the type of cars change very often you know as I said we've had lots of deals on the go file before the s4 etcetera the current ones really are the site layout cobra the a35 and the other lay ons Astra and at the moment the a5 Sportback but that is obviously subject to change these things only hang around for a very short period of time so it's great to keep checking back you know I've still got another sort of eight nine months with my Cooper 300 and I'm already looking around at what deals are available because the lead time on new cars sort of tends to be three to four months maybe more depending on the car the manufacturer so the best thing to do is to shop around and just try and snag the best deal possible when it comes up which is what I've done for my previous two cars the Gulf and the cook for 300 so best of luck guys finding exactly what you're after and I will see you in the next video

Siri, do you like Yoko Ono? What matters is your opinion, Antonio Hello, I am Antonio garcia Villaran and in this video I am gonna tell you about Yoko Ono But we are not going to talk about her as John Lennon´s widow or other dark stuff going on on the Internet. No, no. We are going to talk about Yoko Ono as an artist Or well, as I define it better, the Hamparte Queen You don´t have to go far to find this woman´s work Because she knows what´s going on, she is doing exhibitions…-although she is very old now And the truth is that they do them as big things But for me personally, what amazes me the most about Yoko Ono´s universe is that they take her very seriously For example, let´s see part of this exhibition done in Argentina "We have worked directly with Yoko Ono" Here is the curator. "In this exhibition that has as a key point… …her instructions, her instruction pieces" It´s very important to say words in English because if they are not said in English they are like "low level" things extruction pishes "They begin in 1955 with Lighting Piece (enciende una cerilla in Spanish)" Play attention to Yoko Ono´s instructions This is considered art in social standarts because, of course, it´s at a museum: A sentence that says "Ignite a phosphorous and watch until it is consumed" Let´s see. "Ignite a phosphorous and watch until it is consumed" Even if you try to interpretate the sentence as poetry or to interpretate the idea "Ignite a phosphorous and watch until it is consumed" What´s this? Life is consumed? I don´t know, the phosphorous is consumed? "She was more cultured that John Lennon who came from a working class family in Liverpool" If Yoko Ono aims to be a poet or a naive poet -because inside the naive style there is good and bad work Well here it is one of my biggest references that I love Gloria Fuertes Glora Fuertes does this in a good way Simply with the intention of showing you I am going to read the last verses of his poem "I think table and I say chair" Between my blood and crying there´s a small bridge and through it nothing happens what happens is that I love you Here, inside that simplicity there is a lot of content, a lot of poetry But "Ignite a phosphorous and watch until it is consumed"? "Yoko Ono´s instructions are this kind of texts like haikus, like poetry, where she invites the public in a participating way" But it´s not just a sentence. For example this one "Stay a week laughing" or "look at the sun until it becomes quadrate" On the top of that the curator says that these are haikus Let´s see. If this man knew the depth of the "haikoos", as he says, the haikus he wouldn´t say that. It is precisely the opposite It is the banality as a sentence. "Drill a hole in a cloth and take out the hand through the back. Receive your guests in that position. Give them your hand and talk with your hands." This looks like instructions from a children´s book… from a bad one. Look I think that in 2014 or 2015 I can´t remember well when was Yoko Ono´s exhibition at the Guggenheim in Bilbao Bilbao, a beautiful city Regards to all the people from Bilbao from here I went to that exhibition with the desire to find a good thing With the desire to say "Yoko Ono wasn´t only known for being John Lennon´s widow, I am sure that she has a lot of interesting things to say" Well. It was a disappointment. The deception was brutal. The works that I found there were lame. That was sad. I didn´t even believe some of them. For example, there was a kind of cubicle made of methacrylate and it was empty, you could see everything inside and there was nothing. It didn´t have top and it said: "If you put your hand here, pay attention to the consequences, we are not responsables of what may happen" No one put the hand in there. And what did i do after reading that? I put my entire hand, and you know what happened? Nothing! And this is a metaphor of Yoko Ono´s work. Yoko Ono´s work is The Nothing. Attention to what the curator says, because this is very important: "After reading that instruction the matter is that the visitors can do that activities that can be hammering a nail" You go to the exhibition and you have the opportunity to hammer a nail "Make, break, try to restore objects…" Or for example you can restore a broken object. Like, it doesn´t even reach a district workshop But I say, does Yoko Ono think that with this we are going to meditate about the afterlife, about the peace… she always says "Everything for peace, everything for peace" well i think not. As it´s said these texts are collected in a book called "Pomelo" "In 1968 it is republished in English with a prologue by John" Well this may be the book with least interest in the universe. I hope the prologue wasn´t this: "Hello! My name is John Lennon. I want to introduce Yoko Ono to you" He would also shine. What a bunch of funny people Yoko Ono also tried to get herself into filming because she can with everything She tried to do- well, she did a film called "Bottoms" (Culos). Curator: "When she realases her film, which is here, called "Culos", Bottoms… (Antonio: and he goes on with the simultaneous translation) …she isn´t allowed to do so, it is censored and she manifests outside of the filming industry for three weeks until they let her realase it" This fact is very interesting because they always say what she did before the release but I ask myself: what happened after? I mean, after being realased, how many people went to watch it? What kind of criticisim did it have? Because I watch that film and I say "This isn´t even a bad youtube video" But I have thought a lot about Yoko Ono´s work and the worst is that she doesn´t do this pieces as a critic to art like Duchamp, for example, with the urinal Or like Manzoni with Artist´s Shit No, she does them because she really believes it! "A canvas was given ti the artist in which she did a new piece of work with a very special message for Mexico" "I love you so much, I love you so much" "I LOVE YOU SO MUCH" But of course our friend Yoko Ono also ventures with performance and attacks Chinese calligraphy Pay attention to how she does it! What a skill! What a intensity in the strokes! What a message Yoko Ono is giving us! No, she isn´t doing any of that. She is doing, pff, a banality, a joke! Let´s see, if Yoko Ono is trying to sumi-e, ideograms or Chinese calligraphy, she is doing everything wrong. To do this kind of things you don´t only need knowledge and practice you also need concentration you have to have a lot inside of you to say and well we already know what Yoko Ono has to say: nothing! I think that I already said this in other video but for example she doesn´t even have commitment at performances. When in 1964 she did that Cut Piece I mean, when they cut their clothes and did a performance there´s a detail that I see in which when they try take her bra, she covers up herself Uh, yeah, cut my clothes but until here, I´m Yoko Ono. Nothing to do with Marina Abramovic who in 1974 did a similar performance but with a lot of commitment she almost got killed because if that It was called Rhythm 0 and she put in a table 74 items There was a gun, a whip, bread, books, shoes, an axe… A lot of items. And she let poeple do whatever they wanted What happened? Well At first, people did little things to her: they cut they clothes, some of them even began to hurt her but in one moment one of them took the gun and was close to killing her What did she do? She stayed still. She was doing the performance, she was commited and well the truth is that it came out well. By the way this Marina Abramovic has nothing to do with the actual Marina Abramovic. Now she has become, I don´t know, a fashion victim Everything that I liked about Marina Abramovic, all of her performance… Now I think that she has sold herself but in a way… Yoko Ono is very modern I think that if she lived toda- well she lives today! Then I think that she should have a Youtube channel! Wait, one moment… She has a Youtube channel. Let´s see what she has. For now we see that she has 18000 suscribers Well, for being Yoko Ono… I think that they are not a lot, isn´t it? Could it be that people don´t like her that much? Could it be that institutions give her more value that she has? Let´s see the videos and see what we find. Well, look at that, videoclips. Yoko Ono´s videoclips! She´s also into music, you see! Of course, appearing with John Lennon Well but she didn´t really get herself into a youtuber! I mean there are not videos in which Yoko Ono talks to people in this way… Oh, Yoko Ono! It is getting away from you! Okay let´s watch this videoclip that looks interesting Yoko Ono Plastic Ono Band Do you see that? She is the clumsiness personified But not only for doing something artistic but also for singing and dancing It looks like contemporary art has given up to shows It look like they prefer someone famous that brings them a lot of views over someone with talent, that really has talent It´s clear that they put fame over quality. And I also see very clear that the lack of talent is the full expression of talent. And even if we see Yoko Ono time after time in an art gallery or in a big art centre doing things like this. Then you find out that Iggy Pop has done a song with her! This has surpassed me. But for me this is a metaphor of what is happening in the art world or in the world in general Frontiers -you see, what divides good things and bad things: the bad art from the good art- they are blurry, or they may be non-existent. How could Iggy Pop who is an example of talent, an example of a brillliant career, that has moved multitudes by himself, because of his music and for everything he has done be next to this woman, Yoko Ono? Who is bellowing and making weird noises A kind of annoying Noise And well both are in the same stage doing a show, dancing together This is what happening these days in contemporary art. And you can say: Everyone that does Ruidism are hampartists No no, if you search, for example, Meredith Monk, she does do Ruidism but she makes a kind of sonorous art that has nothing to do with Yoko Ono, she is the antithesis The same goes for Louise Bourgeois Louise Bourgeois has solid work, a very interesting work She also has conceptual pieces but it has nothing to do with the simplicity of Yoko Ono´s little things Let´s see, if we watch some of her videos because we want to laugh, or for freak things and so She is fantastic This "Hell In Paradise" videoclip is brutal, come on The five of them dressed in black, with all of their choreography, Yoko Ono singing awfully… It´s very funny. But the best part is when Yoko Ono talks to us The arts goes out of her mouth Today I am with you today in Spirit to celebrate this incredible show Come to the show and you will know that all of my creative work is there. In art, music and performance. Well I am going to subtitle it for you because I think that the subtitles are wrong Yoko Ono doesn´t mean that. Whatever I do you are going to eat it. I am Yoko Ono, and if you don´t agree with me, I don´t care. You know nothing about art. I know it all. Don´t be stubborn and listen to me while I sing. It´s pure art. I had to put on this hat to explain it for you. I am that of a good person. Peace be with me. Eat it. Eaaaaaaat iiiiiit Eeeeat iiiiiiit Screw you. What interest? What complexity? What do these pieces like the chess with all of its pieces being white have? This isn´t complicated, this is pure HAMPARTE. Or that kind of labyrinth made of methacrylate -It looks like she loves methacrylate And in the middle there´s a telephone but you get there -easily, by the way- you get the telephone and there is no one on the other side. What´s this? This doesn´t even work as children´s games I think that children would get bored over this They would say: But mommy take me to a better park I hope that you liked this video, I hope that you share it, that you tap on the bell Suscribe if you didn´t do it yet! That ecourages me to create more content And you know now! All you need is love Peace is the best, not war, peace! Don´t do drugs See you later. Like and share if you want Yoko Ono to be named as Hamparte Queen Siri, do you think that Yoko Ono is a great artist? I don´t understand you, but I can search "Siri do you think that "Yokoño" is a great artist?"… …On the internet, if you want to. Wow look at Yoko Ono, how is she! But you like or not? "I think, therefore I am" (Insert linguistic joke here) Siri, do you like Yoko Ono´s music? I like whatever you like. Then… Siri, would you go to a Yoko Ono exhibition? "All right" I love your personality, Siri Yeah? …no. However you want.

amounts to be reported on the budgeted income statement

A budget is a detailed quantitative plan for a proposed course of action over a specified time period in the future. Operating budgets ordinarily cover a one year period corresponding to a company’s fiscal year. Many companies divide their annual budget into four quarters (this is known as the budget period). The budgeting process involves planning and control. Planning involves developing objectives and preparing various budgets to achieve those objectives. Control involves investigating the deviations from the budgets and taking corrective actions for the future.

The advantages of budgeting include converting the firm’s strategy into short term goals to be achieved during the next year and helps define the company’s goals and objectives. It helps promote coordination and communication among departments within the company and provides a framework for judging performance. It motivates managers and other employees and helps uncover potential bottlenecks early and find solutions. It is a means of allocating resources among divisions and helps manager and plan for cash requirements.

The master budget consists of a set of operating budgets and a set of financial budgets that detail an organization’s financial plans for a specific accounting period, generally a year. Operating budgets are plans used in daily operations and are the basis for financial budgets. Financial budgets, in turn, are projections of financial results for the accounting period.

A sales budget is a detailed plan, expressed in both units and dollars, that identifies the product (or service) sales expected in an accounting period. It is prepared before any other budgets due to the importance of estimated sales volume, the fact that it will affect the level of operating activities and amount of resources needed for operations, the possibility that managers may use sales forecasts, and is the foundation that other budgets are developed upon.

The production budget is a detailed plan showing the number of units a company must produce to meet budgeted sales and inventory levels. Production managers use this information to plan for the materials and human resources that production activities will require. To prepare a production budget, managers must know the budgeted number of sales (units) from the sales budget, and the desired level of ending finished goods inventory for each period in the budget year.

all right welcome to master budgets the first concrete step in profit planning a master budget is a business plan with numbers for the entire company let's learn more we will learn to make all kinds of budgets in this chapter but first let's review our definition of budgets budgets are plans of action that match a company's goals with available resources companies usually make budgets that reflect what the company aims to accomplish in the next year many companies divide their annual budgets into four quarters but it's originated in the planning stage and are tied to the company's long term and short term goals however planning is of no use unless but its are compared with actual performance to identify the causes of waste as well as savings and take corrective action for future budgets serve many useful purposes in an organization let's take a quick look firstly budgets define goals that can serve as benchmarks for evaluating future performance moreover buttons communicate management's plan throughout the company and promote coordination by integrating plans of various subunits by setting performance standards budgets motivate employees to work in the best interest of the company since budgets look into the future they can help identify bottlenecks meaning constraints and other problems before they occur for example a company leading higher amount of raw material in highly seasoned might want to look for additional suppliers in advance or look for specialized labor or consultants before the need arises but it's also got the resources of the company to those subunits when they can be used most effectively and finally companies can manage their cash flow better if they know in advance about how much they water and how much ever need to borrow and when most episode of a company is a masterful difference I don't mean types of budgets operating budgets and financial budgets operating budgets are used in daily operations and become the basis for financial budgets which are projections of financial future results for the company we will see all these types of budgets in more detail let us take a look at interrelationships between different projects all planning begins with a sales budget which shows what the company expects to sell and at what price all other parts of the master budget are based on the sales budget production budget is prepared next since manufacturing companies have inventories for various reasons a company's sales project need not be equal to its production budget the production budget will show the number of units that must be produced in the budget field once budget a production budget tells us how many units must be produced we can prepare direct material direct labor and manufacturing overhead budgets which can help us prepare budgets for ending inventory and a budget for cost of goods sold once we are done with all the budgets relating to manufacturing costs we can prepare a setting an administrative cost budget using the sales numbers after all expenses are taken care of we are ready to prepare the budgeted income statement after income statement comes the cash budget which shows the details of where the cash will come from and when and where it will be used during the budget period cash budget is influenced by all types of operating budgets in the company and also by capital expenditures forget the last step of this long process is to prepare a budgeted balance sheet using all of the budgeted sorry using almost all of the budgets we have prepared above you will learn to make all these budgets one by one let's get ready a sales budget tells us how many units of each product we can sell in future and at what price so simply speaking it is an estimate of future sales revenue sales budget is made before any other budget because we must know what we can sell before we can start buying and making stuff since a company's budget is as good as its sales forecast companies may use past sales numbers or develop sophisticated sales forecasts techniques to arrive and positive units and prices once we know the units to be sold we can decide how much production to do how much material to buy etc without further delay let us make a sales budget so we have this murder of company here which has estimated unit sales for five months and the price at which they will be sold we need a sales budget for the quarter ending June 30th meaning we need sales of April May and June only to catch total estimated sales for the quarter are you wondering why you are given July and all the sales numbers you will get down sir very soon so all we need to do is to multiply the budgeted sales units by the price per unit and they are done let us see so here I just repeated the question from the previous slide so that you have it when you are solving for the sales budget so a quarter has three months total April May and June Series in units times price per unit and you were done you can copy these numbers or print out the slide for future reference since we will be using these numbers again a production budget shows how many units the company would be making each month you might think why this is not equal to what the company can sell this is because company's wants to keep a little more than exact sales needs to minimize the probability of stock run out in case a sudden rush Demond or any other emergency comes production budget becomes the basis for buying raw material labor consultants and other ingredients for future production so to make a production budget we need to know what we can sell and what we want to keep in our ending inventory so before we make an actual production budget it is useful to pull something out of our memory of the cost flow chapter remember we said that in any inventory account there are two items on the debit side beginning inventory plus what comes into the account and two items are on the credit side ending inventory and what goes out of the riccati naturally debits and credits right must equal each other we can rearrange this equation to solve for what must be added to the inventory like this now think about the current context of production account what is the condition to this account naturally what we will add by producing and what goes out of this economy what goes out of this account is the units that are to be sold so we can reinterpret our general equation to solve any problem of production budget so for Murdoch company we are given some additional information about desired ending inventory and beginning inventory for the quarter remember we need two things to make a production budget budget in sales and desired ending inventory you were given sales information before for the sales budget so here I just copied it down in case you do not have it remember all the examples are based on our common information about world or company now we can start making the production budget so we get budgeted sales units either from our original problem or from the sales budget we have already paid in the table we have three months and a column for the quarter we start with sales needs for each month and our desired ending inventory which is supposed to 20% of the next ones positive sales in units so the red arrow between 4,000 and 20,000 shows that 4,000 is 20% of 20,000 similarly 6000 is 20% of 30,000 the next month's positive seats now look at desired ending inventory of 7,000 in June column where did that come from actually it is just 20% of next month's sales go back and look at the expected sales of July given in the original problem July sales or 35,000 and 7000 in June column is 20% of July's expected sales once we know how much we need for sales and inventory we should be done but wait we have two important things to do before we move on the first is although we know how much we need each month we already have some of it in the beginning inventory beginning inventory of any month must be 20% of this month sales needs by our rule so ending inventory of March 31st becomes the beginning inventory of April 1st and ending inventory of April becomes the beginning inventory of me and so on so the red arrows going down from four thousand to four thousand and six thousand to six thousand just show the ending inventory of previous month copied down as the beginning inventory of next order one more thing to notice is that the quarter column in the table is not a blind total of the first three columns in all cases sure the first number in the corners column is a total of the three but the second number of desired in the ending inventory is not a total why because we need the ending inventory on June 30th which is the end of the quarter and not the total of all three months similarly we need to put down the beginning inventory for the water smartly because beginning inventory for the quarter is inventory on April first not the total of all three months this is an important point and students often make mistakes here so let's go over the column for the quarter once again first number is total budget in units for the water second number is ending inventory on June 30th and not the total and forth number in beginning inventory is inventory on April 1st and not the total so don't be in a hurry to total up all the columns if you are with me so far and notice one more thing and that is the table we have used uses the same equation we have let's go through some examples here we are given some information about cheap chairs we have the company's manufacturing cost and inventories the first question is to make a sales budget for 2012 for sales budget we need the units to be sold and the price at which they will be sold we have had information the very first sentence of the problem so our answer should be 20,000 units times price per unit $50 that's easy next question is to make a production budget for that we would need to know our projected sales and the desired inventory using our simple formula for additions to inventory we should get 20,000 shares and expectancy is minus ending inventory of 2,500 units I'm sorry 20,000 shares in expected sales plus desired ending inventory of 2,500 units minus beginning inventory of 2,000 units will give us twenty thousand five hundred years to be produced in 2012 not bad huh final question is to figure out cost of goods sold remember cost of goods sold is number of units to be sold times manufacturing cost per unit since we are planning to sell 20,000 units and our manufacturing cost is 10 dollars of material per unit $18 of labor and $2 of manufacturing overhead combining them we have 20,000 times 30 as our cost of goods sold everybody with me so far here we have to figure out what she isn't sure would be given the production numbers remember we normally start with sales budget and then go to production budget but here we have to go rehearse but it doesn't matter if you are using her equation method so we will start with our formula and rearrange it to find units sold so we plug in the inventory desired at the end of June which is 20% of July sales and just solve for X you can use this technique even if beginning or ending inventory is missing just rearrange the formula and solve for the unknown happy saw
