UPDATE 2017: It’s funny but I forgot to add the oil to the dough for these rolls and no one even noticed. Recipe direction: Don’t forget to add 1/4 to 1/2 cup raw safflower oil or butter to your dough during the adding of wet ingredients. In this video Angie shows how to make whole wheat cinnamon rolls from scratch using wheat berries.

okay this video is going to be about how to make healthy cinnamon rolls and with only using a few ingredients we've got demerara sugar normally I use butter but I don't have any better right now so we're going to use soft flour oil if then of course we're going to use our raisins that you have haven't sent minerals and sediment but first the biggest process that we have to do is make the bread dough for the cinnamon rolls and what we use is white wheat and it's still dated July 2010 because we just got it and this is what it looks like white wheat white wheat doesn't mean it doesn't have the bran or anything it's just a very more of a pastry type wheat and what I'm going to do is I'm getting my trusted spray master here that I've had her about 18 years now the same one they don't sell them anymore at lamins make these flower why not do that right now this is what they call the hopper turn it on and here it goes all right it's done making the flower it took about a minute and a half to two minutes to make this much flour and now we're going to make the cinnamon rolls all right now we're going to make the bread and the ingredients for the bread are very simple I use about a tablespoon or so that was a tablespoon and a half yes this is going to make two batches of cinnamon rolls it makes about 30 cinnamon rolls I bank with the big cinnamon rolls this is just east and then I've got to put some sugar in there normally I don't measure bed top measure I'd usually just put the sugar in I don't measure because I kind of know what a half at the end we put this in the bread dough so little sweet about three quarters of a class that's what we just put in there and dumb then you put in two cups of warm water make sure that your honor teen activate the g let this sit bottle of them in and we're going to make the cinnamon rolls oh wait I forgot to say that I do put some from Raymond at all quarter of a bag of raisins we're going to use more raisins later okay and we also need to put about 2 teaspoons of salt this happens to be sea salt in the cinnamon roll batter or restart netting it we're probably going to use about nine tops of flour and I use about three or four cups at first half of that to get it into a nice little workable netting threat so that was about four cops let's do about some more cops here ok start netting some people like to say that netting is an art to make good bread but when I've been in a hurry I have netted my bread maybe 45 minutes and it's still a fantastic brat I didn't always make the bread when I first started making bread about 18 years ago it never turn out that through the years making bread every day or my family has made some pretty good pretty good rats alright here's your dough it's very heavy dense but it's going to be really good for cinnamon rolls but it's kind of this amount of dough like I said we'll make about 32 maybe a little bit more cinnamon rolls we'll see and now we're it's going to have to rise so what we do is nap in the bowl and I get a little bit of olive oil and I put on it because we use a lot of Halliwell around here it's kind of sit there in this bowl for about 45 minutes so we'll come back and we'll make some cinnamon rolls here it is in the bowl and I'm going to cover it for 45 minutes to put it over here because he doesn't the show on earlier so the warm it might help this race you don't have any cheap oil for the nice clean cloth on it or whatever you want to just let it ride come back you later alright so about 45 minutes Joe is raised about this much it's ready to make it some cinnamon rolls and that's what we're going to do now I get it a little bit more I cut the dough the two he says like this do this to make sure they're just about the same remember each batch is going to make about 30 to 35 cinnamon rolls so what we're trying to do here and just roll out the dough creep into this that stinks change like this what I do is I either use a whole better listen thought I'm having a meeting some have the raw sunflower oil I don't use olive oil with my cinnamon rolls because since two it has a very strong flavor all of Sandy don't wanna to collide with the cinnamon then you take half your sugar and this is probably about oh come and a half of sugar for the two cinnamon roll so it really doesn't have that much into the we use the nineties half of them raisins and I smash them down real good like this the last item is the ground cinnamon I'm very liberal with this in here because we all like very much cinnamony flavor of nulls then I'm going to roll it on now this is the secret you have to do it very tightly on both edges if you roll kind of pull it towards you as you roll it that way it stays tight you don't want Luke cinnamon rolls or they fall upon Farkle during the baking process you just pull out them like this close them up I'm close up in c and the scenes I'm here this one right here working at my best about like that if my family they get eaten up very quickly as you're going to be able to see later when I take these out of the oven it's time to eat them what you're going to want to do is take this other your other pound and do the exact same thing with it all right this is the second rising it's been about an hour and now what you do is you just want to put them in the oven with little cinnamon rolls like this they only need to be in the oven for about seven to ten minutes so keep an eye on them it all right the cinnamon rolls are ready and I'm just about ready to call everybody all right you guys come and get it cinnamon rolls array really good for my back I'm gonna do it good um how many he wants to know how many kids you can have the whole pan if you want Wow I'll give it a shot good Oh cinnamon rolls mm where's my plate armor plates right here so yeah is there any difference between the two pans yes the pan on the right has more sugar sugar fanatics I'll go for the one before sugar I'll start out with you for now it was awful taste you
