this beautiful colorful basket I'm so excited about all these hello and welcome back to my channel my name is Stacy flowers and I am a student of Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University and on a journey to become a 100% debt-free my current debt is over one hundred and eighty three thousand dollars I am on baby step number two to repay 100 percent of my debts I earn an income of anywhere between 1,500 and 2,000 dollars on average a month working part-time and running my company quarter time in this video I'm going to be sharing with you my July 2018 grocery haul so if you are interested in that please keep watching let's take a look at what I have here in the cabinet I've been starting a little bit of work on organizing my pantry I got a gift card from Target and so I bought these although I don't think that they're going to be large enough and I think I'm just going to switch over to a hundred percent mason jars but I have a little bit of black beans I have a little bit of quinoa rice this is the last amount of my oats I have angel hair pasta that I purchased to make homemade ramen noodles I still have my banana rings that I just have not even from my last grocery haul and then I have a couple of broth and so let's talk about the broth really quick because a lot of you guys suggested bouillon cubes and when I first moved in I went I got beef and chicken yes beef and chicken bullion cubes and I put it in my red beans and I put it in my black beans and it was absolutely delicious however what happened was is I was out myself like every time I would eat like a bowl cuz you know I have it for like lunch and dinner so like I eat it a lot but every time I would eat it I would get overwhelmingly tired like even when I would eat it at work oh god why am I so tired why am I so tired enough let me look at my ingredients and when I looked at the bullion cubes there is soy but I can't remember how I don't know if it's a soy oil or soy bean I'm not 100% for sure but I just my body doesn't have a good reaction to soy so I can't use bullion cubes with soy in it and I haven't found young-kyu that doesn't have soy in it so if you guys have a recommendation I'm totally open to not using these to save money but I think people this is just something people will say oh you can get that cheaper at this place and you're right but you have to ask yourself why is it cheaper at other places it's not always just cheaper at other places because one store you know branding and marketing and it's organics sometimes it's cheaper because they're using lower quality products in addition to the thing so like for example like seasonings like sometimes when you're purchasing seasonings you're not just purchasing that seasoning you're purchasing that seasoning but they blend up other things that are tasteless but like provide the bulk so that would be my recommendation it's just I understand that there are a thousand ways to make my grocery shopping even less expensive than what it is at fifty dollars a month but me making some of those decisions winds up being the wrong decision for me because there are products that I don't want to consume and in me purchasing something cheaper I'm unintentionally consuming those products for example the bulan cubes where you can get like ten versions of this box of broch but in you getting those ten versions you're also getting the who humping of soy and if you don't eat soy you know that becomes a problem so I have chicken broth I have beef broth and then here I have some coconut bases and I'm a little bit of popcorn summarising corn mill rice flour a bread crumb with baking soda our seasonings I'm doing pretty good with seasonings have smoked paprika I have a little time ground cumin ground cinnamon pepper lemon pepper adobo this is I still have tons of that tumeric left bay leaves and a piece off from my auntie and then here in the cabinet sort of the same things the olive oil from May grapeseed oil and most of these things really aren't going down because I haven't really been cooking I haven't been cooking at home because it is really hot but also last month is my birthday month and I went out quite a lot so that's what having the cabinet let's take a look in the free refrigerator so in the refrigerator I have some celery but this is going to be turned into vegetable stock because it's just I left it in here too long these carrots may still be good so I may pull those and turn those into some snacks some sweet peppers which I'm super excited about did buy a little bit of kale I don't like the prepackaged kale I'm gonna finish eating it but I don't like the prepackaged kale I have a container of red beans a container of black beans little coconut milk that's leftover in a water pitcher not particularly satisfied with that water pitcher I'm so I likely will switch that out little bit of banana peppers have some red roasted peppers a little bit of almond milk and a little salad dressing and I'm running out of this is a little bit of frozen kale that's from that bag just because I knew I wasn't going to eat through it because I don't really like it very much but I don't want to waste it I don't know if you can freeze kale and maintain its nutrients but we shall see peas and a little bit of corn left so there are quite a few things that I will be getting from the grocery store today and yeah so there are quite a few things that will I'll be getting from the grocery store and I will also be getting some like mason jars to store things because I really want to switch over to not using as much plastic since I'm in my own home so let's go to the grocery store so I had all the plans and all the plans were to go to three different stores and then out of nowhere I don't even know if you guys can hear me but out of nowhere this brain came out of no way what I took my Mecca and I've been in the car now [Applause] these are a little darker one of the things that I am trying to figure out is how to cut all soy ouch I don't know if you guys can see that but the second ingredient second or first ingredient for most of all these male is soybean oil and I don't respond very well to soy so I'm gonna try this is the only one that I've found that doesn't have soy oil listed as an ingredient so I'll let you guys know this brand may actually be better I found another one that doesn't have soy in it from him but this has eggs in it and I prefer to not have eggs they make me a little sluggish but this one here is specifically says no GMO and egg free so I actually think we're going to go with this Mayo I'm kind of stoked about that a little closer and right here I don't know if you guys can see that it says it may contain soy and I'm thinking that that is because of where it's manufactured you know how like sometimes things are manufactured near each other which for me may contain soy is way better than soybean oil being the first ingredient so I'm gonna go ahead and try this and this speed the booty some wholefoods chickpeas red pepper flakes red beans popcorn oats and black bean I'm at the last store and I have my little bag with my cash envelopes out these are my original cash envelopes from Dave Ramsey and I'm at the third store today and I have you can see that in there I have 25 dollars left to get me some vegetables which primarily decorates my bases of oatmeal and beans every single day and quinoa this budget is $50 but I do think that I'm gonna increase my grocery budget to 75 right now I'm just in the habit of shopping at 50 and until I get a little bit more comfortable with my kitchen I don't want to waste so you guys saw when I was looking through my kitchen that and I mean technically it won't go to waste but I have carrots i have celery and a couple of peppers that went bad and I don't like that so I don't want that to happen and for that reason the other 25 if I do use it in this budget I'll just use it later on in the month if it comes up but if it doesn't then you know fifty dollars it is so let's go see beautiful color Pro basket I'm so excited about all these green I'm a pineapple and peaches so you guys can see that on the ground there this is what I got for my fifty dollar grocery haul with the exception of the mason jars because those were part of my household pantry that I got um because she's very hot all those stairs I got those so that I could make my to go salads but also so that could fill out my pantry so I'm kind of super pumped about that it is much much later in the day you can't really tell because it's been raining and whatnot but it's super hot so I am going to first watch them sorry guys I'm going to who first I feel like my my face is falling off me okay I'm gonna first wash my mason jars just a little I can as I'm preparing food I literally have a place to be able to put the food in and then I'm gonna show you guys what I got so this is July's summers grocery calls and I'll start down here I got my thing of almond milk got a very large container of strawberries this and this came from Walmart as well as this celery came from Walmart and it's funny that I have so much celery I'm not really a celery fan but it seasons things well and I'm making a lot of like cold salads like cauliflower salad and pasta salad and stuff like that and it seasons it really well I got a 1 bunch of spinach have a head of romaine lettuce I got two things of golden beets so this has two on it this has three on it got a pineapple I've got three stalks of our three heads of corn on the cob yellow pepper orange pepper red pepper green pepper these red pepper flakes are from Whole Foods I have three yellow onions because I'm still eating onion rings but also seasoning two peaches a head of cauliflower some rotini noodles tricolor for my pasta salad mustard garlic and this just Mayo and again this is gonna be for my pasta salad as well as for my cauliflower salad and then from Whole Foods I got red beans black beans red pepper flakes popcorn oatmeal and a little bit of gum bark the chickpea so now it's time to put all these dishes so what I'm doing in this jar is I'm just taking this celery that has died I'm washing it and I and I'm just chopping it up a little bit and I'm putting it in here because I'm going to and I wish I would have got to it just a little sooner but what I'm gonna do is when I get ready to make my vegetable broth I'm gonna use these veggie scraps in the vegetable broth so I put everything away we'll bring a couple of strawberries my pineapple will sit here a peaches here my corn on the cob here we look in the fridge you have my almond milk down here but this is what the fridge looks like the kale snacks are there this here is spinach it's just strawberry and then that's lettuce back there etc etc and then we go to the freezer oh there was something I forgot to show you guys I had sweet potatoes down here I keep forgetting that I have sweet potatoes down there so just so you know have sweet potatoes then we have what the pantry looks like here for the most part everything up here is the same I just move things up that's the red beans that I got from Whole Foods and this behind here leftover black beans and some new my onions are here this is a little piece of garlic old popcorn etc so this is where we are right yeah amazing super fantastic spectacular people that is my July 2018 these are so sweet grocery haul it was a very difficult one to film but I'm glad I did it I'm glad I've been able to find my mason jars so that is all that I have for you to them thank you so much for watching until next time I watch you all this

good morning so happy Wednesday I'm gonna show you my breakfast and my lunch and I may have a few minutes to turn the camera around to talk to you before I leave I'm running just a little bit late I actually were gonna pick up some coffee because I didn't have time to make my iced coffee this morning I usually make it when I first get up put it in the freezer but I forgot this mornings and I don't have time but I am drink bringing a Powerade zero this is the white cherry this is one of my favorite flavors so good I have my bang cotton candy so that those will be my drinks besides water my coffee for my breakfast I have one of the keto breads with just I have one tablespoon of butter on that I have some raspberries and then I have some eggs that I cooked in a little bit of butter as well with some onion salt so that'll be my breakfast and then for lunch it's just leftovers I have yesterday I didn't show you guys my food yesterday I had the chicken salad the loaded chicken salad that I had in that made a meal prep you guys that is such a good salad so check out that meal prep video and check out that chicken salad but today I'm going to have leftovers from last night's dinner and this was a burger in a bowl so these are those mighty sparc sirloin short rib something burgers I showed him in my grocery haul I will make sure I link that down below as well I'm the really super good burgers I made them in the airfryer and here I just have a bed of spring mix I have some pickles tomatoes onions avocado and this is just a slice of cheese I ran out of my shredded cheese and so I had to use as some of the this is like a craft single cheese which I know is not the best but it was all I had and then in here is just some homemade kind of burger sauce that I made it's mayo sugar free ketchup a little bit of sriracha in some onion salt so quick and easy so that'll be my lunch I don't know if I'm gonna need any snacks today I have some of those dukes sausages in my bag so if I do need something I have those I also have a built bar in my bag I mean I have snacks if I need them but I really haven't been wanting to snack lately I've been trying to drink more water and just haven't been hungry so anyway this will be my day I'll show you my coffee when I get it but I think I'll turn the camera around and talk to you guys for a few minutes good morning so happy yet what day is it Wednesday it is Wednesday oh gosh this month is like halfway over you guys that means I'm like I'm almost out of my three-day weekends I love my three-day weekends so much it would be so nice just to work a schedule that was three-day weekends all the time um you know maybe just working 10-hour shifts I would be okay with that but I would be okay with that um anyhow so yesterday I did not vlog it was it was a crazy day and no I originally had told you guys that I was gonna have to travel to another school district for work but we actually moved that to Thursday so it's gonna happen tomorrow I'm not really looking forward to it because I have a lot to do at my desk and it's gonna take me away the entire day pretty much I think so it's kind of a bummer um but and also food wise I was kind of excited when it was canceled yesterday because I didn't have to try to figure anything out but again I'm gonna have to but it was not a wonderful day it did start out very well for those of you who've been around for a while um you guys know that my husband's has has had some health issues that you know we have oh you know we have some diagnosis but we don't I mean there's other things that are happening that we don't know related to that or whatnot so he had kind of just it was a rough morning and I wasn't going to leave him but he just said he was just gonna sleep and so he slept and then I talked to him I don't know around nine ish or so and he was still a little bit you know groggy and just was you know just not really feeling well and so then when I talked to him it you know so then he was just gonna kind of just relax some more and they want to talk to him at lunchtime he said at that point he was just starting to feel like he wasn't so like dizzy and just you know kind of out of breath and all that and so I told me he should call his doctor and so he called her and they got him right in and so she doesn't think she doesn't I told him I said I want you to bring up because we've just been thinking for all that some may possibly be some heart issues he has super high cholesterol and so it's always kind of Concerned me and he does take medication for it but that's pretty much it that whole you goes for it and so I was kind of concerned me and so he said you need to bring up that we think it could be a heart issue and so he did bring it up and as she was and she agreed that as possible but I don't he doesn't think that she truly believes that but anyway they made an appointment for a couple weeks from now to go in and get some heart tests done so they're gonna do all that so anyway well maybe we'll have some answers at least we'll know you know okay if it cuz that's kind of for us definitely like worst case scenario is that at this point with the symptoms that he has and so we're just you know so we don't know he takes a lot of medications for other health issues so we don't know also if some of his medications could have something to do with it so his other doctor is the one that subscribes his medications and so he has to he already it has an appointment with him cuz he goes and sees him every three months so he really has an appointment him coming up anyway and so they're gonna talk about that but they're all in the same office his psychiatrist in his regular medical doctor they're all in the same clinic so they have his file and all that so I think they're just all gonna kind of talk about it also he went so neurologist I don't remember you guys probably more me I'm a few months back and um actually I think it was a lot longer than that now that I'm thinking about it but he does say that he is showing early signs of Parkinson's but he thinks it's very very very early onset and that it would be like 20 years from now before he thinks that he would have to start coming and seeing him regularly for that disease but from what I've read about Parkinson's I feel like there's not like a lot known about it and there's no way to diagnose it besides just your symptoms and things like that and so I think the doctors keeps thinking that my husband's like too young for it and that's why he's giving him that I don't know who knows I probably just being a worried wife and using Google to self-diagnose Zoho but that isn't his file that he does have early onset of Parkinson's so we don't know if some of those I haven't even looked to see if any of the symptoms he was having were related to those and I didn't think to have him ask his doctor about that because like I said it's in his file but that doesn't mean they're necessarily reading all of that the way that the medical system here works is everything in our county is set up and it could be other places too I don't know maybe this is just normal but this is fairly new to our area it's all set up under one like medical chart and so no matter what doctor you go to as long as they're in this like network which I pretty much think a big huge majority of the doctors in our County cases we're not very big are in this network so then any time he goes to any doctor in this network it updates his medical chart and so all of his doctors can see it so because the neurologist is not in his doctor's office in his clinic but all of the notes from the neurologist is in that file so they can see everything so I may do a little bit of Reese search on that but also I would tell him to mention it to his doctor when he goes in to see if any of these things could be related to that and maybe it's progressing more than what the neurologist thought if she did go back to him so anyway so that's kind of what was going on yesterday I just wasn't really in the mood to vlog and was just a hectic morning so as far as what I had I didn't eat any breakfast I wasn't like feeling hungry and actually I'm sitting here trying to my breakfast and I'm not hungry either I'm just I really don't have an appetite lately and maybe is that how it is when you're doing low-carb I don't know I been just really kind of playing around with a low-carb the last two weeks that's another question I keep getting a lot I think in Friday's video is it the time to answer all the questions probably I can probably answer most of questions on Friday we're halfway through the month because Friday I planned on doing my weigh-in video I have a very very busy day on Friday but I planned on doing weigh-in and then I could probably answer some questions about what my plans are for the future for my plan and all that that I'm sorry I'm just a little distracted things just so many things going on um there was something else I was going to tell you what was I going to tell you Oh yesterday so I didn't have any breakfast but I had that loaded chicken salad which is amazing definitely we'll be making that again it was so good so so good and then last night for dinner I did record I have been recording all my dinners and so that well video would be up on Sunday tonight I think I'm gonna try that new recipe that green chili something green chicken green I don't know green jelly chili chicken I don't know something like that I'm gonna try that but I will be filming that and yeah so I think I'm gonna pick up a coffee at Dutch brothers and then head into work because I'm just not I'm not hungry I think I'll take this with me to work my breakfast and if I just felt like eating it here but I will do that yeah sorry you guys it's just been kind of uneven full week just I mean uneventful as far as my vlogs go but eventful for me stress wise I just I guess I have been feeling the stress yesterday through the roof but I'm very proud of myself because I did not give in and I did not go off of you know out of my macros and my calories and go off my plan or anything I was tempted to and with combined with that it's that time of the month right now and that stress of yesterday I'm really really shocked but I feel like the way I'm eating right now it's easier for me to keep it under control and I did I did have a built bar which wasn't planned for my day but I did have that and I was kind of my treat and but it still stayed within my macros there are only five net carbs so no they have sugar in them and a lot of people are you know when they're really following the strict of a diet they don't do that but I feel like I need to live my life and that's just what I'm going to do so yeah so I don't know what Wayne's gonna look like because again I'm feeling kind of anxious today and still kind of stressed out and I probably will all the way leading up to his doctor's appointment to be honest I asked him how he was feeling today and he said he was feeling a lot better but he still had a little bit of dizziness and he's super tired cuz he could not sleep last night and it was super hot in our house and the animals were restless and I think he probably was a little bit anxious too and so we didn't sleep very well last night and but he said other than that he was feeling okay so he did go to work today but I'm just I don't know because stress affects my weight loss tremendously and I think a lot of you guys can relate to that and I mean not even like I don't mean stress like you stressing the new binge eat I'm talking about just stress oh my goodness is already after 7:00 I gotta go just stress in general makes my hormones go totally out of whack so anyway so there's a little update on things going on I will see you guys Friday for sure for weigh-in matter what the scale says and I will also answer some questions I've been getting and then yeah so I might take you along my day on Friday I don't know if it's I hell because I have extremely busy day so we'll see if that happens but I will talk to you guys a very very hi guys welcome back to my channel into another budgeting video I really hope you're enjoying my budgeting series I am Laura and I am saving to buy a house this year I feel like I'm making with scouts honor that is what we're doing and that is why there's so much budgeting and kind of hacks and like tips and money-saving advice over here on this channel so in today's video I asked on my recent video whether you'd like a video where I can show you ten things that we're gonna save you loads of money in one month and these are things that I've been doing they are tried and tested and they work description but I'll leave a link there for you and let's get into it I hope you enjoy it okay so just read through and there's a thing so there's not ten but you know nobody's perfect right so I will find more tips and more things of what I've been doing so the first number one is to look through your bank statement I found this really powerful and in fact I said in my last video that it was kind of one of the catalysts for me to do this whole know spend year for this whole year after seeing what my bank statement look like it was just transaction after transactions like swipe swipe swipe of so many unnecessary spend expenditures things like coffees out meals with friends clothes like every elder transaction was a clothes retailer it was just getting out of hand and I just didn't need everything so go through your bank statement and look through where you are spending the money one of the things that we actually change and it's helped us save around fifty pounds a month is to look through on our bank all of our insurance and tax and gas electric and it can just break down exactly how yeah like where you're spending it and then you can phone up the suppliers and make sure that you are saving the most money so we actually had it recently with our electricity where we're actually spending over the odds one on that and we got it change and now we're saving 50 pounds month so it's really really important to make sure you're not on an old tariff sadly you're not incentivized and you're not rewarded for brand loyalty any longer so it's definitely worth shopping around so the next tip I've got is to go sim free so if you have a relatively new mobile device you can actually go sim free on your plan if you're out of contract which is around 10 to 15 pounds a month I pay 15 and I get 12 mega downloads which is absolutely tons I never use that much but it's like the next bracket the one lower is not enough and you can save I mean friends of mine that I've got new contracts I make fifty five pounds a month it's absolutely incredibly expensive so if you have got a relatively new device and you have to contract or you want to perhaps buy a phone outright which is what I've done in the past because it just saves so much money you can save up to I guess forty five fifty pounds a month sometime I'm just going to moaning okay my not neck stiff and I think I may have mentioned this one before but it is something that I have been doing it loads is to do your own nails and obviously I hope that hopefully so I just give them a bit of a breather but this can save you 50 pounds a month if you get your nails done twice a month it's so expensive when actually you can buy the kits I use one I'll leave it linked in the description I love it it's so easy it's quicker than actually doing your own nails painted because you don't need to wait for them to dry it's just so so easy and yeah you save so much money doing it that way okay my next tip is to cancel your television subscriptions or scale them back these this day and age we have so many different options for TV it's incredible we we actually spend too much money we're looking at at the moment we're trying to reduce our bill on our TV but you can actually get so much now on Amazon Prime so that can actually save you so much money if you get rid of your television television channels and use something like Amazon Prime for all the on demand channels and Netflix things like that you can actually take off of your bedroom or Sky box and use the prime stick or you know there's others available but that can save you like 50 pounds month okay so my next tip is to not buy copies while you're out we haven't bought any coffees this year and it saved about 2 pounds 50 a day which is like 40 pounds a month it's absolutely insane how much money you can save and there's obviously two of us it's 80 pounds just I'm not having coffee out wherever I go I always take them flask with me now and I just don't buy it while I'm out I save so much money okay so my next tip I've been doing this for a couple of years now and it is to buy a Network Rail card you can buy them for different age categories I get the network I don't know all mine's called actually it's the over 30s one and it's 40 pounds outlay but it saves you 1/3 on all fees so for me to orient London all the time for work I just needed to do three journeys and I'd already broken even so now every other journey I do I save 1/3 and so the train from 30 pounds is now 20 pounds it saves me so much money every time I got there and I definitely definitely recommend getting one this was a really really big tip for me and something that has really helped me and actually change my phone processes is to sit on purchase decisions for a month that might seem like quite a long time but let me tell you when you go and buy something that you have wanted for a month and that you definitely know you do want it's not a you know a quick purchasing and like gonna regret or that you might not use you love it so much more I always always do this now in fact I've not ever got to the point where I have them bought it but for a month I'll sit in the purchase decision and if I still want it then I do definitely want it so I will buy it I have actually bought it yet so that just shows how often I was making those impulse purchases that are not mindful and buying things I did we need and that can save you hundreds of pounds miles depending how much you spend okay my final tip is to go through your freezer and meal plan this is so important this can save so much money we've been doing this ages now and not only did we go through the fridge and meal plan but we also go through and check what we've got so that we are using it up regularly because otherwise we just wasted so much food and it's just not good for the planet it's not good for our wallets it's just not good all around so yeah meal plan that just saves so much more time when you're cooking and planning out your week and it could save so much money as well so I guess that would say probably around 40 to 50 pounds a lunch so there we go guys the title is probably a bit conservative because honestly we have saved probably be probably more like 700 pounds a month doing these little tips so I really hope that you like them and they were informative
