You're probably wondering how I got myself in this situation. Let's start from the beginning. Do you want to save money? Here's 4chan /biz/'s top "how to save money" tips. The number 1 tip I have to give you is: Make your money disappear. Take all the money from your bank account and put it in your stock brokerage. You can't spend money if you don't have money. Choose a really long and confusing password like this. Forget the answers to your security questions. Lock yourself out of the account and you can't possibly spend money. Alright, here's my #2 tip. You're five biggest expenses in life are gonna be the 5 C's. Cassa. College. Car. Kids. And food. Food is free. You don't need to spend a single cent on food, and I'm gonna show you how. Before you eat food, drink a whole bunch of water and you'll be less hungry. You never need to pay for water. Just take some water from a free water fountain. Fill up your jug, you're good. For eating, you can go to your local church and get free food. Just tell them that you make less than $12,000 a year and they will give you free food. Church will probably not give enough food to survive. So, you can go to fast food places and get free condiments to supplement your nutrition. Look, I'm at Starbucks right now and we got free mocha, free chocolate, free cinnamon, free vanilla, and we got free sugar right here. That's important calories right there. If you start feeling light-headed, have an ice cube. Or a ketchup packet. If you want to splurge, and go out to a restaurant or fast food place, you still don't have to pay for the meal. Here's what you do: you go on tinder, or you go on Plenty of Fish, or on /soc/. And you know, you make a date with some desperate girl. You go, you eat your food, you eat like a king, and then you make her pay for the date. If she gives you crap for not paying for the date just be like "oh my god, I'm sorry I didn't bring my card, can you pay for this one and I'll pay for the next one?" And that's how you get free food from any restaurant you want. Kids are one of the top 5 expenses of your life, and you can cut them out completely by not having kids at all. But, if you simply must, unavoidably have to have kids, here's what you do. Make them go door to door selling products like cheap popcorn that you buy from the store, or subscriptions to magazines, or anything. And with this method you can even profit from your kids, it can even be profitable to have kids. You can even have the pyramid scheme of families. Have your kids have kids, and have their kids have kids, and have all of them go door to door and get a percentage of the revenue from all of them. And just be at the top of the pyramid of your own family infinite money chain. These things come in handy all the time. If you're a business owner, I'm gonna show you how to save 25% on your labor costs. People say that women only make 75 cents to every dollar that a man makes. If that's true, you'd have to be absolutely insane to hire a man. Go with the cheap labor, hire a woman. Anniversary? Here's how to get free flowers when you're feeling romantic. Look, this guy doesn't look that important. Here's how to go on expensive vacations for a fraction of the cost. So first thing you're gonna do is take some 3D glasses and push out the lenses on them. Next you're gonna print off an image of the vacation of your choice. You can use color or black & white. I'm using black & white to save money. And you just tape these on the inside of the glasses just like this. And it's as simple as that. Now you can bring these glasses wherever you go and you can have a vacation wherever. Whether you're watching a stupid movie with your stupid friends, or waiting in line at the social security office. You can even post about your vacation on Instagram like this: take your glasses, flip them the other way, hold them up to the camera. I posted this picture on Facebook and I already got 7 likes! To cut down on your electricity bill, turn off your doorbell before you leave the house. Don't waste thousands of dollars carpeting your house. Take two squares of carpet. And you tape them to your feet like this. Look at that, and you're all ready to go. This is what being smart looks like. Save electricity by driving without your headlights on.

I am sure that you have heard of multiple other frugal living tips how to save money and everything like that but we're going to be talking about a little bit more specific things that I love probably a little bit more than I should to actually save money and if you want things a little bit quicker I'll leave timestamps in the description so you could jump around to what you might seem interested in hey guys how's it going and thanks for coming I'm Nick and this is real life money where we get you debt free so you could start making some real money and start living a real life so frugal living tips there's always ways to save money we're going over a bunch of them in this video so let's get started the first tip that I do a lot like usually every weekend is go to the library I just like this to one you can get free movies you could get free books you can get free audiobooks which I really love I learned a bunch of this financial education stuff over the years investing saving money real estate or really anything you get like a college degree while just driving to work next couple of tips are involving restaurants now obviously I would try to avoid restaurants because they are a bit expensive but every so often going out isn't horrible so if you do go out to restaurant number two would be just ordering water not appetizers and desserts basically so I always get water one just because it's healthy for you right I don't like getting soda and everything like that so it is healthier and it's also cheaper but focusing more on the food going on to the number three is just to make things easy let's say it's like $12 for something that's a little bit pricey for food that you could probably get in a supermarket for you know probably few bucks several bucks whatever well sometimes these entrees are actually larger than well everything is larger than a serving size we all want more but what I sometimes do is actually eat half of the on yeah entree and then I use the other half or like leftovers for the next day so that $12 meal ends up being split into two meals which is six dollars and six dollars when you're looking at six bucks it's actually not to bed of course you have to factor in the tip and everything but still it's saving you half the cost number four I do every single week I think I'm smooth about it but this is surveying the area for gas and I'm talking about gas prices I am NOT talking about going five towns over to get two cents cheaper on a gas what I do I just survey throughout the day so when I go to work I look at all the gas stations that are pests and then I go home like a separate way and then you kind of just look at the cheapest one so if let's say the cheapest one is coming back from work then I just go to that gas station when I go to work the next day I mean you kind of hope that that that cheap price is still there but again you just survey the area see what's cheaper you're not going to save a million dollars this way it makes me happy if I save you know a few cents especially when you don't have to you got to get gas anyway that's what I do next couple is with kind of geared toward entertainment which is the movies number five would be just simply no food while going to the movies now we all love going to the movies to see whatever is out there my personal I loved inception or interstellar and I like movies that make you think because not many people do that anymore anyway you know when I was a kid I always got like popcorn and you get soda and everything like that as I got older I actually don't eat anything at the movies most likely you're going to have lunch before after the movie so there's food for you or you're probably going to like dinner and then a movie or a movie and then dinner like you're gonna have food close to the movie so you don't need that extra food one you save money but it's also healthier for you and that's what I like number six is being a little sneaky if you wish to bring some type of snack to the movies what especially what my brother does he loves those sour gummy worm things so you go to the dollar store which is a dollar you pick up a box or two versus if you get candy at the actual theater is like five dollars so you know you're saving a few bucks there which is very nice and then you simply slip that into your back pocket or something like that no one really cares and then you just go into the movie theater you save money on your candy and you still enjoy your movie now before we're moving into number seven which I've recently adapted and I'm actually saving a bunch of money with it if any of these are like relatable to you or do you have any separate ones that you love doing to save money definitely leave them in the comments section below to help others out save money just like you but anyway number seven we're talking about basically skipping a meal or combining meals let's just say most people they go breakfast lunch and dinner you got to take time and money for each of those meals so obviously I usually do this during the weekend because you have a little bit more time I kind of have a later breakfast and an earlier lunch so you combined one giant meal like a brunch I guess you can call it so one meal it takes less time it's less money and then you just have maybe like a smaller dinner later on in the day so you're not wasting your time and money on two meals you're combining both of them and I think that's great during weekends because it just saves you it's not only the money part but it's also time you want time to relax during the weekend or do anything that you actually like to do so I think this is actually a great tip number eight which I get a lot of joy from for whatever reason and I don't think a lot of people utilize this as much as they should a lot of people have no idea to focus on their bank accounts I focus a lot on my bank account so I put most of my money in a money market account right now I'm getting like 2% rates could be dropping so it might not stay like that but I'm keeping all my money in a money market or most of my money in a money market account to get interest instead of like a savings account that doesn't really give anything or your checking account which gives absolutely nothing so no matter if you're getting you know a few extra bucks in your money market I keep it all in there so as we're talking about money markets we're gonna be moving into number nine is using credit cards a lot of people are gonna hate that you Dave Ramsey fans I completely understand for most people they're horrible things you just spend a ridiculous amount you don't even think about it and you lose a lot of money like that and this cash back option is what hit people even more because hey spend more save more spend yes spend more you save more no that's dumb don't fall into that trap but if you're smart and wise and could actually manage your money a little bit that's why I personally like it is that one I get cash back on credit cards again you're not going to become a millionaire from it but I get a few bucks back of just necessary purchases by the way I'm not just spending more to get more cash back I spend it on gas food that's it and wile I pay that money back every single month by the way never pay money on interest just pay it off every single month I set that up with my money market account so going back to number eight so I try to keep all my money in my money market account I schedule the credit card payment for let's say the 25th so I keep all the money in the 25th and when that comes around there's an automatic transfer from my money market to pay off my credit cards it is probably insignificant I might save a few cents maybe few bucks depending on the amount of the bill but when you keep that money in that account as long as possible you maximize your interest if your frugal this could definitely make you happy a normal person probably won't so if you're liking these so far and you're not a normal person whatsoever just like myself give this video a thumbs up if any of these are helping you so let's move on right into number 10 which is entertainment I think entertainment is very very important because of course we got to enjoy life a little bit but a lot of people spend way too much money on entertainment they go out every weekend they go to concerts all the time and trips all over the world and I'm not saying to not do that but when you really enjoy the small things that's what life could be about so for my entertainment I actually find a lot of entertainment on just YouTube I'm crazy enough I think I find myself entertaining sometimes but just other channels not only no financial channels I'm into video games so I watch that maybe some cooking maybe some people falling down stairs or whatever you find interesting YouTube is a great platform because it's free it's entertaining and you could definitely it's like a part of a community you could leave comments piggybacking off of entertainment number 11 I used to be a huge video game nerd in school still play it not as much thank God it consumed my life but that is a pretty cheap form of entertainment for me personally I enjoy it and you really especially if you're into like older games you could enjoy for hours days weeks even years after spending 10 20 30 dollars and then you're just entertained forever so that's why I enjoy video games and I usually play with my brother so it's good quality time as well number 12 I just started thinking about this it kind of works it really depends on the type person you are but this is I am involved with a gym membership and I do believe that people should be active possibly go to the gym if you want to save a few bucks there by all means but I do like going to the gym every so often to just stay active lift some weights just to you have one body you got to take care of it however to save a few bucks and this is just to like save money on gas essentially to not go to the gym for a leg day or if you just want to like walk around instead of driving there driving back if the gym is far from you you save even more money miles on your car you just walk around your block it's quicker you walk around your block around your neighborhood you could walk with someone you get outside instead of just staying inside all the time and just enjoy it that way number 13 which I recently got into sticking with the gym idea sponsored by Planet Fitness no I'm kidding maybe in the future but I do go to Planet Fitness so if you guys do plan on going to like a cheap gym it's ten dollars a month to take care of yourself for ten dollars a month that's not expensive that's actually very very cheap so I actually have the black card membership and I'll tell you why because I have an office job and I had some back problems and in the past and I used to go to a chiropractor so no I go to the chiropractor he cracks your back you get scared you think you're gonna get paralyzed he breaks your neck and everything and that's not cheap chiropractors I mean the one I went to have forgot the exact price but they could definitely get up there especially when you go there often some people go weekly I used to go monthly but you know you spend a couple hundred bucks will Planet Fitness Black Card membership has massage chairs so for an extra ten dollars a month I kind of have a chiropractic massage on my back for just ten dollars you enjoy it you say down so you save actually a good amount of money might not be like to the maximum benefit of a chiropractor but it's better than nothing so that's what I like to do next number of 14 of course i goddess peaked on my investing side is I personally invest my money versus using some like a financial adviser to save me money well they don't save your money at all really because you're gonna pay them expenses you're going to pay them fees so you're overpaying for usually under performance if you guys are interested in investing of course I have other videos like that but a lot of people have no idea so they pay these people which usually aren't the best so I usually just invest my own money a lot of people just love index funds and you could save a ton of money that way just fun fact for you something that I found disgusting 401ks if your company you know provides this for you you would want to save for retirement and everything the average person for a 401k pays a hundred fifty thousand dollars in fees without even knowing when I found that out I thought that was disgusting because they're just fees for the 401k there are fees for mutual funds when you minimize those fees you know that could be saving you hundreds thousands tens of thousands or even more throughout your life especially with compound interest and everything like that so that's why I just invests in my own investments even just like Vanguard because their fees are very very low that's a huge benefit of being frugal that I love it's not only being frugal it's just a smart way to invest and the next thing that I like saving money is more of just like accounts of high interest savings accounts or any other types of investments so if you don't want to let's say in best for you no more risky things this is more on the safe side so you can get into money market accounts kind of mention this a little bit before but it is separate from a savings account they kind of have benefits of both the checking and a savings I go to a credit union definitely recommend it because they're not for-profit and you can get more interest better rates even forever other things like mortgage car car loans or anything like that so definitely recommend a credit union and they have good money market accounts so I like money market accounts versus like a savings account if you're into t-bills that's investing in let's say like the government you could invest like one two three months I'm not going into much with that just interest rates are really weird right now it doesn't make sense to invest in them right now because like a lot of money market accounts are actually paying the same as a t-bill so right now might not make sense now that's just me personally some of these make complete sense some of them make no sense so you would have to make the decision on that whether you like that or just hate some ideas I do believe that you know saving a few cents doesn't always make sense since since anyway I would actually recommend because we have limited time sometimes I would actually spend more money to save time so that's something that I would definitely leave you off to think about so if you guys have any questions comments concerns please leave them down below I love would love to hear what you have to say so thank you so much for watching guys really appreciate it and I'll see you in the next one

Luxury Tastes But Limited Budget 21 Money Saving Tips [0:00:00] So, apparently drunk shopping is a thing. We're talking $45 billion yearly that people spend while they're intoxicated. Apparently, the average drunk shopper spends almost $500 and guess what the number one category is? Clothing. So, my first tip for shopping smart and finding ways to stretch your money, don't shop while you're under the influence. In today's video, I'm covering the shop and pitfalls you want to avoid, so you can keep as much money as possible. Don't go shopping on your payday weekend. Seriously, weekends in general are bad. Why? When you look at the data, Mondays and Tuesdays people spend the least amount of money at stores, then on Fridays 40% more than average. Saturday's everything goes crazy literally double, 100% more people will spend when they go out shopping on Saturdays. Now, you may attribute that to normal shopping behavior, but here's the thing. During payday weekends, you go even crazier. Add 25% to all those numbers. My advice on payday, have them automatically deposited and then distribute it to different savings accounts and pay yourself first. Yes, put away a certain amount for savings, budget it for different things, then pay your bills and then whatever is left over if there's anything left over, that's what you spend on frivolous things. Now, this one I bet you've never heard and that is stay positive about your old gear. So you got an older phone and all your friends have the newer phones. If you're always bashing your phone saying, ah, man, I wish I had the new one, this thing is so old versus praising the phone. I know this sounds kind of strange, but this phone never dies on me, the battery still works well, it actually never crashes. You're more likely to take care of it and you're more likely to keep it and you're less likely to go out there and spend money on something that you don't need. Next up, instead of buying a real Rolex, buy a fake one. Let's look at the facts. This watch sells for $10,000 this one sells for $100. Is this one a hundred times better than this watch? Now, I admit, this one is a bit of trick point if you’re into watches, you're going to know that the Rolex Submariner has value. And I know this seems like it may contradict an earlier point I made about not to buy fakes, but that was assuming that you really did want a Rolex, so you really didn't want that high-end watch. If you really don't care about whatever brand you get, you just like the look of the watch, then buying a fake is actually perfectly fine. Let's say you're not going to settle for a fake, you want the real thing, then in that case make sure to sleep on the watch. And by that I mean wait to purchase by sleeping on it by waiting a day by maybe waiting a few days all of a sudden you're going to allow yourself to take emotion out of it and say is this a logical decision. Now, I'm laying out some great shopping smart tactics in today's video, but one of the issues is you've got to remember to actually do these things. So, wouldn't it be great if there is an app where you could save things and ask to be notified when they go on sale, when they're back in stock when they have it in your size in the color you want? Well, gents, I'm here to tell you that it exists, it's called Shoptagr. It is your free personal assistant right there on your phone any type of electronic device where you can shop on the web find what you want, save it, and be notified when it's on sale, when they have the color, when they have the size you want. And the best thing is that Shoptagr works with over 300 brands online. We're talking the biggest online retailers like Nordstrom, eBay, Barney's, and Amazon. It syncs across all devices from your tablet to your phone to your computer. Gents, getting started is easy, let me show you. The first thing you want to do is go download the app. All you have to then do is go find an item to tag and then tag it using Shoptagr. Shoptagr takes everything you've tagged keeps it in one location, again, you get notifications when you want them. And you can create your own private shopping list. Maybe you want to build up your work wardrobe, you're building your core wardrobe, you're interchangeable wardrobe, you can have lists for all this. Gents, I'm linking to Shoptagr down in the description of today's video. Go check it out. It's absolutely free. It's an amazing tool. You're going to be able to save money on the clothing you’re buying. Go grab the app. Again, I'm linking to it down in the description. So, my next tip is to buy the best you can afford and take care of it. This is a $300 pair of shoes. Most men, they're going to scoff at spending that much money on shoes, instead they're going to want to go out there and buy a $50 pair of shoes. And I cut a pair of $50 shoes in half and guess what? You see really this is complete crap on the inside. It is going to fall apart within a year. When you cut open a $300 pair of shoes that have been Blaked-stitched Goodyear-welted, all of a sudden you see the construction is made to last. In fact, this sole can be resewed multiple times. If you take care of it this upper could easily last over 20 years and in 15, 20 years, it's going to look better than it looks now. Beware of what the hell. What I'm talking about here is the phenomenon of when you get a crack in the dam. You know you didn't expect to spend any money or you had a budget of $50 and you spent $55 and you realize what the hell I might as well spend $100. There's a big difference between going $5 over your budget and $50 dollars over the budget. But it's a human — this is a phenomenon that happens especially in men, we start to think, okay, I already bust it, I can now do anything I want. We do this with our diet we do this whenever we're spending. Be very careful of this. [0:05:01] And tied to that last point, beware of being high dollar stupid. So, you're looking at a pair of socks. One is $10 another pair is $12. What's the $2 difference? You'll spend five to ten minutes trying to figure this out. Yet, when you're looking at cars the difference between a $42,000 car and then a $45,000 car that has some upgrades has the leather seats, all these other things you don't even think about it, you're like you know what I'm spending the money I'm going to do it. That's $3,000 you're not even thinking about, so we become high-dollar stupid. Be very careful of this. Next up, photograph your receipts. Oh, yeah, smile for the camera. No, I'm not talking about that kind of photographing. The point is you want to keep your receipts and you want to be tracking this. There's plenty of apps out there that can actually help you automate this, but by tracking your expenses, you actually start to identify where you're wasting money or at least where you're spending money so that you can identify how to change that if need be. Thrift stores, next to new, buying at consignment shops, guys, there's nothing wrong with buying used clothing especially when it fits you when it looks good. One of the cool things about going into these type of stores is that all of a sudden you break free of the fashion trends. You'll see things on the rack that maybe were made 10, 20 years ago, 30 years ago and it's all put together and you get to find things that you really like. Oh, and by the way, you're going to save a lot of money. Excuse me, sir. Can I put these shoes on hold? I'd like to come pick them up tomorrow. The beauty of putting something on hold isn't that you just get to cool off and not make an emotional purchase, but also you get to comparison shop. You get to look around which takes me to my next point going from store to store realizing that some store are going to draw you in because they got a great sale on shoes, but guess what? Their jackets maybe their electronics whatever it may — maybe their jewelry their watches, they aren't going to have the best deal on everything. So, you want to shop around, you want to find the best deal and you realize some stores are going to bring you in because they're making a great deal here, but they plan to make it up elsewhere. If you understand this game and if you're willing to spend the time to go around to different stores, you can save big money buying items piecemeal in different areas. And, let's not forget price matching. These shoes right here selling at one store for $149, at this other store for $129. Now, you like to shop at this other store you're going to buy other things there, you might as well ask, you know what? They're selling for $129 over at the other store, can you give me that deal? Talk with the manager oftentimes you're going to find that they'll do it. And, don't forget to have a plan have a list. Yogi Berra said it best, “If you don't know where you're going, you're going to wind up somewhere else?” So, you're going to wander into a sale, you didn't expect to want to purchase that third pair of shoes which you already have a lot of, but you wandered into a great sale. No. Go into a store with a specific purchase a specific item that you want to pick up. So, if you've got a hard to fit body, you like clothing that fits you well, you know about the tailor tax. Here's the way to avoid it. Learn to do minor alterations by yourself. Why? Because if you can do minor alterations like darting in a shirt, adjusting the sleeve length, hemming your own trousers, all of a sudden you're going to realize this isn't rocket science. Because sewing on a button instead of paying five bucks and having to take the time to take the shirt or the jacket over, you're learning to do this yourself, it makes you independent, it gives you a skill set which you're going to use the rest of your life and it's something that is relatively easy. Oh, and by the way, I will link to videos down in the description on how to do some minor tailoring. Want to save money on a jacket? Buy it when it's a hundred degrees outside. What I'm talking about is buying out of season. So, understand that clothing has to move through stores. They have the summer, they have the fall, they have the winter clothing and they're going to want to move out that older clothing. So, if you realize, okay, clothing has been out for about six weeks in the season. Six to eight weeks, we see the sales start to pop up, that's when you want to purchase. Yes, it's the end of the season, but guess what? You're going to hopefully live through another seasons and if you're buying timelessly classic clothing for ten years this is going to be in style, it's going to look great on you. Now, I talked about taking pictures of your receipt, but make sure to look at your receipt for double charges. This happens all the time, human error and you want to make sure that you weren't double charged for anything. So, if you find a piece of clothing that just works for you, you like the fit you like the brand, don't be afraid to buy in multiples. You don't have to buy the exact same color, although that can work, but really when it comes down to trousers, I know for a lot of guys, this is hard to find something that fits that looks great on you. So, when you find something that works, don't be afraid to get two, three, four. Stock up especially if it's on sale. Learn and use the names of your sales associates. I'm not saying become buddy-buddy here, but what I am saying is be friendly with them, treat them respectfully like human beings and guess what? They’re all the sudden going to start to look out for you when you ask them, hey, are there any sales coming up? They're going to give you a truthful answer, yeah, you know what? In three days, this is all going to go on sale. Do you want me to hold this for you? Human beings want to help other human beings. And if you treat people with respect, you'd be surprised what you're going to get back. When you're purchasing things, try to use cash. So, there’s a 2015 study, they showed people that used credit cards in some cases would spend 100% more than if they were spending cash. Why? Because parting with cash is painful. [0:10:06] Be wary of the clothing at the front of the store. So they put the clothing at the front of the store, not that it’s best for you, but the clothing they want to sell. Probably at full price when you go to the back, what do you find in the back? The clothing that maybe didn't sell as well or is out of season, but guess what? It's going to be on sale. And if you shop the same stores again and again, make sure to be on their email list make sure to follow them on social media. So many times they're putting out information about sales and this is where you want to grab it this is where you want to use it. And if you miss the sale, don't be afraid to ask if they can retroactively apply the discount. You missed it by one day, you missed it by a full week, all you could do is just simply ask. What's the worst they're going to say? No, but a lot of times they're going to say, let me see what I can do, because they want to please the customer. And this one's easy to remember, if it doesn't work for your body type if you can't wear it with confidence and if you don't love the way it looks on you, don't buy it. So, what to watch next? How about how to build a minimalist wardrobe? I've got you covered with this video right here. [0:11:05] End of audio

Things we talked in the video:
If I buy something, it should match all the clothes that I have. Be practical and you can combine it with all your wardrobe. And definitely, I have exactly those clothes which I use every week. I don’t buy something that I will wear 1 time.
I have one shoe and 2 sleepers. Everything match all my clothes.
It’s enough to have 1 backpack for the laptop or towel. And 1 small bag for the wallet, phone and some small stuff.
4. Cosmetics and makeup
From small bag will appear a lot of stuff
Just my daily things. No less, no more.
We read or listen to books by phone Apps. You can have tones of them without any problem 🙂
I was buying a lot before. And that was one of the biggest and heaviest parts of my house. Of course on travel, I don’t need that at all. But you can definitely minimize that.
Would be nice to make this shot in a coffee shop. Or with coffee to go Most of you know how often we can buy coffee outside. Coffee to go, a cup of coffee with your boss, or friend, or college… It looks like we spend so small money for it. Just a cup of coffee. But when you count monthly – this number will surprise you. It’s easy to have coffee in your house. Try that 🙂
8. New gadgets
Our laptops and phones, earphone.. I don’t buy a new phone or new earphones, or a new laptop every year. After 1-2 years they still functional and productive.
9. NO impulsive buyings
/just buy those things that you really need. Plan your buys/
Sometimes we became emotional when we see something cute or with a
super price. HOLD yourself 🙂 Ask yourself – Do you really need that?
Oh, this is definitely doesn’t worth any place and money. If you want to make a present for anyone – buy some interesting exotic food or spicy. Or even better just meet with them and have a great dinner.
I can show like no impulsive buying okey together do you find yourself looking around your house and thinking why do I have so much stuff? you can think we have a time, yes I know that feeling Engin maybe not, but I do know the reason actually I do not know, I never had to much stuff I was living in a village before I know minimalism. I guess I was kind of actually minimalist but she introduced me what minimalism is and I become a minimalist so when I was living in Ukraine and just quit my job I started to look on all my things like clothes, different kind of dishes, glasses and so on and I was thinking "why do I need all those stuff?" it took me two-three years to filter everything well and still my parents are keeping some amount of these things but right now, since we started to be like a digital nomad, we have only two suitcase, two backpacks and one cosmetic bag of Lena, which you can maybe put me inside too 😀 you know girls cosmetic bags but anyway we keep everything we need for life in that small bag exactly exactly today I want to focus on things that I don't buy as a minimalist clothes actually if I am buying some clothes it should match all my wardrobe. so I have just that things that I wear every week no clothes which I wear like one or two times shoes. please, don't throw them each of us has just one pair of shoes and one slippers and actually everything also match all our clothes bags. actually it's enough to have one backpack and one small bag, where I can keep my phone, my wallet and some small stuffs Engin doesn't need that exactly. OMG I don't need anything the thing is I'm keeping everything in small bag for both of us cosmetics and makeup things. just my daily things. no less no more these daily things can change person to person and books. we don't really buy books right now. we use applications, which you can listen books which is perfect for us and it's easier. so we don't have to carry all those heavy books dishes I was buying a lot before, it was the biggest and heaviest part of my house of course now, when I'm traveling, I don't need dishes at all. But you definitely can minimize that. Coffee. Most of you know how often you go outside and drink coffee with a friend, whit a colleague, with a boss, with a girlfriend and in the end when you count in a month it makes a lot of money. And we decided to make instead of like going outside and buying we decided to make it in the house which ended up good, but at the same time little bit bad, because we started doing it too much because Lena likes it so much. And there is one thing that we discovered on this journey to make some savings there is something called "Latte rule" something like this. So we started put $5.00 a day in somewhere and in the end of the six months we gather like $1,000 which could be saving in our trip so instead of buying coffee outside you can just put these money and save that and you will see what you have in six months. it's perfect. and think about, in two years or three years. New gadgets. I don't buy every year new laptop, new phone or you earphone. actually it's like two three years still productive you can see, she still actually have iPhone 5 and I have iPhone6. They're working great. Yeah, and we are happy. And souvenirs. You can see, I don't know why people buy those kind of stuffs why do they really need it. if the things gives you a volume – we keep it usually but if it doesn't give, we don't buy it. We decided to buy more things that we can eat or try like spices in different countries, which ended up really good for us yeah it didn't take place, at least you can take it from country for example for your friends or something. they could try it yeah they will not keep anything in the house. exactly. And it's cool No impulsive buying. Sometimes we are coming to market and see SALE. yeah? all girls know about this. and you can see that nice price and think Maybe I need that. But it's better to do all buying just that you planed. Just that you need. And it will save a lot of money and space. I know that sometimes it's hard to let past go and start something new but by little steps one by one you suddenly can find yourself more happy The one thing that on this journey that I understand and most probably Lena understand it too. Whenever we see people especially the people will always smile – is the people that who has less. They are always happy and they are living their life with the less things. So it was so emotional and good for us and it taught us on this and it taught us on this journey. And we wanted to share this Minimalist philosophy of living but those people who has no idea about Minimalism already living that way and they're so happy, which actually I didn't know too like in the beginning of the video I said to you, guys Yeah, and I can to add that one of my favorite proverbs it's like "less is more" So it means like… it doesn't mean that you don't need to buy anything, you need to keep your self tight it means that you need just that things that you really need yeah. so you can pay good money for good quality things but that you really need for example we have some cameras, laptops… they're really expensive, but it's our dream to work with these things. exactly. You can spend money, but spend them exactly that way that you want. In a smart way. yeah, I hope you enjoyed the video, guys We wanted to share what our view on this. If you stopped to buy also something then comment down below, let us know, what exactly you stopped to buy and why? okay enough trying to be cool let's go

hey guys welcome back to my channel I hope you're having a great day so far so today's video is going to be a little different I filmed a video like this years ago but I thought I would go ahead and film an updated version because it's been a while so today's video is going to be all about how to save some money when you're shopping online I don't know that you guys say I do most of my shopping online is just really convenient it's a lot easier but I also feel like you can save a lot more money when you actually do shopping online rather than in stores if you just implement a few different tips and tricks so you guys might have heard of some of these but even if I can introduce like one or two new ways to save money to you guys that will make me so happy because there's nothing like saving money when you're shopping online that way you can spend the money on something else or you can just save it and it's just really satisfying so I cannot wait to share my tips and tricks with you guys make sure you leave me a comment below letting me know if you have any of your tips and tricks because I would love to hear from you guys I'm always looking for new ways to save money so let's jump into it so the first tool that I always use when I'm shopping online is called shop tagger I've been using shop tagger for about a year at this point I think I started using them last summer and they have helped to save me so much money it's completely free to download on your phone or install the browser button on your computer just do whatever like if you shop online on your phone download the app or if you're on your computer a lot I would recommend installing the browser button but it's so funny because I actually saved two pairs of booties to shop tagger back in like the fall when they were coming out with all of their new fall clothing everywhere but they were from Charlotte Russe but I knew they were going to go on sale because Charlotte Russe always has sales so shop Tiger actually alerted me I think it was like February or March they alerted me a few times because they did go on sale but it wasn't really like a serious discount so I just kind of passed over them and then I got an email in like February or March they were on sale for $7 each and they're normally like over $30 so I got two pairs of booties for $7 each and they're amazing and now I have them for like the upcoming fall season so shop stager is an essential tool for me because they notify you when the product that you're interested in it goes on sale and I don't have time and you guys don't have time to like sit there and constantly check back to see if the product is on sale so they actually take the work out of it for you and they send you a notification once it is available for a discounted price so I thought it might actually be helpful for me show you guys how it works okay so after you sign up for an account the first thing that you are going to want to do is to get the button it installs very fast it's so easy all you do is click that button add the extension and you'll be good to go and then do your shopping like normal so today I'm looking for some kimonos because I love kimonos especially as Charlotte Russe and do they always go on sale so I just find the one that I like I click on it and then there's the browser button in the top right hand corner click it and you will be met with this menu so you can choose your size and then you can choose to be notified when it goes on sale for a certain price so I usually just click any price change because that's the easiest and then you can add it to your specific category and then it saves the item so you will get an email or a punch notification on your phone if you opted in for that once the item that you saved goes on sale or if it's out of stock once it goes back in stock you can also save items on your phone which is really convenient the app is so easy to use so I would recommend downloading that as well and then you can organize products into different lists so I have a makeup list and a clothing list that just kind of helps to keep everything straight and then of course you can click on the stores button and they have a ton of participating stores and then of course there is the share list option which is really convenient you can actually share your list on social media which is just kind of fun but I actually like that you can copy the link and share it with somebody so if you want to drop a hint to like your significant other on something that you want this might be a great option or if somebody's asking for like a gift list for you for your birthday or for the holidays this is going to be a great way because it is a foolproof plan essentially because you chose all of these items so like I said I will link shop Tiger in the description box below just be sure to click the link and download it now is a great time because the end of season summer sales will be starting soon as well as like Labor Day is right around the corner so I would recommend saving a bunch of things to your specific categories now that way once the sales roll around you will be notified once everything is available for a discounted price okay so this next tip is kind of basic but bear with me because I have a reason that I'm mentioning it so obviously it's important to sign up for the email newsletter because a lot of info will come in so first of all they'll send you like different deals and discounts and promotions and sale alerts so obviously you kind of want to keep up-to-date with that if it's a store that you're planning on shopping at but another thing is that a lot of times when you sign up for the very first email they'll send you out a promotional code for like ten percent off or fifteen percent off your first purchase it's really great for a big-ticket item so if you're shopping for something that's a little bit more expensive or you're buying a lot of products it's definitely going to be beneficial to have that 10 percent or that 15 percent so I got a new kitchen table back in November and I signed up for the email newsletter and they sent me like a ten or fifteen percent off coupon and then I waited for the table to go on sale and then I used my coupon on top of it so I saved so much money the table was like a couple hundred dollars so with the ten or fifteen percent off and the discount it was significant so I definitely recommend signing up the only thing is that a lot of times that first coupon will expire after a few days so make sure you wait until you know you want to buy something or you want to make that big purchase now if you don't want to flood your inbox with all of those promotional and marketing emails I don't blame you at all make a second email address make it really easy that way when you're giving it to the person in store or you're signing up online it's just nice and quick and easy to type in if that email box will be specifically dedicated to store emails the benefit to that is that you're going to be saving money because you're not going to be distracted by all of those emails in your regular email during the day so will save you time and energy but if your weren't planning on making a purchase then you won't see those marketing emails and they won't tempt you to buy something it's kind of a good way to trick yourself into saving money because the only way you'll see of these like promotions and these sales is if you specifically log into that email inbox so that way you're not actually spending money when you weren't planning on it you know it's not like a random Tuesday and the sale alert came across your inbox so you went on the website and bought a bunch of things you will only go into that when you're specifically looking to buy something my third tip is to wait I would recommend waiting until the weekend every single time I hardly ever buy anything during the week because most of the promotions are going to be happening on the weekend a lot of stores have promotions on the weekend whether it's significant or small there's always kind of something going on on the weekend sometimes it starts on Thursday and will last till Monday but I would always recommend waiting at least until the weekend and if you can wait until a holiday weekend that's even better it doesn't have to be a major how like Thanksgiving or Christmas it can even be a smaller holiday like Presidents Day stores will take advantage of any type of holiday weekend to have a sale because a lot of times their competitors do the same thing so they have to keep up with them so make sure you wait until a weekend at least but if you can wait until a holiday weekend because you will end up saving a lot more money there will be so many more good promotions as you can wait until a major holiday even like Labor Day because that's when a lot of the stores will do their promotions that will be perfect because you will end up saving a ton of money in the long run if you put all the items in your cart and you actually wait to check out and you're just completely x-out the store will save your cart a lot of times and then they'll email you either later that day or the next day and they'll say you know like you forgot something or your carts waiting for you and sometimes they'll include a promo code which is really convenient target does that to me all the time like sometimes I'll just add products to my cart because I know I want them eventually and then they'll email me with like a five dollar off coupon code which is great so definitely just wait if you can have the patience to even just wait a few days sometimes things like that happen of course I feel like this video would not be complete if I didn't mention eBay so some of you guys might know what you base is but if not it is a completely free tool or website that you can use to actually get cash back when you shop online I know it sounds like a scam it sounds too good to be true but it is not it completely works I got all of my family hooked on it I know so many of you guys use it a lot of people here on YouTube talk about it because it actually works so all you do is do your online shopping like normal you download the eBay's browser button or the app on your phone or you can go to ebay calm and start your shopping from there I really would recommend downloading the browser button before I did that I always forgot to start on e based website but if you download the browser button it will actually alert you when the store you're shopping at has cashback available so if you go to Ulta calm a little pop-up will come up and it will say activate cashback all you do is click that button and it will redirect you through Ebates website and you do your shopping like normal and check out like normal so definitely install the browser button try eBay so it's not a scam because you don't have to pay for anything and even if you don't end up liking it then you can just cancel your account but it's completely free the first time that you shop online they'll give you $10 cash if you spend $25 or more so I absolutely recommend it put a link in the description box below if you guys want to check it out but you guys will not regret it at all one thing I forgot to mention is that sometimes products never go on sale no matter what the website never runs a promotion there's never a sailor's never a discount code or you know you're booking through like Expedia and you're booking a hotel the nice part is that eBay s– works on a lot of those websites as well so even though you're not getting a discount through like a promo code you can still get some of that cash back which is really convenient especially if you're spending a lot of money like if you're booking a hotel that's a couple hundred dollars or you know you're buying an appliance make sure you go through Ebates because even 1% or 5% will really add up so when it comes to smaller brands I definitely recommend checking their social media I don't like following like every single brand on social media some people would recommend to do that and if there's a store you really like definitely do that because that's where they will share their information but even if you don't want to follow them online just head over to their Instagram or their twitter or their Facebook and a lot of times they'll say if you like our page will share a promo code with you I was actually buying decals for my well I don't know if you guys remember I used to have like a pink Beauty room with gold hearts on it and I wanted those gold hearts so bad and I went on to their FC shop and they actually said like our Facebook page or like follow them on Instagram and we'll send you a 20% off coupon code so I did it and I got a coupon code which was super convenient so even if you are following like a smaller brand it definitely see if there's a way to get a promo code you can always google them with bigger brands but sometimes the smaller brands are a little bit more difficult to find like a general promo code if it has to do with like a smaller makeup brand a lot of times youtubers have those promo codes in their description box so if I'm shopping for like a new brand and sometimes I'll type the brand and like promo code into the YouTube search bar and it will show up if it's in somebody's description box and my last tip it might sound like an obvious one but google it do your research compare products so if you are buying a product that is not specific to a certain website definitely google it what I'll do is I'll take the full name of the product I was buying these little marble tables for our bedroom I typed it into Google and then I clicked on the Shopping button and what I will do is it will actually pull up a list of the stores that product is available at along with the prices you can click on the one with the lowest price and buy it sometimes there are different factors like if the shipping is really expensive at that store or you know it might take longer to get it at a different store so you kind of have to go through and look but if there is a significant price difference it's always good to know you can get it at a store that offers it for a lower price even if there's not a significant price difference the nice part is that you can go to the different websites and see what they have available maybe they're offering free shipping or maybe they're offering a sale that weekend or maybe they're offering like a promo code if you sign up for their email list so it's kind of a good way to compare and contrast I was searching for a rug of the other day which I think I talked about but I put it into the search bar and one of the websites did have like a 20% off promo code if you signed up for their email so that would have saved me a significant amount of money because the rug was a couple of hundred dollars and like I said I didn't end up purchasing it but that is the website that I'm leaning toward I recommend just doing your research I mean obviously if you're shopping for like a black t-shirt or you're shopping for a specific blush it's not going to really matter that much but if you're shopping for like a bigger ticket item like an appliance or home decor or something like that it's always good to take a few minutes just to compare and contrast and see where you can get it for the best deal okay guys that is the end of my video I hope this video was helpful I hope that you guys at least learned like one or two new tips or tricks that you can kind of implement when you're doing your online shopping because it is always nice if you can save a few dollars but I want to hear from you guys so make sure you let me know in the comments below about what you do to save some money because that would be super helpful otherwise I will see you guys in my next video bye
