Warning! – Are you filming this? It started so innocently. I just wanted some do-it-yourself filmmaking
tips from my Buddy Erik Beck, how could I know my love for movie science would lead
to my blood-soaked demise? This time I’m going to show you how to create
a throwing knife effect. Oh. That should have been my first clue. It’s a really simple prop. And this is super cheap and super easy. Okay. Erik Beck is like a Midas of the DIY effects
world. On the website Indymogul he teaches people
how to turn random junk into cinematic gold. Most of the supplies cost a couple of bucks,
but there are a few indispensables you should have before starting any Indymogul project. A hot glue gun and paint. And for a horror movie, Pola’s famous homemade
blood from earlier in the show. It’s basically you need to get two matching
toy knives. All right. I actually already pre-prepped one of these,
but I can give you a quick breakdown of how I built it. Okay. One of these fake blades is for the bad guy. The other one, which Erik already prepped,
is going to be rigged up to me. And the cool thing about these toy knives,
which is why I got them, is they’re actually hollow inside and it makes it really easy
to stick this piece in. I have some cardboard here, but what I, what’s
better is like a little, like a think piece of cardstock. If you’re using cardboard, attach the knife
with hot glue, which big plus, looks gruesome and coagulated. It’ll melt smooth and you kind of go through,
dab it and just make it look extra gross. If you want to upgrade, use sturdier cardstock
like Erik’s pre-made rig. Drill a couple of holes in it and attach to
the L-bracket with nuts and bolts before hot gluing. And then obviously you go over it with some
paint. Yep, a little bit of red paint. Next up, the star of any gore fest, the blood. For the blood system, this is going to be
also super simple. This is a five-ounce syringe. You can get these online at like a medical
supply store or something like that. It’s not a ton of blood, but if you like
pulse it and just. Yeah that’s what we want. Exactly. This will, you know, stick on right here when
you’re ready to go, but you have to make sure you get the right tube to fit your syringe, obviously. Just the right spurt factor, Erik plugged
up the exit hole with glue and sliced through the side of the tube with an X-Acto. You can just sort of you can just pump it. Oh, that sprays out really nice. Yeah, it gets a little more like natural. It looks like it’s coming out in like three
or four streams. Exactly. You know, it stretches out. It’ll be like this. Okay, so yeah, there’s plenty. And then you’ll be off-camera pushing the
syringe. Yup. The last step is to just hot glue this onto
the knife rig. A little more. Don’t be shy. More? That’s good? It’s pretty much done. This has just got to dry for a little bit. You got to hold that for a while? Yeah, someone’s got to hold it. Okay I’ll, I’ll let you hold that. I’m going to go get into character. Actors. Lights, camera, onscreen warning. – – – First up, we shoot the part before I get popped
with the cleaver. Not to name-drop, but we’ve got some serious
A-list professionals here. White medical tape. Secure the knife with some tape. Put on a second shirt to hide the rigging,
and we’re just about ready. Now, for the camera trick. We’re going to shoot the cleaver in the
killer’s hand and use a camera trick called a whip pan. See how it whipped away? It looks like he threw it, but it’s still
in his hand. Cut to a different set-up, we whip pan to
me with the cleaver rig already hooked up. When you edit it together it looks seamless
as you are about to find out. Don’t worry, April. I’ll protect you. No, Rodney. The cleaver killer’s still out there. It’s okay. I’m going to come back. And when I do, I’m finally going to marry
you. Huh? Rodney! Why? And cut. Okay, yeah, cool effect, man. Yeah, cool. I’m glad you liked it. Oh, thanks a lot for helping today. Yeah You know what? I’m going to head out. I got some videotapes All right. I got to work on.

hey guys this Courtney I'm here with a pretty quick video today just sharing some of my money saving tips in the craft room some alternatives that you can use or use maybe some of the supplies that you have for multiple things so we're gonna start off with the foam tape now I've always always always used the Scotch foam tape which I still love but I have recently discovered this foam tape I believe it's pronounced X hacen and I have found it on Amazon than I actually found it as a recommendation through post on stamp junkies on Facebook so it is significantly cheaper than the Scotch foam tape but it is also very sticky so you'll see that I have two pairs of scissors that I constantly bring out one is for my regular cutting and one is specifically for foam tape because after a while you will get a little bit of a residue it is slightly thinner as far as the width goes but otherwise it's pretty comparable to the Scotch foam tape except for the price so over on Amazon the Scotch foam tape is $32.99 for 36 yards and for the X fastened foam tape it is $11 and 19 cents for the same amount so it's like a third of the price so next we're gonna move on to a sham it here is my dirty chamois and it's not even wet it's pretty dried out right now but instead of using the stamp shammies that lawn fawn and Gina Kay have although they're wonderful I have discovered these over on Amazon as well they are actually for your car they come in a roll and you can see that I'm just about out but I typically just cut it where it's folded so I normally get eight of them or eight of the size that I cut them down to out of each one of these rolls they are a little bit damp while they're in the packaging so I always keep the top on them but they're not soaking wet but they're really super easy to cut so like I said you will get eight of them provided that you cut them in equal sizes like I do and they are again significantly cheaper than the stamp shammy itself so the stamp shammy over on Simon Says Stamp for the lawn fawn one is dollars and 99 cents for one for these shammies you will get a total of eight and it's nine dollars in six cents on Amazon big difference next we're going to move on to a craft mat this looks very much like a ranger craft mat the traditional craft mat that if any of you have been crafting for more than a couple of years you will recognize this so this is not actually a Ranger craft mat although it looks exactly the same it's actually a baking sheet that comes in a five pack over on Amazon rolls up nicely for storage works identically to the craft mat itself very easy to clean perfect for watercolor techniques and ink techniques and like I said very easy to clean differences once again the price so the Ranger craft mat ranges from anywhere from fourteen to eighteen dollars while this mat you get five in a pack and it's eight dollars and 69 cents for five of them on Amazon so next we're going to move on to just a little bit of a hack so you can see that I have a self-healing cutting mat here that I have cut down and I just use a regular box cutter for this I'm sure there's probably a different kind of tool that you should use but that's all I got so I cut it to the same size as the cutting mat for around Gemini and this will work for any die-cutting machine I just want to pay attention to the thickness so if it's not quite as thick as your cutting mat you may have to add a shim which I do for my Gemini so I'm going to use this as my base plate I'm gonna die cut everything the same exact way but you can see that I am using this metal shim that I don't typically use but I used for this just because the cutting mat is a little bit thinner than the cutting mat for the Gemini but you can see I get perfect results it is a self-healing mat so doesn't matter how many times you cut it it's going to self heal so whatever cutting mat you have once they get dirty or stained or whatever and you don't want to use them anymore cut them down and use them for your die-cutting machine so here is my tombow mono multi glue if you have ever watched any of my videos you'll see that this is my favorite he said for everything it is cheap I could use it for multiple things not only is it my regular adhesive for you know gluing my panels to my card base but it's also repositionable so I'm gonna use this on my little mat here that I have created for my Misti I just printed this off from the internet on a piece of cardstock going to score it a little bit of this tombow mono multi glue and smear it around with my finger let it dry for just a couple of minutes and it becomes repositionable so I'm going to lay my card panel down there line my little stamp up and stamp this and normally the stamp would kind of move around your paper a little bit if you had to stamp this more than once but you can see once I lift up the Misti lid it stays perfectly in place because of that repositionable adhesive underneath it and I can use this over and over so the tombow mono multi glue super cheap and it can be used for just about everything it's permanent and it's repositionable four dollars and 69 cents on Simon Says Stamp and $5.99 on Amazon so next we're going to talk about the scan and cut I have the skin and cut too because they don't feel like it's necessary to get the latest and greatest of everything that's out there I use mine just to scan and cut in replacement of die cuts die cuts are very expensive and sometimes you like your coordinating dies with your stamp sets but we can't always afford them so although this machine is very expensive it pays for itself in the long run the mats however are also very expensive and really not all that sticky so here I'm using my mat here and typically I would clean this off with just a sponge and some water to get all of the cat hair that's still stuck on there and any residue that I have from paper but I didn't do that this time I just need to add a little bit of stick so I'm using this 2-way glue by zig and you can see that it comes out blue it's kind of like one of those paint pens where you have to dab it onto a scratch piece of paper so that the glue starts coming out you can see that I shook it don't shake it you don't need to shake it or else you're gonna splatter it all over like I did but once it dries it will become clear so you will know when it's dry when it's no longer blue and it be repositionable it's perfect for the skin and cut mats it also works well for the cricket mats I don't know about the other mats because I don't have any other machines from that other than those two but they work great for both and it'll save you a ton of money on your mats so let's talk about price of all three of these things obviously the machine is the most expensive the latest and greatest scan and cut is like four hundred dollars but the scanning cut to is 200 $89.95 on Amazon the mats are 13 dollars apiece however the zig to a glue is six dollars and 48 cents and I you could probably Rhys tick your mat about 20 times so definitely worth it here I just wanted to talk about my three main tools that I need in my craft room that are very inexpensive first is the white gel pen not only is this great for adding details to your coloring and to your images but it's great for fixing mistakes so this will save you time and save your cards you can just kind of go over any smudges with your white gel pen and fix them right up same thing with the sand eraser this will take off any ink smudges if you have a fingerprint or something like that this will take that right up same thing or almost the same thing for the adhesive eraser which will if any of your glue kind of seeps out the side of your die cuts or the side of your panels let it dry rub that up with the adhesive eraser it may take a few times but you'll get that stickiness tonette residue off of your projects so these are three very inexpensive tools that will save your cards the sand eraser all of these prices are on Amazon sand erasers two dollars and 89 cents adhesive eraser is two dollars and twenty nine cents and the white gel pens I typically buy in a three pack because I use them all the time and they are six dollars for three of them so I hope this video was a little bit helpful for you guys to use what you have or save as much money as you can so that we can spend it all on stamps and kopecks thanks so much for stopping by guys have a great day bye

who even said that babies are expensive hi guys welcome back to my channel if you're new here my name is Eve Hemingway and if you enjoy my videos please hit that subscribe button and the notification bell so you never miss another video I don't know why people say that their knees are sore expensive I have literally profited since having Child Benefit no I'm totally joking but seriously you can seriously cook the cost of buying things for your baby using these top ten tips that I am about to give you now number one have you ever tried to sell your baby things you probably won't get a lot for them but if you're on the other side of this you can get so many great cheap things just by using Facebook or going down to the charity shop it's it's so good and you can buy good quality things as well these are just a few things that I've bought secondhand to have you seen in charity shops or on Facebook where people are selling things brand new I always see this and I have purchased a lot of things that still do have the label on for like probably a tenth of the price that these people paid for them the reason for that is that people just buy too many cloves for their babies apart from baby growers you can never have enough baby gorillas and best for that matter but these things are cheap anywhere like literally the other day I went to Asda and bought ten vests for nine pound 50 that is less than a pound per vest and they're not just like white ones either like they they have patterns on them they look pretty nice but yeah I think when it comes to buying your baby outfits you don't really need too many just because like these sort of things are really expensive cute little jeans and nice little dresses and things just things that you put in your baby to make them look like not a baby I don't really think they're very comfortable either but every time I see Edward in a baby growing it makes me wanna wear a baby girl there is no wonder that onesies took off like five years ago they are most confused things ever tip number three before having a child you have to make sure that you have other friends and other family members that have also had children so that they can pass down all of their clothes this is great for the people that are passing down the clothes as well because babies grow so fast you go is gonna have like a bunch of clubs in the in the laughter in a club in dirt they're not using anymore because they've like quickly grown out of them and the easiest way is just to give them to your friends I have a few of my friends that are pregnant at the moment and I honestly can't wait to give my clothes out because I need the storage and it's also really nice to pass down your things to other people so out of everything that I've bought Edward it was the prominent that was the most expensive I got one of those travel system things it had like the carry car and the car seat and everything where they can sit off which is basically like a stroller the thing is with these they're just they take up way too much room like I could never fit that in my car and to be honest we're never really used it the best thing that we bought was the harness what's a bit of fabric compared to like a big-ass multifunction pram if you don't have a silver cross or an eye candy pram people are gonna look at you and judge you for your prom so why buy a really expensive prom when you can just buy a harness and no one's gonna judge you at all if anything people are gonna think it's even cuter that you're holding your baby around your fern I love it when I see people do that Tim no guys I get all my nappies and baby wipes from Aldi because they are just so cheap I have tried so many different brands of Nafees and I always found Aldi ones are by far the best quality and by far the cheapest it's literally five pounds 492 nappies you can't go wrong Tim even though I've bought and I have been given loads of toys Edward is still prefers to play with the doorstop on the wall so I actually installed another one in the living room just randomly and he will literally push his toys out the way to get to this doorstop so that he can play with it tip number seven putting shoes on a baby can resort to their feet looking like this no I'm joking but seriously it can actually affect their mobility Plus shoes for babies are so expensive they are so hard to get on and then they just fat sliding off or they'll kick them off so you have to pick it up off the floor and then put it back on their foot like it it's just such a pointless thing although when Edward does that walk in his first years are gonna be don't mind so I'm serving up using these amazing tips tip number eight talking about feet how annoying are baby so you are constantly pulling them up especially when they're starting to crawl like ten miles an hour they just fly off something that annoys me is that they don't sell tights for baby boys but a few weeks ago I was just like gender norms I'm gonna get him some they are amazing when he crawls they stay on all day they never come off they are the best thing I have ever bought him number nine I cannot stress enough that making your baby food is so much more cheaper honey is way better for your baby I don't know if you've ever bought packet or jar food for babies even the stage three ones they are still pretty pureed and now that Edward is starting to want to feed himself with a fork or with his hands he hates anything pureed so he will literally just cry when I tried to give him those sort of things but surprisingly he likes his mom's cooking even though it just took obviously a little bit longer to make the baby food if you make them in bulk and then just freeze all the little parts you've gotten for like at least two weeks so healthier for your baby and a lot cheaper for you number 10 and finally take full advantage of grandparents I learned this at Christmas when I was like right I'm not gonna buy Edward a lot of things I hate when I see things on Instagram or Facebook and mums are literally competing with each other of how much their baby gets for Christmas my parents and my grandma and a lot of my friends had bought Edward so many things it's just easier just to buy them one thing and just let your family do the rest so if you have any money 7 tips to do with babies or to do with life then please leave a comment below the kiss I'm going to Vietnam next month and I really need to start serving thanks again for watching and I'll see you next time

What if we told you how you can save money, and make money at the same time? You could make twice as much as a savings account can give you, you can take the money back at any time, and there’s no hidden fees!

What’s the secret? Fixed Deposits! You probably have your money in a savings account right now. But FDs can earn you double the money.

Your savings account is probably earning you about 4-5% in interest a year. An FD on the other hand, will earn you approximately 7- 8.5%. So, hypothetically, 1 lakh in the bank could earn you 4000 bucks in a savings account, but 8500 bucks in an FD. Quick question. Which is higher?

Not only does an FD earn you almost twice as much, if you need cash you can break your FD within a day. You might lose a bit of interest, but no other investment option gives you that kind of liquidity.

Finally, You don’t pay any additional fees. There’s no brokerage, there’s no commissions, there aren’t even any maintenance costs. Like your uncomfortable flight seats, FDs are economical.

So let’s just make a quick list: higher returns, cash flexibility and no fees.

You’ve literally just got to relax and let your money do its thing. And once you have enough money saved, you can make the most of the BankBazaar Maha March Sale on all products! We’re talking India’s FIRST finance extravaganza :
