more than everybody this Marc Crawford sustainable frugal living and it is December 15th we're getting some sunshine as you can see it's really not that cold but I got thin Bloods covered up anyway I wanted to give you a quick update of our garden we've been somewhat successful come with me we'll check it out ok this is our new structure here that we created with the free pallets we got videos on that you can check out we've got the landscape fabric inside blind inside with compost we actually we have the the core Google method they call it the kugel I guess and there's like say there's videos on that the rest of it filled up with compost now look at the earlier video you would have seen this was full of cucumbers against this welded wire here and we were able to harvest quite a few cucumbers and Teresa has pickled four deal pickles and bread-and-butter pickles I think they call him was really cool and then the rest of them had in our salads against end over there we had ochre plants we had ochre plants over the over there as well okra plants didn't make it we've got a little bit of harvest from the okra but not month I mainly just the small ones for salads the the freezes that we had we had some early freezes here in Texas as well as across the country as the second freeze pretty much did in the okra plants and killed them so the rest here were snap beans and they were Bush beans and we've got we got a lot of those those were very delicious very good and then we had some world crow planted down here you'll see in the other video but anyway this been I plants root in the soil that actually adds to the nitrogen to the soil as it breaks down and I tilled it up at chicken manure compost in this area out it with leaves and so that one's put to bed for the winter that one's done now this bed over here we had tomato plants here and we probably got maybe a dozen tomatoes off of that and of course the like I said the okra plants were here they froze out and died we got a few but the tomatoes we actually had to plant the we had to harvest the tomato plants before the second freeze because we knew it was going to be a hard one and would kill them so several probably about six half-a-dozen of the tomatoes we had to put in the house and let them just ripen in there the rest of all this is beets and they're our root crop so they've done well through the freeze they've been okay and still growing healthy and strong as you can see here we did an intense planning method with the beets so they're not gonna be real large or over in this area here we have our carrots and again we did an intensive planting for our carrots which you can go either way if you do the regular spacing you'll get the larger carrots if you do intensive spacing like this you get more carrots but you're going to get the smaller salad size carrots that's what we were going for here another reason we weren't really sure how well they would do and you can see here they did very very well and it awesome one of the videos I meant 'add what they look like they look pathetic after the thunderstorm is beat them down but obviously they all came back very very well so we've got lots of basically baby carrots over here the last bed of our four new ones it is you can see put to bed do the same thing over here with the compost and leaves put to bed the only thing is we left is the sugar pea plant the one sugar pea plant that we didn't tie up to the welded wire we just left it on its own and it actually survived if you look in the earlier videos we had like three or four plants here that we're just hanging down I'm pretty sure what I did wrong on these just for your knowledge is I planted them too shallow and so they grew but the roots weren't very deep and that was detrimental to the plants so they didn't make it but this one here we we just kept kind of pushing up this way so it would stay out of the dirt and it actually survived there's a couple of plants there and this one actually has some sugar peas on it to harvest I'll show you one maybe you can see one right there this one right here that one right there is ready to harvest but doesn't have a whole lot on it but the one surviving sugar pea plant okay that's it for our new area let's go into the existing garden structure over here check it out our existing garden structure but actually they're all existing this is our older garden structure along with the UV tarp on it or shade cloth the hydroponics was a pathetic disaster we're just busy with the livestock and different things so we're going to let this go until next spring we put pearl light in it and that was a big mistake it's just a lot better with gravel we've we've done it with gravel before and didn't have the gravel to put in until we had lots of pearl light as you can see the bag over there and we got bags over here or perlite so the issue with the perlite is make some ass floats too easily it gets down into the orifices where it drains into the tub and that's a big issue so we're gonna go back to the pea gravel on this I'm sure it'll be a lot better anyway let's take a look right over here we've got these are some transplants from the cups we actually germinated from seed and then transplanted on me here this is spinach you can see there we've got about a half a dozen spinach plants and they're doing real well very good plants and the rest of this is more radish we planted a lot of radish one reason is because radish is very easy to grow and as you can tell here this is pretty much ready to harvest we're going to harvest most of this today if not all of it I said in earlier videos we love radish with barbacoa tacos and salads I love it I mean some people it's not for them it may not be for you but it gives your salads a little bite a little spice and it's healthy very good for you my favourite is in barbacoa tacos with onions cilantro that's the best so anyway let me pull one of these up and you can see without pulling them up here you can see you can see them right there they get that one that's what we're looking at see how big that one is anyway we've got quite a few of them in there time to harvest we'll give some to family we'll eat a bunch and over in this bed we have some broccoli which has just been tore up by the pests you can see just tore up this there's still barely hanging on but I don't think they're gonna make it through the winter and the rest of this bed is yet to be composted and we're gonna put some chicken manure or compost in this on the top of it fill it in and put leaves on it same way put it to bed for the winter get rid of all of them the weeds anyway thanks for watching the video again this is Mark Crawford with sustainable through Installing the Parmak six pack electric fence to protect our garden from bears

**Installing the Parmak six pack electric fence to protect our garden from bears**

View Time:7:18Minutes

Installing the Parmak six pack electric fence to protect our garden from bears. We have deers and bears around our remote cabin and need to keep them out of the garden. One way to do this is by installing an electric fence. Parmak makes a solar electric fence charging system that is easy to install and keeps unwanted animals out of your garden. This electric fencing is a great packet that has keep larger animals out of our raised beds.
While installing the Parmak solar fence charger a humpback whale decided to pay me a visit, along with six blue heron.

Thanks for watching.

today we're going to install the power mac 6-pack electric fence let's get started well I'm not here water in the garden and getting the leaves out of the beds and stuff and the Oh humpback just blew so I thought I'd go see if I could get a little bit on film for you oh there he is it's the mom and the baby her name is flame and his name is Bunsen baby mama anyways that was we got a little rain last night it's been like two weeks since we had rain but we got a little last night but this baby is underneath the older tree so we didn't get anything so I wanted it last night and then this morning I just get these from the older tree out and that's when the will hurt him and then lo and behold the baby was there with it so that was super cool to see first thing in the morning I don't know whenever you pick up a tool supposedly everybody goes so I thought I'd do it too I'm not sure where we left off yesterday or two days ago I brought my son and Ashley out here ashley is piloting the phone we spent the the the day and night and then the next day and I brought him home yesterday and then I just got back this morning so we got the deer netting up so now we're going to move on to putting me the electric fence up I guess we should start off with putting them the base unit and I picked this wonderful tree right here to do it on so let's screw this sucker in bass unit installed alright next we're going to start putting our little insulators around the the wood here and then we'll drive in our ground and rod all right we got the very last insulator to hook up here and then we just got to hook all these into the into the main box there and and get the ground set up and then we'll be good to go so we had yeah we still doing up one two three four five blue heron and the ego kind of scared them off let me see if I can get them in focus here so there's one two that's three then we got these two guys right here that's four five and then the ego was over here there he is he scared them off but they just land it again it's hard to see through the camera but when you when you're just standing here you can see them pretty clear there we go we've got the ground all set up now let's go connect this stuff to the base oh that's it they got the ground and the the hot going to the base here so now we've got to just turn it on and give our test and I found a cool way to test this but I gotta take my boots off or at least a boot so let's get on the outside of the fence here and we'll test this sucker out alright so I got the system charge now but your shoes will will insulate you from from that so you got to take a shoe off to try this out so you have to have a barefoot on the on the ground so you can be grounded as well so let me get my shoe off and you'll also need a blade of grass alright so we got our shoe off got my bare foot on the ground you take the blade of grass and lay it on the electric fence the blade of grass is a resistor so you don't get the full the full shock of the fence but you can definitely feel the closer you get like if you know the closer you get to the fence with your with the blade of grass the more of a shock you get so I'd start off with you know four foot four inches back and then work your way forward but I can definitely feel it from here yeah so the fence is definitely working so let me get my shoe back on here and and we'll call this complete alright well that pretty much sums up this video I think we'll also add one more third layer just to in between layer and I've got like one of them a little latch hook so you can you can take it off and walk over and under this high wire and the very lowest wire so that it just give us one more little extra strand of protection thank you guys for watching we'll see you next time

well good evening everybody it is Brad Krista from the big family homestead wild stuff and things are flying out of the sky let's hope not Wow when we get to be like a big channel like Wrangler star maybe we can talk to some of the military personnel and get a flyover like they do at stadium games just over our house we just want to if we happen to have an attack helicopter just fly over yeah what do you think yeah so good evening folks it is time for some fun we are gonna have another exciting soon-to-be classic edition of Monday night rocks with I just made that up yeah we we we've changed our live night so it's totally thrown us Brad doesn't make his classic lists anymore I do actually know I usually do hit the table you can't we got a new toy we got a new toy that hopefully is going to help you guys here Krista better right as you can see it's kind of in front of her rather than in front of me that's saying I'm just I'm soft-spoken right really not she's camera shy that is true so hopefully the sound is good because I this is pretty much the what has consumed my day pretty much pretty much I had to drive a long way one way buy it get it back get it ready now let's get it ready and so hopefully it sounds worth it yes oh good Alicia likes this night better oh good I did too actually I was just telling Brad yesterday that I really have enjoyed not having to do have a Sunday I have a Sunday off yeah to go do stuff with the kids just to hang out watch movies or play games we have been playing Ticket to Ride how many nights a week three or four nights a week you're assuming they know what that is oh it's a new bort well it's not new board game it's new to us a board game it's a board game where it's got the map of the United States on it and you have to you get these route cards and you have to figure out your route and I won yesterday I won the day before but it's been a lot of fun and it's even digestible for a kid Ruth's age yes she played on hers she usually had in the past had to have you know a team she'll be on a team because it's ages 8 and up well she's almost eight and she's figured it out you know with watching us play and learning and so she's she's doing really really well she played on her own last night Julie James is asking about snow and the answer is yes we did but not much we got snow today it didn't stick no thank heavens thank goodness however we are going to talk a little bit tonight about some books that Julie James has written she isn't and she might not use this term but I'm gonna use this term because she's modest and I'm not modest when it comes to making sure that people understand who the heck you're talking to Julie James is an expert in the quilting arena she even teaches classes on it and we are going to be doing a little feature of some of the ebooks she's created because she can't get all around the country all the time to do these classes so she figured ebooks are gonna be the way to go we're gonna talk about that a little bit later if I can remember so do we got a note I have a note we got a note a note and we're gonna be making sure that you guys can get your hands on those in the near future if you so desire yeah so stuff that's been going on this week as we oh by the way the topic tonight is gonna be saving money yeah lots and lots of money we have stuff antics with all these things these are all just topics right stuff around the house stuff in the kitchen stuff for entertainment all of the things that we have kind of figured a way to pinch a penny tell it screams and or what does that say they say you pinch a nickel till it poops out five or ten pennies that's that's one on things never heard that before well why don't you say hi to some of the folks five dollar fines online store bandanna grandma NYC homesteader Julie James life in the U P I almost said in the up but I know it's you P Northeast Irishman Scott M Franklin North Carolina the hot mess homesteader PMPs southern prairie homestead Steve gun gunning good Megan Inc the mink gun Inc gun Inc no no no you're wrong no you're wrong because the other day he put up on the big family devotions gun Inc Steve oh yeah says I'm sorry I maybe it's a mental block I don't know I promise you I'm not trying to mess your name up he's really not alright Jared night is here geeky gardens wood trucker one Rhonda charlesworth Tyler woods Esther s Phoebe's long she's always got some really funny comments um Kathy is here so Kathy sure how are you so many many many welcomes to you guys tonight is all about saving money and so when a topic comes up because I know I've seen recently bandana grandma they did a video with living on a dime and it was all about saving money and this is a topic that everybody can appreciate because we no matter how much cash we have it always seems like it's almost enough you know one of the funniest statements I've heard when people say I don't have a lot of money as I always have more month money oh yeah no kidding more month than money and so tonight we're gonna share some of the stuff that we do and have learned yeah and this is part of the deal you got to share like when a topic comes up start typing yep this can be a treasure trove of information for people oh yeah and I love the fact that YouTube I don't know how long ago it was when they switched from they used to not have the the chat as documented with the video so you can watch the video and see the chat it didn't used to be that way right now they now they have it to where if you're watching the replay you can also watch the replay of the chat which is really really nice if you're on a mobile device right underneath the title you just hit the live chat button and it pops up and you're good that way your good ideas can be shared among the peeps as well yes yes so where do you want to start inside outside well we're not done with what we've done this week oh we haven't started we're coming back tomorrow started our show yet hung 40 10 minutes in okay so this week has been fun this past weekend we went to the maple fest and they were handing out maple tree saplings good ones yeah they were three feet piece you know three foot long so we've are we've mapped out a place where we want to put want to put those and we'll probably put those in the ground tomorrow because the guy is the arborist that we spoke to said this is a perfect time to put them in the ground for up here anyway yep which ironically we have not done because we put the whites brown I know I was I was getting to that okay yes we also got from this arborist there you go this is a very strange thing for bread I'm in control of the of the list and the conversation so we talked to the arborist and he has a fantastic deal on a bundle of white spruce saplings as well so we got 30 of those for $30 that was such a good deal and so we planted those this weekend we planted those on Saturday to make more of like a snow fence slash privacy fence no East fence yeah so well she got on the list also what we did this weekend is we got we got mace east already Macy's our milk cow and she is getting ready to pop she's got a calf ready to be caved and she's getting the bag is getting big and the thing is getting straight here's a video about it what things business the lady business of the cow not straight just maybe she squishy yeah there was very water some stuff there today is Congress inspirations yes it's normal it's about what happens when it's almost right right so I don't want it it still gets really cold here and not really cold it gets into mid 30s at night here and we do have in the pastures we have some swales and standing water still in some areas and i would just i i'd be beside myself in grief if she had this calf out at night in a puddle of water in it and it perished so i you know i closed in this large side of the stall where we've got the feeders and you know that's where we're gonna put her so it's ready to go we just got to get some straw from a local farmer that we're friends with and so if you're listening friend you know who you are we need to get some straw yeah we need a cup we need a few bales so not not you know too terribly it will still be excused now gonna be inside like I know a lot of farmers when their cows are having calves they're still outside because if they've been outside all winter and you bring them inside they get too hot and they can get sick yeah so you know she's been in and outside all winter so she will she will be right at the doorway there so where she still gets sunlight and in fresh air and things like that right so so the cow is ready to launch let's see what else is going on yeah it's one week till blast-off yep oh we've got chicks coming this week as you know our little meat birds they're gonna be delivered and I'll tell you what that's one of the ways I mean I know I'm jumping the gun but if you can raise your own food that is a serious way to save a lot of money huge other things other things we have two weeks left of school yeah let me let me go ahead and there's we have two weeks left of school I'm actually okay this is gonna sound silly I've actually kind of thought that I might shorten up our summer break when it's super hot in this in August I might start a bit earlier I might start maybe the end of July but I don't know yet well there's been a lot of studies that show that if you take big long breaks it's a lot harder for the student to recover and remember what it was that they were dealing with well I I know homeschooling is definitely where I kinda go yes ma'am generally unless I unless I have a real reason to push back I'm going youyou know what you're doing right right you always give me really good tips and and and helpful ideas on okay if I'm stumped on something but you know it's I you know there's a lot of folks that's that homeschool year-round they shorten their week to four days a week and they will take you know three week breaks you know different periodic you know periods throughout the year so I I don't know I might lean towards that I'm not exactly sure so well yeah we'll see so I I kind of I kind of think that that's wise because just the studies that I've seen but I think our kids would scream and fall down dead if that happened well they don't they're not used to having a full like summer like the public school summers are we have never done it yeah the year before we started late because we moved up right and then ended early because we still had a lot to do so I don't know I think I might have a protest on my hands if I go full year push off okay so here's here's the thing there's some big news that is happening in our family and I cannot remember whether we full untold you guys or we've but I'll get to it give me a paper cut that list day anyway so if we have not already said so our son Jonathan has made a decision to enlist in the army and he has done so we spent this morning and we're super happy because let me tell you what the kid he he's a sweetheart of a kid but he does need some structure and and he's of that age where he's like mom dad you don't know blah blah blah blah blah yeah so anyway I we're tickled to death not only are we just proud as can be because we feel like it's a it's an important thing to serve your country but he he's I just know that he's gonna flourish and the job that he's selected now if you if you don't know the way that the military works now is not the way it works when I joined the Marine Corps remember okay she's reminding me that we're not supposed to tell his job right it's a really good one so there it's gonna fit him nice perfectly he'll work with his hands yes he will not yeah yeah we can't we can't tell his job sorry so I guess I shouldn't we should have talked about that beforehand right yeah but we were super proud of him hoping that you know this will be a really good something let's try that guys we were working on getting our settings all right and we're still working on it so hopefully that will help a little bit yeah so anyway we're super proud and he got a job that he's happy with and I think he'll be yeah very content right right he almost chose the same job as his brother which we were not sure we would not have been happy with however I think David probably would have loved it well and they would probably have gotten station I'm gonna try one more thing and I speaking of David someone's asking any news on the grand baby the grand baby is growing nicely they have about four more months he's the baby's due in August so yeah we cannot wait to meet the baby meet that baby get that hands on that baby yep so anyway that's huge news for our family and so for the well-wishers thank you very much now what else do we have before we move into the money-saving awesomeness just the Thrive sale well bring it on here Randy Anna grandma just put up the page it ends tonight midnight admit at 11:59 mountain time so if your East Coast that's a little bit later for you which is nice but yeah it's 11:00 p.m. 11:59 p.m. mountain time is when that sale ends tonight so if you are you know still on the fence about wanting to get a few deals off of their website don't hesitate because it is and the jazz music is back so I'm trying to do a few things there hopefully this will help with some of that sound we're still tweaking the link okay Claire news Claire is almost finished with high school she graduates in a couple of weeks and then she will be working like a fiend all winter all summer it feels like winter all year know all summer and and then she'll be off to college September first yeah which bittersweet go ahead for her but it's one of those things where I'm you know well I can't talk too much about it or else she's gonna have a meltdown it's that way for me too it's that way for me to you know when your kids are growing up and you know it's one of the things it's just not fun but has to be yeah it has to be please okay continue on with that know what oh I'm I'm not doing this no okay I didn't see what your yep yeah it's called a give-and-take when people try to talk you know anyway so okay so what else okay did you want to talk about the website real quick um our website yeah yeah this right here okay yeah yeah yeah okay so we don't forget yeah I'm not a problem as you know Julie James we mentioned earlier that she is the queen bee of quilting yeah and we we've kind of tried to figure out a way where we can help some folks out who've got really good stuff that they either make or information that they have that would be great for our crowd and frankly we're not good at quilting and she is great at it so she has created some ebooks that we are going to feature on her website very soon she's making some final tweaks and updates and she's even I didn't tell you this because we've been running around yeah but we'll be able to offer a free pass a free pattern that she's created and so we're gonna we're gonna get on that very soon so be looking for that if you're not already a subscriber to the newsletter that we have yet to write for our website that would be a good a good place to start because we're gonna really hit the gas and and and I mentioned this last week to guys that if there are folks out there who have something that you make that would complement what we do reach out because you know we don't make and do everything even though we try to learn as much as we can if there's a way that we can offer you guys a great way to offer the products and services and information that you have and you you benefit a little and we benefit a little we love those win-win-win well yeah so reach out if you're interested if you have something that you want to just say hey would this work our our email address is in the link below and it's info dot big family homestead at gmail.com so yeah with that said she does a sidenote she makes amazing quilts she is super super talented she made one for grace oh it was gorgeous absolutely gorgeous and grace absolutely loves it so it's got her name on it which people love well Alicia the the whole idea is to approach us not to make a mini commercial right now oh my goodness okay so tonight we're gonna be talking about things that we can that everybody can do to save money around the house that are super super easy you know they don't take a lot of money if any to start up how do you want to start this yeah we worked on our list why don't we start food food is an easy one because we deal with food a lot we have seven kids not all of them are home now but still eat a lot and you know Alicia I'm not I'm not bitter or angry or anything like that it just was really funny as I didn't think about it and it's like yeah he probably says hey everybody start selling your stuff I meant we'd love to help you yes we'd love to help you by selling it on our website for you so yeah Tina and I've been waiting on your email too by the way she's mentioning because she did reach out and I was waiting for some kind of continued conversation with family issues right not a problem all right so food stuff now once again if you have ideas on a topic on on ways people would say money type it in there yep even if we've talked about it maybe you've got a new spin on it right so easy things why don't you start all right so easy things you know in the in the kitchen food wise bagged salads super pricey you can get you know it has lettuce carrots and cabbage generally you can get ones that are just just lettuce but it's it's such they're like how much are they I don't even know cuz we haven't bought them forever I think aren't they like three or four dollars a bag it's insane so you know a head of lettuce if you buy it maybe a dollar fifty dollar 70 you know if you buy the bag with the the organic bag of the three heads of romaine lettuce it might be three dollars well for us we use if we're having salad for dinner just salad we'll eat the whole bag and that's three dollars you just have to cut it and wash it the bag salads they're already washed but it's you're spending so much more money yeah and well yes that's the short answer the only trick to that is that you you really don't want to buy more than you're going to use trip because it's generally gonna get wasted right and thrive life does not make a solid mix yeah it's really kind of hard to have freeze-dried it would probably pray pretty crunchy so yeah the lettuces that that's a deal and you know let's just talk about basic shopping things and then we'll get into specifics one thing that you'll notice about the way that a grocery store will place their items is they place the ones that they're gonna make the most profit on right at eye level if you're looking for the good deals either look to the bottom of the racks or the top of the racks those are the places that you're gonna find the best bargains and sometimes the best bargains will be generics but not always no not always you know a lot of times the store or the name brand is going to be cheaper than the store brand you just have to watch the size and the amount per ounce the the all the stores keep going Omnitrix okay the all these stores are a huge way to save tons of money and they have gone to where it's they're getting rid of all the pesticides that the the farmers use for all of the foods and they're going with they're going more natural which is fantastic what else well all these sounds I was just talking about general shopping trades true now one thing that well first of all yes all these stores kick butt if you have access to an Aldi store or a GFS like a Gordon food service store is that store they have such great deals however you still have to watch them because sometimes their sale prices are not really on sale they're just trying to get rid of them right which brings me to name-brand vs. generics versus coupons all right now a lot of people think that okay I'm gonna start my coupons and then I'm gonna go buy a ragu spaghetti sauce when in reality even getting the deal on the rag do spaghetti sauce you're still paying more than you would a generic hmm now I understand that sometimes you just don't want the generic you like the taste of that one that you're gonna have to decide for yourself how you're gonna deal with that right right I mean we you know even if you had a double coupon day do they even do double coupons anymore I don't even know but you know a jar of ragu is about 350 at least here yes not cheap it's not cheap and I will be honest I grew up my mom always made ragu and I absolutely loved the flavor of it so once in a great while I'll buy it just as a treat but normally we buy the cans under a dollar and it tastes really good mm-hmm but and those are on the bottom two shows you just got a watch yep and in terms of the couponing mm-hmm I understand that there are people that swear on extreme couponing we've tried it twice in our lives but first of all you have to be like hyper organized like hype even to make like the best to make those deals where that you see the videos where it's like a haul of all of this stuff and it can be done but number one you have to you have to be willing to wait a long period of time til that coupon in that item come together under the light of the the stars and the heavens lineup and then you can get your good deal but most people can't shop that way no you got to think how long is it taking me to save 50 cents you know is it worth your time per hour you know that was one that was one thing that I couldn't get past is I'm spending all of this time hour hours and hours and hours away from my family because I'm so focused on this that I'm missing out on the real the real what's the word I'm trying to say I would say you're wasting your time I yes I'm really I'm taking away time from my family to do this and it's that's not worth it to me well that's the thing you gotta you've got to be willing to say okay what is my threshold you know I'm just seeing a coupon or coupon a comment was from the adaptive Maritime er with me its brand name or bust and you know what some people I get that yeah you know if that's just how it is however then you just have to have it in your head you're gonna pay more money right right if you're okay with that you're okay with that right yeah I just I I tried it for a long time you know and the store brand items the majority of the items I won't say all I will say the majority of the items taste just as good as the name brands us anyway now however we won't buy generic Hellmann's because it's right we tried to tried Duke's like Dukes I tried homemade it's almost as good just not quite helmets yeah so it it's it's one of those things that and and Aldi has it and it's slightly cheaper than even Walmart yeah um I want to address something there so Larry say earlier about growing things in your garden and yes 100% yes and that is on our list but we didn't want to like lead with that because it would seem like all we're gonna do is talk about the stuff that we do yeah cuz not everybody came out everybody can and so to address that yes if you have the ability to do a garden I suggested highly not only are you gonna save a ton of money however you have to be careful here is the dirty secret about gardening that most people won't tell you and it's not a joke the soil joke the dirty secret is most of the time people do it in a way that they spend so much getting set up that it would have been a lot cheaper for them to buy five times the amount of produce right off the shelf when you're set in your garden up you have got to be judicious and where you get your soil are you gonna get your plants from seed are you going to use things that you already have because if you do not you'll end up spending a lot more than if you had just bought the stuff right off the shelf oh yeah we've done that we have done that you know it it for us to start our seeds you know now that you say that it it did take us some getting you know we had to buy seed starter soil you know the potting mixes here we don't have everything it's frozen everything's frozen I couldn't get it out of the garden you know of course now in the garden that dirt is more clumpy it's doesn't hold its moisture as long as this potting mix so but what I do plan on doing is saving that soil and reusing it well you can always add nutrient supplements to it like liquid nutrients and we're big advocates of what they call worm tea vermicompost ii using worms specifically in our case red wigglers as a way to implement your soil with amazing stuff oh yeah but that does not need to be expensive it does not need to be expensive but when it comes to the garden yes garden everything you can just be very careful that you're not spending more than you're actually saving exactly exactly okay let's get back to the grocery store let's talk about some of these no-brainer items and I'm seeing a lot of great ideas as well keep them coming okay I'll do one and then you do one well this one just kind of a okay I'm going okay I'll do the other okay that one my what was about four years ago yeah got gifted which is something I wanted one of those Keurig coffee machines it only took me about two weeks before I realized that the Keurig coffee machine was of the devil because I'm like ooh this one tastes like Frappuccino whoa this tastes like that this tastes like that and it didn't dawn on me that it was getting really expensive really fast yeah how much I can't remember how much were they perk a cup wasn't it he's over $1 per cup of coffee and and we figured out that they were actually the model of Keurig that I had it had some kind of copy protection that it would not allow you to use generic k cups in it it wouldn't read them so it wouldn't make the coffee right and so I was like what yeah and then we figured out that somebody had made a hack and you can get like this generic red plastic that you put your own coffee in and then you can use that but K Cups stay away from K Cups well not only are they expensive they're filling up the the the landfills I mean this plot and now I think they're starting to make ones that are biodegradable but you know it's still it's still in the convenience yes you're getting the convenience factor where you're like oh I want this plot yeah but they're pricey yes they're so reusable is in our opinion if you're gonna have one of those things thanks reusable exactly exactly yeah okay I just I didn't want to cut you off though now the other thing that is a huge pet peeve of mine is that you that they have in the store and they're ridiculously priced our season packets and marinades Oh marinades dollar piece those are the cheap ones that have tons of sodium tons of msg and other chemicals preservatives and things like that that you know it's just it's not good for your family so we make our own seasonings and marinades you know anytime we have grilled chicken or something Brad he's so funny he look he will create this glorious marinade right out of stuff he's just dust on the shelf he's he's an evil scientist is what he is in the kitchen so he goes in he just pulls this off the shelf and he makes this marinade for chicken or pork or whatever and then he'll never remember how he made it drives me bonkers that is quite yes we're getting better about writing down what we make because I'll hound you what did you put in there and so I'll have to write down what he made and save it well yeah you know I'm just seeing more comments on the coffee thing and what I've graduated to is I don't use a Keurig machine anymore I don't even use the single service coffee thing anymore I use a camping percolator yeah he's the only one that drinks coffee mmm excuse me yep yeah once you give him another idea okay baking mixes that's another huge savings because if you don't buy him you know the the the JIT okay but timeout okay you okay but there's you know there's a lot of the baking mixes are just they're overpriced and you can make them so easily at home there's tons of websites that have different recipes for brownies cakes biscuits muffins you know whatever and waffles well that's in pancakes yeah that I mean we have one that we absolutely love a pancake mix and it's just a few ingredients it's not it's not hard but anyway yeah well and but what she was getting at was there's recipe that we make that we break the rule on and it's called lemon bliss and we have not found a good substitute cake mix that we've come up with that makes the lemon bliss the way it is now lemon bliss if you can imagine it it's kind of like a graham crackery crusty kind of butter and sugar it's cake it's a know the bottom yeah it's a cake mix right but that's I'm describing what it's like oh oh I see okay okay and then the top is the top is eggs cream cheese it's like a custard yeah it's like a custard it's eggs and cream cheese and I powdered I can't remember I haven't made it in a while yeah yeah but it's delicious and that's the only thing that will actually buy cake mix for right because it's just easy and the dollar cake mix is fine right exactly so we buy the lemon cake mix and and then we make the the filling so Tammy Hanson says Brad I noticed that in one of your older videos you were cooking you were cooking what happened fell I cook all the time oh yeah yeah you here's the thing guys when we do our life thing on on Thursdays it's just set up that way because I don't use it acuter stuff we just did it yeah yeah and I actually do probably more cooking than mom at us yeah yeah I think it's yeah it's probably yeah there's nothing bad about that I don't know I'm doing I like doing it actually um so maybe I'll have to maybe whip up a video here and there yeah but all I can say anyway more Morse money some water bottles oh what about them don't buy them water bottles okay don't buy water bottles okay you know we have you know there's at Walmart they have tons of these kind of cups Walmart they have kinds that you know they have the screw tops it's just it it's so expensive to buy these water bottles and you know you're just throwing the way the the you're just filling up the landfill with these plastic bottles unless you can recycle them and but yeah I I like having steel and you really you know the plastic especially don't freeze the plastic bottles and then drink out of it because when that that ice expands a plastic model it releases those chemicals into your water and you're drinking that so yeah and it'll save you a lot of money right now I see a lot of people are saying they make their own taco mixes here's a little secret one of the things that we're putting together is that we're gonna put on our website for sale is Krista's secret sauce on this now we actually have a video on basic sauce on mix it's it's incredible but we have tweaked it and we've made it better and that will be coming to a theater near you soon as a matter of fact we just got the bags in the mail yep we have everything now that we need to put it together and if you want any all right more shopping stuff okay more shopping stuff this is more like cleaner stuff household cleaners are expensive Windex is what 350 or more per bottle depending yeah and it's that's crazy and then the scrubby stuff what do we what is it called the it's office pro it's like a soft scrub it's that's the name brand yeah that's the name brand but it's it's an alternative to that to where it's baking soda vinegar castile soap and then and that's it and that works just as good as the soft scrub stuff and you've got no chemicals in there that are harmful no harmful chemicals I mean vinegar and baking soda one quick thing I want to go back you keep where you're at Northstar prepster is asking about what is SAS on SAS on is it's it's fairy dust from the gods that has been sprinkled down no it's a Latin seasoning that is very I can't even put my finger on it it's not like taco seasoning but there are elements that are in taco seasoning that are there it's very Cuban it's very not Spanish like Spain South America South American kind of food a lot of pop there's garlic in there there's a lot of its really really great on things like red beans and rice really great on things like fish chicken chicken oh my gosh you put some oil and a little bit of vinegar with this song on a chickens let that marinate for day it's done it forget it forget it yeah and Krista's version of it is better than any I've ever tasted it's just better than any I've ever tasted well and there's not tons of sodium in it there's no MSG in it it's just one word ingredients right simple ingredients going back to hustle cleaners household cleaners for a window cleaner again vinegar and water and a couple of drops of dr. Bronner's castile soap then what else we make our own window cleaner I was just I thought you were talking about the soft scrub no the soft scrub it they're very similar ingredients but we for the window cleaner we don't use the baking soda for the soft scrub style cleaner it's baking soda dr. Bronner's i use i always use peppermint it just makes the bathroom smell so good and clean instead of that vinegary smell the dr. Bronner's the vinegar baking soda and a tad bit of water and that makes a fantastic soft scrub we use it in the toilet in the tub on the counter any time we need to scrub some soap scum off of the walls it just works great I'm just trying to think those are the two main ones that we use that's that's pretty much all we use but then you're tired guys that's like pennies oh yeah you're talking less than a quarter great to make a bunch of it and the vinegar actually acts as a natural disinfectant and it's good all the way around that saves you a ton of money yeah well else we got paper towels stop buying paper towels oh my gosh get some rags go to garage sales pick up old towels cut them into the you know whatever you want you can pick them up for a quarter sometimes or less cut them into the shapes you want and and then you can reuse them use them till they're rags and just then do time in two or not and give them to the dog to play with right we in the past I have just gotten those big packages of rags from Walmart they're just washcloth size so I think it's four dollars maybe 392 or something like that for a package of eighteen of those where you're spending the same amount of money on a roll of paper towels you're gonna use once and throw away yeah and that's just we stopped buying paper towels what years ago ten years ago me years ago and you know what at first it's an adjustment because you're like no if there's a rag right there it's clean we save so much money so much money and you know I have to run the load of wash anyway and it's just that's pennies you know we don't we have a well so we're not paying for water the propane to dry them is really not a big deal it's oh I'm like you're being ripped off what what happened no the house other things are on the house haircuts oh this is a big one you need another one already so okay since our children were very young especially the boys I've always cut their hair until they had a job and they didn't want mama to cut her hair fine I'll cut your hair for free but if you want a different style you kind of go pay for that at the barber shop brother and they did and they did when I got old enough and guess what happened when Jonathan got old enough he stopped going to the barbershop and started doing it himself yep which is great well and and even if you've never done it before first of all okay ladies haircuts yeah I can get it that there's gonna be a little bit of learning curve there I'm not sure that mama wants me cuttin her hair and that's okay I will be I will be completely honest I'm the only one that goes to the salon and I don't go to an expensive one I'll go to Supercuts for great clips wait for a coupon Oh spends seven dollars on a haircut I will not pay more than 20 if I have to pay 20 dollars I am irritated that I had to spend that much money on a haircut but all of the girls and the boys I have cut their hair from the time that they were babies and that alone when you consider the amount of people that's in our house that's hundreds of dollars hundreds of dollars a year so you can spend 20 bucks and get your clippers or keep paying that my haircut doesn't change I mean it used to right right Thanks I was in a band yeah well I used to do that here cuts to true so very true yeah so other other stuff in that category I'm seeing out a great interaction guys there is another thing that I have stopped buying and it's dryer sheets and that has a two-fold benefit okay dryer sheets yes they can be costly they also can clog your dryer vent okay you're not your dryer yeah the the lint catcher yeah that wax that's on those dryer sheets clogs that dryer vent if you use dryer sheets okay do this little experiment take your dryer the lint catcher out clean the lint off run water under on it just run some cold water on there does the water go straight through or does it kind of puddle up on your on your lint catcher because if it puddles up that means your clothes are not being dried efficiently enough well and that means you're wasting more electricity exactly or propane if you have a propane dryer yeah that was something I learned years and years ago and I stopped using them although I hate staticky clothes yeah Tyler you can use a clothes line too but staticky you can kind of help to eliminate the static in your clothing by using the wool dryer balls that really does help to dry the clothes faster and it reduces the amount of electricity or propane that you were using to heat to dry your clothes what was the other thing I was going to say I know drying clothes drying clothes you use the dryer balls and it like I said it reduces the amount of time your dryer is going and it helps to reduce that static if you don't you have to time it to where the clothes are just dry if you over dry that's when the static really sets it you know there's a lot of static did you talk about dryer balls yes I said use the dryer balls it helps to dry the clothes faster that's right that's right okay so let me see what you got over there now I will make a mention of this that there's a lot of people that say that you can make your own dry a washing liquid your washing laundry so and you know what if it works for you guys great we've gotten those saponification balls the soap nuts and they just they work okay but we got smelly kids we have farm clothes and so they just did not cut it right it did not cut it and that's one thing that we do have to spend money on but we still make sure we're not buying the name brands well we do get a name brand but it's a cheaper name it's a cheaper name brand we don't buy Tide we don't buy all of those you know okay if you look at your your aisle your your laundry so payal you got tied on one end which is the most expensive and it seems like they decrease in in price all the way down there you get the further you get down to the cheap stuff and I has where the pure ex lives we buy Purex I love Purex okay I honestly have tried making my own soap and I know lots of people have great success with it I just I like my clothes to not smell like the farm so I'll use the pure X and I'll use vinegar because it really does help to get eliminate that that barn smell but it's just funny because tide is so expensive you know for a small container it's like you know twenty dollars and then I spend seven six ninety seven on a big humongous jug of it it even has the baby soap we love the baby soap you know it's three dollars for the baby Purex and it's it's for a big container I love it here's another one that we've not been successful with we've tried it it did save money it was not good toothpaste yeah we've tried to make our own toothpaste using the diatomaceous earth as your grit and then trying to add essential oils and it just didn't get it to where we were happy with it it just didn't I just I didn't like it I really didn't like the as how gritty it felt and you know I just didn't like it sorry well you know what let's everybody's still sharing a lot of great stuff so let's let's move on to entertainment this is one that this was one that that I personally drove me nuts cut your cable bill off just shut it off yeah it's not most of the stuff there is not really worth watching anyway and get get yourself if you're like oh we like watching movies we'll get Netflix yeah or get Amazon Prime or any of those streaming services that are cheap like Hulu Roku there's even a clean really care flicks I don't remember how much it is the problem with pure flicks and work Christians is that I can't stand how bad the content is it's it may be clean it's just it's okay let's just say as a guy I would beg to watch hallmark movies over this I'm not getting any explosions I'm not getting anything cool yes the contents clean and we endorse that we do endorse that right right but it's just right there's another one is mainly British shows or Canadian ones it's called acorn TV that one is really inexpensive I think it's $5.99 a month and you get all of these really cool shows I okay Jeanne Marie you just hit one that I was wanting to say so you beat me sister go you know ditch that ditch that cable bill most libraries now have incredibly good selections of DVDs you can get for free yep if you don't if you don't want to do a streaming service you can do this when we lived in Cincinnati their public library system was in same there was had to be 20 different locations they were all connected and if you wanted something you could go onto online and anything you could think of they had it number one and number two you would just go click and then send it to my library they would truck this stuff around the city and then they would let you know hey email your your videos there if you want to go get it yeah does that with CDs even albums and of course books and other kinds of media so entertainment is something you really don't need to pay a lot of money for anymore unless you just still like you know and okay ceases free movies on YouTube there are actually lots of movies on YouTube yeah and lots of TV shows that you can find on youtube so and there's lots of homesteading educational shows big family homestead subscribe but in the bill so you get notification sorry so that's another one now here's one that's a favorite of mine is get a local or statewide guide even if you got to go to the Chamber of Commerce or whatever you do find all the local festivals and fairs a lot of them are free like we we generally have something to do when the snows gone till the snow comes back every weekend there's something that you can do within a two hour drive that's generally free well and not just one thing there's probably 10 or 15 things you just have to pick the one you want to go see yeah so let's see yeah those festivals we had a fun time last weekend well we had one good experience and one not so good experience yeah yeah yeah so it's okay and then another thing too if you could choose to spend a lot of money if you wanted to go to a sporting event I'm not into that or you can choose to maybe just wait and watch it on TV mm-hm you good or here's the other thing to buying an antenna if you live in a rural area buying an antenna and getting all of your local channels for free is a heck of a lot better of a deal than if you're saying well I just want to watch the news and I want to know what's going on locally and I want to watch this I got a watch Matlock great and you're doing that just to get your local stuff we'll get a good dent enha that's gonna cost you less than a hundred bucks and then you just saved yourself in the long run a ton of money there razzing us about the bulk of yeah it's it's free unless it's a Polka Fest is true they had food though yeah so that's probably why there was a fee I okay can I tell the funny story about the restroom okay so you gotta keep in mind though we had to drive we drove an hour to get there right or was it about 45 minutes about 45 minutes and the bathroom okay TMI so there's no bathrooms around no letter han they were gonna let me in and I'm like can I just use your bathroom she's like well and I'm putting my hand up like I'm talking on the phone question is what's not wrong with me anyway so I go in it's like can I just use the restroom she's like well you have to make sure you come out this way and yet you actually come out and leave my house just gonna lie to you and go in and hang out look at my age I'm 30 years younger than everyone in this building and not to mention that we had just brought everybody into the foyer they saw us with a gaggle of children and me and then so I guess the idea is that she's gonna steal her way into the Polka fest well the family waits outside I'm gonna let him in the back door I think is what she was thinking to go to the restroom and it was just really funny it's just really funny but she was she didn't wanna let Jim know she didn't wanna let me go to the bathroom and I'm not going in the port-a-potty so there TMI there are tons of festivals there are tons of you know really cool small-town things that you can do that not only gonna be fun for you but also support your local community that's great and you know I'm just looking at some comments here you can google guys how to make your own antennas out of things like Pringles cans what yeah away there are people that would hack Wi-Fi with them just saying not us we didn't know we don't do that I just may know how to do that we do not we pay for our own internet and others okay let's move on yeah no kidding another thing these are some miscellaneous things you know there are Dollar Tree store all over the place or dot see okay now Dollar General is not the same thing as Dollar Tree Dollar Tree is where everything is a dollar Dollar General they have different prices on different items so I think everything's like I don't even know if I don't know we don't shop there I can't say whether what it is but the Dollar Tree has tons of great deals in there you do have to be careful though sometimes it's not a good deal well and you have to be careful of some of the products as well toothpaste the Dollar Tree sells crest or Colgate or whatever but whatever the P&G brand is I don't we don't buy it they don't have a plant in Africa so don't buy that one from I don't buy that one you have to pay attention to the labels the things that I like to get there are their tortillas their tortillas are fantastic and there's ten in there for a dollar so they're ten cents apiece another thing I like to get is the storage bins you know these they have you know these all these really cool pretty cloth ones that everybody's putting on the shelves they have ones that are cloth they're not the highest quality but there are a dollar and if it breaks so what go buy another one greeting cards are another huge deal I think they're two for a dollar at the at the Dollar Tree yeah just be careful though because there are things that are cheaper at Walmart then there are at the dollar dollar store right like you know if we are having like some special event and the kids like every once in a while we'll do like family movie night or we'll do an event where it's gonna be like the kids we're gonna put on a gala at the house and then there's gonna be a movie and we're gonna have pizza and the kids get a little box of candy and then you know we do that once in a while well those boxes of candy they sell you at Walmart or a dollar well sometimes they're not a dollar elsewhere you just gotta be careful and watch they have them they have them for a dollar at the dollar tree or their smaller ounces yeah they can also be smaller sizes office supplies dogs are freaking out downstairs they have tons of office supplies just watch the quantities because it can be cheaper at Walmart versus the Dollar Tree I like to get a lot of some of our school supplies there I don't buy crayons or paper or anything like that because I can get that cheaper during the the back-to-school sales at Walmart but if I'm if I'm really needing like paper clips or things like that note cards you just got to watch you know how many is in this note card package versus the one at Walmart so but you know it's fine I'm looking at some comments and I got a funny story to tell somebody where's where's I can't find it right now greeting cards I hate space spending height dollars on green cards yeah this is kind of a funny thing at the church that I worked in it was customary that on somebody's birthday the rest of the staff would pay to take that person out to lunch and then everybody had to bring a gift card or gift not a greedy green card and I didn't know I'm just like puzzled you know so the very first thing I did was well what's wisenheimer Brad do it was like I thought okay this is gonna be fun right funny and so I won first birthday dinner oh my first birthday lunch I I it was a younger person so I instead of getting like a hey aren't you great sappy birthday card I got him a sympathy card I thought that was for your boss yeah didn't really go over well and then when I didn't get it I didn't get that you're supposed to go and buy like a $5 card or something that pops out and I was like I don't know stupid $5 card didn't you do like a construction paper and crayons one time yeah that was next yeah cuz I thought I was wrong I thought it was about the thought yeah parent lien and then I tried then I tried just a regular old quick pick lotto ticket that didn't go over very well hey you know I I put a lot of thought of these you should at least appreciate the thought I put into it apparently not is their surface I'm spending a dollar you've got a chance to make a million you know my grandfather what would you do he used to just tape a dollar on the package let's forget the greeting card I'm gonna give you the buck so that's what my granddad used to do that was that was really funny so alright like the kids the kids all love that because we're gonna dollar forget the president we got a dollar right so okay thanks couple more things miscellaneous miscellaneous stuff travel sized products your if you have to travel a lot or you're going on some trip don't buy the travel sized stuff that they have at the store because you're spending a dollar on what two or three ounces you're never gonna make the deal or I'm never gonna make the deal a lot of the hotels if you're staying in a hotel have those items just use those and and yours until it's down to usable they stores also have travel size empty containers where you can take your dollar shampoo which we buy i buy the the suave shampoo it's a dollar ninety two for the big humongous bottles and i'll pour it into not that not that i travel a ton but i'll pour it into those travel sized containers that you buy at Walmart or better yet when you go to a hotel bring those containers home dump them out with her help them out or and put yours in there then it's abused true true you know if it's just it's silly little things like that that are gonna that are gonna add up and save you just you know a few dollars here a few dollars there it's it's it all adds up yeah and okay let's talk you know this this one we didn't actually write down on the page but it's something that I but you can't go off script I always yeah I know as Claire would say duh bigger purchases stuff that's gonna cost you serious bucks there is a financial guru who's a believer named Dave Ramsey and I generally really appreciate a lot of his advice when it comes to saving money and if you've never heard of him I suggest you check it out check him out Dave Ramsey mm-hmm I disagree with some of the things he says just because I find some of the things he says unrealistic yes in today's world if you have a family it's really really really hard to buy any large purchase like a home without getting alone you know stuff like that however I just wanted to make mention of Dave Ramsey's name so that you can check into it four ways to get our debt he's excellent he's an excellent resource on ways to get out of debt and you know he I kind of there's my I agree with most of what he has to say there's just some things I'm like easy for you dude you're rich right exactly you know yeah it's you know I love the envelope system where you have different envelopes for the different categories that you need to buy like you'll have a grocery envelope household items clothing if you do haircuts you can put haircuts you know that kind of thing and then you just set aside a little bit each month and then if you use it once it's gone it's gone you know it's that that's a great way to to save money but yep in Tyler woods is making mention of a huge one absolutely used car versus big new car it's it's a no-brainer oh yeah yeah when you drive it off the law it's worth what 30 40 % less just by driving a new car buy a used car if you can it's already got all the bugs worked out of it yeah hopefully you get it from a reputable place exactly exactly but big purchases now here's one that we've talked about in the past this is one of the well practically most people your home is your biggest purchase well how do you get a good deal on a mortgage there are plenty of places that you can look around our rocket mortgage and all this stuff but if you are interested in getting like an acre of land and a home I would suggest and we have personally done this look into the USDA Rural Development Loan Program it is zero down zero down and the interest rates are stupid low and there are thirty five year mortgages thirty three thirty three year mortgage agreed that they make you jump through some hoops oh yeah but the hassle is saving tens of thousands of dollars yep and it's zero down well they have if you go online they have a PDF that you can look at the every state and counties income requirements by however many people you have in your household and you actually have preference if you don't make so much money yep yeah we've done it before we've done it before and we've introduced some friends of ours to it that live nearby us in Cincinnati and they did it yep they got an excellent home on a nice sized lot yeah and it was hassle free for them yeah it really was it really was we had to jump through some hoops but it was not that big of a deal yeah I mean you have to take an online class that teaches you basic money-making and not money-making but money management skills well and and taking care of the house you know they just want to make sure you're not gonna default on the loan because it's gonna hose everybody wait and that program is called the USDA Rural loan development program it's in every state and unless you live in a very packed city center there's usually options around you that you can look and go pick your own house right you can pick the house you want go to realtor.com and check it out you know I would check it out but that one that one's a huge one yeah there's there are limitations but its limitations for every every county is lightly different and according to your family size the the size of the houses is different when we were in Ohio that was you know you couldn't get any house that was bigger than 1,800 square feet depending on the family size depending on the family size and you couldn't get more than two acres well and that's depending on the area which we found out right the township if your Township requires a minimum of five acres then the USDA will approve a five acre piece of property because that's the smallest the township will allow so there is a question I would like you to answer because you're probably gonna remember Steve is asking zero down but you have to pay PMI I don't remember I don't remember I don't remember sorry Steve that's why I'm sorry I really don't remember it was a long time ago a long time ago it was 2014 yeah so that was five years ago for us anyway in reality the bottom line is this guys we're gonna wrap up here real soon yeah but there are a million ways that you can save money yep and it's so frustrating when people tell me I am on a limited budget or I'm on a fixed budget and so I can't do XYZ there are so many ways that you can always trim a penny mm-hmm it's just most of us in if we're telling the truth don't really wanna we're happy with what we were doing right and we don't want to do any change yeah and real quick the way that I you know I in our in our family I pay the bills okay so what I do is I just have a small it's it's half this size a smile a spiral notebook that I write down all of the bills that are due for that month in the order of the month that they're due in um no did that make sense in the order yes okay and then what we'll do is every month or so we will look at that and say okay what can we trim mm-hmm you know I think I'm not exactly I think we could probably even trim more but you know it's it's you have to evaluate that every so often you know okay are we truly spending this much money on food are we truly spending this much money on household items when we can take that extra and pay it towards the mortgage or the car payment kind of thing so that's that's another way that you can save some money you know not paying that interest on that car or or mortgages is huge well keep in mind guys that this is we've just spent only just little over an hour and we've talked about 50 easy 50 ways that you can make money not make money say save money and you guys have shared five times that amount on ways that you can shave those dollars so that you can keep more in your pocket and so I would just suggest that if you re watch this if only for the comments yeah exactly put something back on you know listen to something else or whatever but read back for the comments because there's been a ton every time I look over I'm like I want to talk about that but I don't wanna interrupt right I'm sorry no it just it's there's a lot of great yeah there's a lot of great content so we may end up talking about saving money again next week but we'll see so with that we are gonna say add you did you parting is such sweet and sour yeah we have kids to put to bed yep so anyway I'm bread I'm Krista you guys have an amazing and blessed night but before we go I almost forgot we usually say a prayer we're a family to believers and we don't hide that we we you know you guys would stick around but we also want to be respectful of people that may not think the same way we do then I don't believe that Jesus is the kind of God that's gonna bash people over the head and say you will sit down and listen so we're not gonna do that either so if that's not your thing we hope you stick around but if that's not your thing we understand and hopefully we'll see you back next Monday night but we're getting ready to go into a time of Prayer so with that said guys here's the thing all of this preparedness all of this money saving all of the everything we do in my opinion if you don't have a right relationship with God you're just wasting your time and I'm not meaning that in a derogatory manner I promise you it's more of a I want to come alongside you and say hey man don't you know there's a there's a different way you could be doing this that's gonna enrich everything I'm not trying to be talking down or anything like that I promise you I'm not it's that without God in our lives we're spinning our wheels and so at the end of the day what do you want to do do you want to keep doing the same things you've done again and again and again but do you maybe want to try something different and say you know what I do realize my need for God and I I'm I want to move in that direction so with that said we're just going to say a quick prayer we're gonna call it night while they're gonna be coming for you and I'm so grateful for each and every one of these people lord I just ask that you would pour your love into each and every one of these folks lives help them to see just how much you care for them how much you want to bring them close show them the ways that you have protected them show them the ways well that you are God and we are not we love you Jesus we thank you it's in your holy name we pray amen alrighty guys so momma's gonna do a little bit of tap dancing know not how we're gonna end the show you click the button you said if I click the button now it cuts it off then go to black fade to black I don't tap dance I don't dance I don't sing I play the radio well let's put up a burrito recipe shall we that's what we're gonna make on Thursday we didn't talk about that here's the recipe bye guys here's a recipe goodnight you
