hey guys today I'm going to share with you some tricks to save money at the grocery store I know all of you love my budget haul videos so I thought that you would appreciate knowing my secrets to saving money at the grocery store let's start with number one eat in season right now it's summertime and berries nectarines grape tomatoes yummy vegetables and fruits are in season right now and for that reason they are cheaper at the grocery store I also find that they taste better when you're actually eating them when their season appropriate number two coupons I'm not really into clipping out my own coupons but you do have the option to go onto coupons calm red plum calm there's a few other websites where you can actually go on and print out coupons for foods that you are already buying at the grocery store you can also go on to your favorite brands Facebook pages and sometimes they have coupons for you to print out there too 3 make a list duh but don't just make a list meal prep and create a menu if you do this you're going to know how much you need of each item so that when you go to the store you can get enough so that you don't have to do midweek trips that often include impulse buys so create a list create a meal plan and get after it number 4 don't shop hungry if you're like me and you shop hunger you buy everything the store everything looks good so before you go to the store eat a meal have a nice lunch have a nice breakfast and then go shopping before dinner there's always a million people there especially on Monday and Tuesday's and you end up buying way more than you need so eat a meal before you go don't shop hungry number five go generic some of my favorite foods to buy like Oh cereals frozen vegetables by buying the generic version you're really not sacrificing any taste or quality you're just going to save money so don't be afraid to buy generic number six is something I do I shop around I know what stores have the best prices so when I need to do some staple shopping I'll go to Aldi because I know that they are the cheapest there four other things I like to go to Trader Joe's for some of my sauces in different condiments and frozen vegetables and then there's hopefully taupe it's actually has some great deals on things but also same with Target Sean's stop and shop we all have different grocery stores and I liked shop around to get the best deals possible which brings me to number seven use your iPhone when you go shopping I love this new app called grocery pal you enter in your zip code and then it lets you know what the sales are at the stores near you so if you know you love to eat Greek yogurt you can go and see what store has Greek yogurt on sale that week it also will let you know if there are $1 great tomatoes when Aldi has this week near me $1 for grape tomatoes I wouldn't have known that if I hadn't downloaded the grocery pal app but you guys can download it it's free and you guys can save some money by checking in to see where some of your favorite products are being sold at a discount number eight buy in bulk especially when things are on sale now if you're worried about them going bad preserve them using either canning freezing or even drying if you have a dehydrator I love buying things in bulk especially meat when they're on sale because you can get them from cheaper prices and then I just put them in the freezer so each week when I figure out what I'm having I can take them out so that they saw number 9 buy your meats with the bone in or if you're buying seafood with the shell or bones still in if you buy chicken bone in it is way cheaper and it actually does taste better you have to roast it a little bit longer but just remember to take the skin off to remove some that excess fat you don't need if I were to buy shrimp at the grocery store without the shell it would cost me more money so take a few extra minutes yourself to buy it with the shell on and just do it yourself to save some money number 10 go vegetarian for some of the meals that you eat during the week beans are extremely affordable and so by factoring in a few vegetarian meals each week you are going to end up saving yourself some money number 11 avoid buying prepackaged foods or pre sliced produce grocery stores are charging you major dollars to do some of the dirty work that really doesn't take that much time so avoid buying the prepared and pre place number 12 pick a credit card that actually rewards you for shopping at the grocery store I have one that gives me points depending on how much I shop at the grocery store that month I then get to use those points to redeem for travel credits on my credit card statement so if I fly to California for work I can then use some of my grocery points to reduce that cost between like 100 and 200 dollars every credit card has a different rate as a different point system so shop around and pick the best one for you and the last one is to take bigger trips when you go to the grocery store when you go up to the register you might have a little sticker shock like oh my gosh I can't believe how much money I spent but I kind of mentioned this earlier by reducing the amount of times you go to a grocery store each week you're going to reduce the amount of impulse buys that you make at the store each time I go I'm guilty of this I at least five two or three things that I really didn't need but either I see them on sale or they look good or I'm in the mood and then I just end up spending more money than I needed to so by doing bigger grocery shopping trips each time you're going to reduce the amount of visits that you make and then reduce the amount of impulse buys and overall money that you have hopefully you enjoyed my tricks to save yourself some money at the grocery store if you're curious what a thirty dollar grocery haul looks like for meals for the entire week stay tuned to click on my thirty dollar grocery haul for the entire week see you guys soon you

hey trooper stars Dave Schmidt here and today we're going to talk about money-saving tips around the house all right so you want to be frugal if you want to save some money quite frankly saving money is often a lot easier than making more money and it's kind of kind of the same thing so I've put together a list of a bunch of different ideas and tips about how to save money around the house and I think you're gonna find some useful stuff here all right the first one and probably one of the better ones is to get a programmable thermostat if you have a programmable thermostat you can have it you know cold and a house when no one's around and then warmer winter ones here you could have it cold at night when you're under blankets it lets you kind of intelligently set a temperature of your home and therefore save you money use LED bulbs these bulbs while they cost a little more upfront lasts forever pretty much and use a lot less electricity so it's a no-brainer especially as electricity costs are rising number three use natural light especially during the day obviously keep your windows open and avoid using electricity to run lights now make sure to use crappy toilet paper and what I mean by that is the ply of toilet paper that you're most comfortable using I think we have to fly because I guess I'm too posh to have one fly but if your backside can handle the one ply you will save a lot of money over the years all right keep your vegetables and carcasses monas a vegetable green vegetable stumps and remains from cutting up stuff in a freezer bag in the freezer and then when you have enough you can make for example chicken stock or beef stock it's kind of like a frozen bag of trash but it saves you money on stock and it tastes a lot better than this door-mart stock all right here's the trash bag very good stuff in there use cold water for laundry not having to heat the water will invariably save you money for obvious reasons and I haven't found that it's really changed how pleating stuff gets and there's also deterred yeah laundry detergents that are specially formulated to work best in cold water air dry your clothes try to avoid using your dryer as much as possible and then simply use you know the air that's starting your house to dry your clothes by hanging them up keep it cold in the winter and warm in the summer avoid using air conditioner as much as you can and same with your furnace in the winter one thing we've done is try to kind of reduce how warm it is and here in the winter every year and we're down to I think it's 65 or 66 which some people think is really cold but I'm sure we could take it colder keep an active shopping list and what I mean by this is have a grocery list or just shopping less in a row on the fridge for example where you can continually update it so that when you go to the grocery store you know what you need and it'll help you buy stuff that you're not sure if you need or not that made you forget where they need peppers well if it's on your list you know you need it use cash not plastic especially if you're going and running up downtown to get some groceries or something take some pics and actually your old friend tears and use that instead that way you won't have the habit of get in there and deciding to need a candy bar or make chips cashews little little guy here provides and you'll be much happier pay your auto insurance annually you won't have to pay the financing charges every month if you just do one lump sum payment and it'll save you a lot of money if you can plan that way pay yourself first and I say this all the time automate your savings so that money comes out of your paycheck and into a separate savings account before you even see it that way you won't talk yourself into spending it use your dental insurance and what I mean by that is goal for your checkups just make sure that if you have that insurance through your workplace or otherwise that you actually use it instead of just throwing that money down the toilet it'll also save you having to get more expensive dental work they may not be covered if they can catch stuff in advance speaking of which visit the doc your doctor regularly that way once again you can get stuff figured out before it gets out of hand cancel that TV subscription we are paying something like eighty or ninety dollars a month for a television and it's next having that money instead of spending it on TV make meals based on stuff that you have in the pantry or in the fridge that way you'll waste less and buy more a good thing to do is maybe have a look in the fridge the night or two before and think oh I think tomorrow we should have this or the next day we should have something else and try and use up those groceries that you have and that are going to spoil if you don't use them cooking bulk especially if you can prepare munches for example on the Sunday afternoon and that way you will be less inclined to buy lunch or eat out throughout the week make snacks don't buy them kind of like what I just said if you can make some stuff in advance it'll see it'll save you from having to to buy them more with the things you rarely need I always feel like kind of a scammer here but we don't have a truck and the once every two or three years when we need when we borrow it it's a lot cheaper than buying a truck this is one that we do that I think a lot of people don't and they probably could my wife is very gifted at cutting hair and so she cuts my hair she cuts my son's hair our daughter's hair she doesn't cut her own but anyways the three of us that certainly seems a lot of money grow your own veggies and fruit it's winter time right now so we can't really be growing too much and ice to get into hydroponics or something like that but you can certainly start seeds or grow some herbs we just started this guy here and I guess we'll see how it's going pretty good so far look at these little guys growing so good kind of there they're doing okay all right these last two are very important make a budget and stick to it even if some unforeseen things come up the the mere exercise of making a budget will help you be just more accountable to yourself and it's a good exercise to see where you're at alright the last one is not so much a tip but just I guess is a tip anyways it's very important and it is to keep a mindset of frugality so if you're always sort of kind of aware of what you're spending you'll be more likely to not spend too much on things that doesn't mean it to be sort of a miser all the time or a cheapskate but if you're aware of what you're spending and you're always sort of thinking please to save money you'll come up with lots of ways and you'll you'll have more money in the bank okay guys well that's my bunch of tips I came up with four ways to save money if you have any ways to save money put them down in the comments below and we can have a little conversation and come up with new things also I would love if you could thumb this video and subscribe if you're interested in seeing more of this kind of stuff and definitely ring that bell to get get updates as soon as we post and do stuff like that all right we'll talk to you next time

hi everyone and welcome back on my channel my name is Juana thank you so much for subscribing to my channel and if you are just visiting then welcome on the channel I have new lights and I decided that I wanted to try them so if you like my new setup let me a comment below I would really appreciate and I would like to know if there's any need for me to change anything with a backdrop or with the lights on today's video I would like to share with you the way I save almost eight thousand dollars per year I think I will call this video my money saving tips hacks something like that I know from experience that it's so easy to spend money I decided a while ago to learn from my mistakes in the past and the way I was spending money I realized what my mistakes were I made a video how you can break that money habit I will link it here if you haven't seen it I suggest you should go and take a look at it and now I was like ok we are talking about a different lifestyle I thought that I was ready to embrace it now three years later I don't miss all my old lifestyle and I can say that I'm very happy with the money that I get to save every year I don't miss anything I will share with you a list of things that I have already applied in my life they had worked for me they may not resonate with you but you can choose from this list the things that you think will work best for you and you can apply them in your life now let's talk about the first thing that I've done it was to give up on TV cables my sounds scary for some of you in the beginning and I thought that it was a huge step for us for my husband and I at the time I thought that oh my god will I be able to live without TV cable I don't miss it we don't have a Netflix Roku Hulu you name it we don't have it what in the world we are doing as a family of tree to entertain first of all instead of spending so much time watching TV I chose to spend that time with my son we are having a lot of family activities in the evenings but sometimes enjoy watching movie on TV I have I bought an antenna I stick it in the window it's a very thin you can put it on the window and we get to see around 25 free channels with it the antenna I paid $60 for it we have the news channel you know the basic ones the TV cable together with Netflix Roku we were paying around $70 per month this saves us around eight hundred and forty dollars per year the second thing on my list today no more Starbucks visits every morning for the tea for coffee nothing whenever I stop at the gas station for fuel I don't go inside because I know that I will be tempted to buy something I know that during the day I will be thirsty especially that in New York doing this summer and what I do is I always take with me in my car bottle of water and I refill it during the day from everywhere there are big supermarkets who have fountains the water is free we have plenty of parks here with free water and if we're gonna talk about coffee my husband and I would both with coffee lovers big coffee lovers I can say we used to go to Starbucks every morning a couple of years ago right now we invested in a very good coffee machine we didn't pay more than $50 for it and it works great and we have as many coffee as we want but in the mornings after we had some coffee at home if I still want more coffee then I have a cop to go I will fill it with the coffee and my half a half just for coffee every morning I used to pay two dollars and 75 cents Monday to Friday this will add up at roughly $14 per week delicious add some bottle of waters in this five days I will round it up $20 per week just for coffee and water in a month this brings us to $80 just coffee and water by not buying this anymore I believe that I am saving around nine hundred and sixty dollars per year it's a lot another for saving money is by doing the manicure and pedicure at home instead of going to a salon I used to go to a salon like a long time ago and I can say it felt good especially the foot massage a couple of times they'd enjoy it in New York to have your manicure and pedicure done it cost $32 and this doesn't even include the tip spending every three weeks this 37 or $40 for my manicure and pedicure I decided to do this job at home because you know I'm not gonna say it's better than what the salon is doing but I think it's a pretty decent job and I can take care of it at home by doing this saving 444 dollars per year now talking about me saving some money doing my many good in particular at home let's talk how I save even more money by cutting my own hair and dyeing it I really need to refresh the color of my hair but let's talk about how I save money by cutting my hair at home every three months I decided to cut my the tip of my hair and also the bangs to dye my hair at home I used to go to salon to do this before I was paying anywhere between 60 and 115 dollars and I have to say that I think just once or maybe twice I was happy about how the job was done I said if I will mess up at least I'm not gonna pay a lot of money for somebody else to do that I was paying around let's say $80 every three months and now I estimate that by cutting my own hair at home I am saving around three hundred and twenty dollars per year I have to say that I've started to cut my husband's hair which means that I am starting to be really good at doing that another tip for saving more money per year is by cutting the bank account maintenance fees years ago when my husband and I had opened our chicken account every single bank had maintenance fee this was like a very common thing now there are some banks who are offering 0% maintenance fee if you are keeping a certain amount of money in your account and my husband and I opened checking accounts a bank that has zero zero maintenance fee if you are keeping as low as $100 each month so the amount is not that big I feel like we can have $100 and not go below that amount so the bank won't charge us any maintenance fee by not paying $15 maintenance fee per month we are saving one hundred and eighty dollars per year I am not buying new books anymore but I do love to read and honestly like buying books for me used to be better than buying clothes but right now I'm not doing either of them anymore I am saving a lot of money by not doing this I am still reading but I use my library pass more than I used to you can find a lot of books at the library also you can rent movies wherever you want to do you have them there but I will estimate I was spending around thirty five dollars each month just to buy books by not buying them anymore I am saving four hundred and twenty dollars per year I don't buy magazines anymore I used to have five magazine subscriptions I was paying around $50 per month now whenever I go to the library I am enjoying reading a magazines as well another thing that I do is when I go to a big store to shop for groceries I always just like assure that has the longest line because this will just give me time to go through a magazine I just look because you always have magazines right in front of the cashier if there's a title that catches my eye I'm like okay there's plenty of time for me to do a reading this magazine but I'm never gonna buy it because I feel like right now is just a waste of money by not paying the fifty dollars for my magazine subscriptions anymore I am saving 600 dollars per year impulsive shopping to avoid impulsive shopping I have a waiting room I wait 48 hours before I want to buy this way I avoid impulsive shopping because I used to shop for clothes that I actually never needed them but I wanted them a lot of handbags shoes and obviously hats I have a thing for hats although I don't remember if I've ever were a hat in my life but I do have a lot of hats right now I have the 48 hour waiting rule it works great for me because after this couple of hours I totally forget what I wanted to buy and sometimes I remember that I wanted to buy something I remember it was a t-shirt what color was it if I don't remember this specific details this means that I don't need that item this means that I just wanted it because it was cute or because I thought that I I need it this waiting rule it's a golden rule actually it saves me I asked me that I used to pay for clothes shoes handbags and hats let's not forget had around roughly $80 per month by not buying any of this anymore and avoiding this impulsive shopping I am saving nice hundred and sixty dollars for a year my Mathis reusable cleaning products I switched in my habits to using reusable cleaning products because it saved me some money at the end of the year instead of using a lot of paper towels or Clorox wipes I have decided to use like usual cloth to clean instead of buying a cleaning product I buy I use baking soda vinegar lemon it works wonderful trust me for a house with a toddler in it we're very satisfied with the homemade cleaning products and estimate that I am saving around fifteen dollars per month and around a hundred and eighty dollars per year I don't go out for drink as often as I used to I live in New York City and this is kind of like a big and expensive city and whenever you go out you end up paying between twelve and fifteen dollars for a cocktail or a glass of wine even if you don't go out very often it still add up at the end of the month wait what I was paying for one glass at a restaurant right now I can buy one bottle of wine and into a glass of wine at home let's not forget that I'm talking just for one person but if you are a couple you should double everything like the expenses that the money that you used to pay for and the money that you are saving just by drinking reasonably at home I assume made that I was paying around $60 per month just for having drinks out now I'm saving 120 dollars per year I wanted to save the best or the last tip for you because this is what saves me the most amount of money by not buying takeout anymore especially lunch I'm talking about lunch time here I used to pay $10 for my lunch Monday to Friday so this was $50 per week by not paying $50 per week 20 hundred per month I save two thousand and four hundred dollars for a year this amount of money it's crazy because it adds up without me even realizing until I put it on on paper now what I do now is I pack lunch from home you can have lunch you can have little snack with it it's going to be a lot cheaper than ten dollars trust me if you like my tips for saving money if you are already doing this and if you are doing even more Li's leave me a comment below share your experience with me and my subscribers I would really like to hear from your experiences from your life I'm pretty sure everybody is very A friend recently passed his driving test and asked me a few tips to get his insurance down for his first car so this inspired a video offering a few insights into saving money on insurance.

Take these tips on board in order to save some dollar on car insurance no matter if your 17 or 47,

sup guys are welcome to another video I am offering a couple of tips that are gonna help you get your insurance down when you are new to driving so number one location location is extremely important when getting cheaper insurance now I will give you an example I had my car parked in a private residential building electric security gating password gated the law it was more expensive than parking in a Crescent which is off the road in a nicer quieter area so the quieter areas the less likely to have thefts and burglaries and accidents are going to be obviously very beneficial to you as the insurer driving any car that you may choose to be insuring so like I said location super important so one massive tip to you if you do live in the countryside then that is fantastic obviously there are less cars around and you're more inclined to get cheaper shirts number two type of car obviously the type of car you drive is going to make a big difference to your insurance you drive a crazy v8 when you're 18 you're gonna be paying tens and tens of thousands of pounds you drive a 1 liter car it's going to be costing a lot less now I know that comes across very simple super self-explanatory but don't be that guy that tries to insure a car at the beginning that's way too expensive as Kevin Hart said live within your means it is very very wise so when you are starting off with insurance and driving as a whole you want to be driving cars though not only you can afford but you can also handle now eliminate your ego from this situation you want to be driving a car that you can learn in as my parents always said you want a car that you can batter a car that if you did scratch it's not going to be detrimental to your bank account or your parents bank account now that isn't very important look out if your parents as they are the one that you're looking out for you so when trying to find a car that you can ensure stick for things like 1 liters 1.2 1.4 I was very blessed grandparents gave me a hand-me-down Volkswagen Lupo which I will include a photo here that car did me really really well and allowed me to build up my confidence they actually said that it was really fast and I know what they were talking about but at the time I thought it was great and I was convinced and I get loads of girlfriends did it work absolutely not anyway like I said so cheap engines cheap insurance that is obviously a fantastic tip modifications being number three if you can avoid the modifications I know it is part and parcel of growing up having your first car learning to drive it seems cool when you're young to have a raspy exhaust fancy alloys and stickers and decals and all that kind of stuff I've been there and as a 27 year old now 10 years later I look at those people with complete dismay because frankly I look at them like I was there I've been there I've done that I've got the t-shirt and it's slightly embarrassing I'm not saying don't do that and I don't really feel like in the car scene we're in a position to judge you guys but wanting to do that as it is part of growing up but if you want cheap insurance and you want to be saving and having more money in your pocket for the nicer car a couple years down the line trying to avoid that don't have anything extra onto your car keep it standard keep it simple and you will be thriving lots more money number four a good tip for cheaper insurance have your parents on your insurance policy now I'm not 100% sure if that's still the process but I had my mum and my dad who had a really good driving record you know talking 25 years plus no claims and they bought my insurance policy down from I think at the time 2800 pounds down to 1500 pound that made a huge difference and also allowed them to drive it as well so if I was tired or stressed out or maybe they needed to bring the car to me they were then in a position that they could bring the car to me and I could drive it around extra learning extra practice and so on now another tip for insurance that's going to make a big difference is protect your no claims bonus at the beginning I didn't protect it and after a 8 month period in insuring my Volkswagen Lupo I then went and got a 1.2 Renault Twingo from my dad as a gift I will talk about that in another video I'll actually one that and a bit of a bet that we had but I had ensured that car and after eight months decided to move on to another car didn't protect my no claims bonus four months into my new car thinking I had a year's no claims I didn't I didn't protect it I lost out on it and I'm now seven years no claims rather than having been eight years no claims which is a nightmare to try and include Kyle in this video obviously he's just passed his test do you have any tips that you feel that you might have learnt or picked up on recently that people watching this video could maybe use or utilize with their insurance policies what you say definitely first of all don't do loads of quotes like if you'd the more quotes you do the higher the price goes they could go and compare the market yeah no I mean I'd agree with that I've I'm not meaning to interrupt but I mean I've used websites before made loads of quotes adjusted the car you know without exhaust with exhaust with allies without alloys and when speaking to them they're like oh so did you have always alloys or don't you have alloys and then your integrity is then lowered they're not going to think you're telling the truth and they're going to be less inclined to click the right buttons in order to get you the right insurance policy and so on so anything to say in continuation to that particular one sometimes if you put it too much in advance also like if you try and do in the future sometime to cost more obviously the size of the car like it's best to go for a car that's not many people drive yeah yeah no that was super cheap until 11:00 so jargon I agree so when it comes to cars I actually mentioned in a previous recording trying to record this one earlier if a car is very popular ie let's use a course or in a fiesta they are used more often hence they are likely to be crashed more often and the premiums are going to be up so if you were driving a car that is less likely to be insured by someone while still being economical then obviously you're going to be saving money in your insurance another thing that may or may not still be in place is a red car a red car supposedly is more likely to be raced based on color so in terms of ensuring a red car you're going to be in a position that the red car will be higher on insurance premiums so bear that in mind if you do have a red car spray it no I'm kidding I'm kidding but all the same consider that when you are looking at buying a car if you have an option try and avoid the red car based on that obviously do some insurance checks beforehand and do some quotes on those colors and see if it does make a difference another one that I want to add which i think is absolutely amazing if you are member of a car group I am member of a page called the Nissan 350z tarmac sports sponsorship page so actually being a part of that page when I ring up insurance time with scar insurance or agent flux or whatever you can mention you're a member of this this car group and they will give you a discount on your insurance policy so that has helped me a huge amount I think I saved three hundred and fifty pounds just being part of a member but just just being a member of this page rather so all that's going to take is a you know a couple clicks on Facebook and then you can then say you remember so that was also anything else that you'd like to suggest with seven and a half minutes in I was planning a five-minute video any tips that you'd have any other ones don't have a dope buy a car that's got a gap in insurance my insurance went up by two hundred pounds because it had an insurance gap on it so so if you're gonna buy a car either sorna if you're not going sure it or insurer cuz screwed me over okay now something that is I'm sure either gonna be a how do i how to describe it a comment that people would agree or agree with or people that weren't agree with is declaring or modifications if you are in a position irrelevant to whether you're seventeen or 47 declare your mods I got a car before the 350 said that I did loads of mods and didn't declare them and then a friend of mine passed away and as a result of that they did some engine checks and whatnot and was in a position that had he not passed away he would have been screwed by his insurance company and it's such a shame to think that that kind of thing goes on there are people that would map a car you know let's say you have 200 brake car and you're running 450 horsepower with a hybrid turbo and you've not declared your insurance you then get in a crash they're immediately gonna check and don't think that they're not gonna do checks as vividly as you imagine I mean they can even take your ECU and check for engine maps so be careful declare all your maps is worth paying the extra money because you do not want to get screwed later down the line if you do get yourself in an accident so bad all of this in mind take all of these tips with your insurance and try and get the best deal you can I think shopping around is obviously something that's very beneficial shop within your financial means do not get something because you believe it's gonna get you more girlfriends or more friends just be humble learn to drive in something that's completely safe just start doing me no he's fine I mean he's a little bit older he's obviously gonna bought myself a you know a fast Honda but that's cool but like I said just stay within your lane as Kevin Hart said don't try and impress people with things that you necessarily can't afford yourself just be humble be down-to-earth get good at driving build up that experience and then the future dividends will pay you will then be able to insure a car that is fantastic we will talk about other tips like avoiding finance that's going to be the next video is talking about financing and high purchasing car anyway stay tuned thank you for watching today's video subscribe on this little button right here smash the like button that's down there drop a comment in the comment section below and
