hey guys welcome back to my channel I'm Sonia and today's video is going to be another food haul and I'm really excited about this because a lot of you guys actually really enjoy these videos and have been requesting them in the comments section of my previous videos so here is another one and I'm also going to be sharing some tips tricks and also money-saving strategy before going to the market I know it sounds like really technical and really serious but it's not it's really easy and all I'm gonna do is share the ways that I'm saving money and the way that I am really getting full use of everything that I buy at the market so it's really helpful I learned a lot of things from girlfriends my mom or on Pinterest believe it or not and so yeah I cannot wait to get into this video but before we do that don't forget to like share and also subscribe to this channel if you have not already and let's get started okay so before we get into the video I'm going to share a few of my tips and tricks it's definitely more than just couponing because some stores you can't coupon so what I suggest doing is downloading some apps that are gonna help you either make some lists and really utilize everything that you already have in your refrigerator or in your pantry and make meals going off of that so all you'll need to do is buy rice or all you need to do is buy the meat for the protis you already have in your refrigerator so it's really really handy to write it out map it out kind of meal plan before going to the grocery store now I did this in my last grocery run so instead of having like four or five bags I only had two bags of groceries which is like unheard of for me now this video is not sponsored I'm just telling you one woman to another one mom to another this is like the best thing ever also depending on the stores that you guys go to you might have coupons either online or in mailers that come you know in the mail or you can also download apps for that particular grocery store but today I did go to Trader Joe's and unfortunately there's not you know a ton you can do as far as coupon cutting and things like that but I feel that following them on Instagram and following their fan pages on Instagram has really helped me to discover new items and then also see what's on sale so I can hurry up and go and take advantage of those cool cut downs I know places like bonds they actually keep track of the items that you purchase and if you are a repeat offender which I feel like all of us are all like creatures of habit and buy a lot of the same things over and over again they will actually send you notifications or emails through the app or through your email and give you coupons on the things that you already buy thanks to using a Club Card which also saves you money for Trader Joe's I had to implement the whole meal planning situation so I know this haul is gonna be super duper random but I promise I'm actually making meals so if you guys would like to see like what my family eats in a day I can definitely do that for you guys so the first thing I'm gonna talk about are the things that I bought that are frozen which is not very much because I don't like to buy too much frozen food but you know gotta live especially as working moms who are super busy there are really good options for frozen food so there is no judgment here and if anybody wants to judge take it so wrap so the first thing that I always buy at Trader Joe's that have to be rice these cook in about 3 minutes and they're super affordable and but I love this jasmine rice Jude loves this jasmine rice and it goes with every dish you can think of especially this chicken teriyaki this mandarin orange chicken they actually sell these to come items the same brand and everything after Vaughan's and i think it's about 4 dollars more expensive can you imagine that I know it's kind of shocking when I find something at Trader Joe's that's less expensive there than it is at Vons or Albertsons because I feel like a lot of people have it in their head that everything at Trader Joe's is so expensive but if you shop right I'm telling you it can be affordable and the last frozen item that I bought was these multigrain toaster waffles so their frozen waffle and I just pop them into the toaster chop them up in Jerusalem with a light you know syrup or what have you and I think that's syrup like I think I got this at Trader Joe's as well so this is the maple syrup that I got I hate people syrup this smell seriously grosses me out and then also when I'm making a salad I cut things up and instead of you know if you're only using a part of your onion you're not gonna throw it away you're gonna want to keep it so what I do is I make your goal kind of like salad kits so here's like some greens I also have a half of onion a quarter of a pair and a lime and this will help me create a salad in like two minutes next up we have some pork chops and another money-saving tips is to actually pick them up and sift through them I've also taught this trick to Jude so he rummages through them as well now when you're buying meat you want to pay attention to a couple of things number one the price obviously because they do market by price over at Trader Joe's and this one in particular is eight dollars in one sense but there were some there were fourteen dollars for three pieces so this is three pieces that only eight dollars and then you're also going to pay attention to the date that it's suggested to buy now I like to go to the back of like the stack of meat and grab those because the ones in the back are the ones that are the freshest so you're gonna grab those those ones are going to expire in like a week not in like a day so you'll make sure you pay attention to that now I also got some strawberries Cato friendly not keto friendly but Sonia friendly is my favorite fruit ever next to go I have US but I never see them unless they're at a farmers market and some fresh sliced mangoes Jude picked these little mini heirloom tomatoes he loves these and who seriously could not wait to eat them on the way home like hey they're not great he's eating on my grapes speaking of grapes I also got this medley of seedless grapes so you have like the dark almost black grapes the green ones and then also some purple yeah my mouth is literally watering from the mango so good I also got Calloway caviar which is my favorite salsa I also got the candied walnuts which is going to be amazing on any like beet salad Paris salad strawberry salad oh good you guys um also I got this little package of olives which I'm gonna tear up after I'm finished filming this I also got some organic fat-free milk this is the boys favorite I can drink milk cuz I will explode I got some butter lettuce which I usually buy like butter lettuce that's living on the root still because I feel like it's still crispy and still got some life in there um but I'm gonna tear it up so doesn't matter so here's a bag of butter lesson is only like a dollar ninety-nine really good price because the living butter lettuce is like six or seven dollars I also got some 100% cranberry juice this stuff is so strong you guys we had a little sip and we had to dilute it so much like I feel like I will have to get like maybe halfway and then fill the rest of it with water and shake it up because it's so so strong knife definitely recommend using the hunt percent cranberry juice and not the cocktail juice because it's literally just a whole jar sugar I also got a Persian cucumber I got this bell pepper which is gonna go amazing in pasta or salad I got some line because this is the main ingredient in all of my fellow dressings I got a dab of organic thrown brown blue corn tortilla chips to go with my cowboy caviar so good you guys and lastly I got some chocolate coz Jude was harassing me about it so this is just there Trader Joe's crispy rice milk chocolate and that's it hopefully you guys enjoy this video I know I did I love seeing food halls and if you guys have a channel let me know in the comments down below as well maybe if you guys have some time you can check out those channels and I would love to support other people who are here on YouTube my friend Christine also does food haul so check out her link in the description box down below if you guys are on Weight Watchers or just looking for some new items to add to grocery list sharing is caring so I love you guys so much thank you so much for watching and I can't wait to see you guys in the next one hi

this beautiful colorful basket I'm so excited about all these hello and welcome back to my channel my name is Stacy flowers and I am a student of Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University and on a journey to become a 100% debt-free my current debt is over one hundred and eighty three thousand dollars I am on baby step number two to repay 100 percent of my debts I earn an income of anywhere between 1,500 and 2,000 dollars on average a month working part-time and running my company quarter time in this video I'm going to be sharing with you my July 2018 grocery haul so if you are interested in that please keep watching let's take a look at what I have here in the cabinet I've been starting a little bit of work on organizing my pantry I got a gift card from Target and so I bought these although I don't think that they're going to be large enough and I think I'm just going to switch over to a hundred percent mason jars but I have a little bit of black beans I have a little bit of quinoa rice this is the last amount of my oats I have angel hair pasta that I purchased to make homemade ramen noodles I still have my banana rings that I just have not even from my last grocery haul and then I have a couple of broth and so let's talk about the broth really quick because a lot of you guys suggested bouillon cubes and when I first moved in I went I got beef and chicken yes beef and chicken bullion cubes and I put it in my red beans and I put it in my black beans and it was absolutely delicious however what happened was is I was out myself like every time I would eat like a bowl cuz you know I have it for like lunch and dinner so like I eat it a lot but every time I would eat it I would get overwhelmingly tired like even when I would eat it at work oh god why am I so tired why am I so tired enough let me look at my ingredients and when I looked at the bullion cubes there is soy but I can't remember how I don't know if it's a soy oil or soy bean I'm not 100% for sure but I just my body doesn't have a good reaction to soy so I can't use bullion cubes with soy in it and I haven't found young-kyu that doesn't have soy in it so if you guys have a recommendation I'm totally open to not using these to save money but I think people this is just something people will say oh you can get that cheaper at this place and you're right but you have to ask yourself why is it cheaper at other places it's not always just cheaper at other places because one store you know branding and marketing and it's organics sometimes it's cheaper because they're using lower quality products in addition to the thing so like for example like seasonings like sometimes when you're purchasing seasonings you're not just purchasing that seasoning you're purchasing that seasoning but they blend up other things that are tasteless but like provide the bulk so that would be my recommendation it's just I understand that there are a thousand ways to make my grocery shopping even less expensive than what it is at fifty dollars a month but me making some of those decisions winds up being the wrong decision for me because there are products that I don't want to consume and in me purchasing something cheaper I'm unintentionally consuming those products for example the bulan cubes where you can get like ten versions of this box of broch but in you getting those ten versions you're also getting the who humping of soy and if you don't eat soy you know that becomes a problem so I have chicken broth I have beef broth and then here I have some coconut bases and I'm a little bit of popcorn summarising corn mill rice flour a bread crumb with baking soda our seasonings I'm doing pretty good with seasonings have smoked paprika I have a little time ground cumin ground cinnamon pepper lemon pepper adobo this is I still have tons of that tumeric left bay leaves and a piece off from my auntie and then here in the cabinet sort of the same things the olive oil from May grapeseed oil and most of these things really aren't going down because I haven't really been cooking I haven't been cooking at home because it is really hot but also last month is my birthday month and I went out quite a lot so that's what having the cabinet let's take a look in the free refrigerator so in the refrigerator I have some celery but this is going to be turned into vegetable stock because it's just I left it in here too long these carrots may still be good so I may pull those and turn those into some snacks some sweet peppers which I'm super excited about did buy a little bit of kale I don't like the prepackaged kale I'm gonna finish eating it but I don't like the prepackaged kale I have a container of red beans a container of black beans little coconut milk that's leftover in a water pitcher not particularly satisfied with that water pitcher I'm so I likely will switch that out little bit of banana peppers have some red roasted peppers a little bit of almond milk and a little salad dressing and I'm running out of this is a little bit of frozen kale that's from that bag just because I knew I wasn't going to eat through it because I don't really like it very much but I don't want to waste it I don't know if you can freeze kale and maintain its nutrients but we shall see peas and a little bit of corn left so there are quite a few things that I will be getting from the grocery store today and yeah so there are quite a few things that will I'll be getting from the grocery store and I will also be getting some like mason jars to store things because I really want to switch over to not using as much plastic since I'm in my own home so let's go to the grocery store so I had all the plans and all the plans were to go to three different stores and then out of nowhere I don't even know if you guys can hear me but out of nowhere this brain came out of no way what I took my Mecca and I've been in the car now [Applause] these are a little darker one of the things that I am trying to figure out is how to cut all soy ouch I don't know if you guys can see that but the second ingredient second or first ingredient for most of all these male is soybean oil and I don't respond very well to soy so I'm gonna try this is the only one that I've found that doesn't have soy oil listed as an ingredient so I'll let you guys know this brand may actually be better I found another one that doesn't have soy in it from him but this has eggs in it and I prefer to not have eggs they make me a little sluggish but this one here is specifically says no GMO and egg free so I actually think we're going to go with this Mayo I'm kind of stoked about that a little closer and right here I don't know if you guys can see that it says it may contain soy and I'm thinking that that is because of where it's manufactured you know how like sometimes things are manufactured near each other which for me may contain soy is way better than soybean oil being the first ingredient so I'm gonna go ahead and try this and this speed the booty some wholefoods chickpeas red pepper flakes red beans popcorn oats and black bean I'm at the last store and I have my little bag with my cash envelopes out these are my original cash envelopes from Dave Ramsey and I'm at the third store today and I have you can see that in there I have 25 dollars left to get me some vegetables which primarily decorates my bases of oatmeal and beans every single day and quinoa this budget is $50 but I do think that I'm gonna increase my grocery budget to 75 right now I'm just in the habit of shopping at 50 and until I get a little bit more comfortable with my kitchen I don't want to waste so you guys saw when I was looking through my kitchen that and I mean technically it won't go to waste but I have carrots i have celery and a couple of peppers that went bad and I don't like that so I don't want that to happen and for that reason the other 25 if I do use it in this budget I'll just use it later on in the month if it comes up but if it doesn't then you know fifty dollars it is so let's go see beautiful color Pro basket I'm so excited about all these green I'm a pineapple and peaches so you guys can see that on the ground there this is what I got for my fifty dollar grocery haul with the exception of the mason jars because those were part of my household pantry that I got um because she's very hot all those stairs I got those so that I could make my to go salads but also so that could fill out my pantry so I'm kind of super pumped about that it is much much later in the day you can't really tell because it's been raining and whatnot but it's super hot so I am going to first watch them sorry guys I'm going to who first I feel like my my face is falling off me okay I'm gonna first wash my mason jars just a little I can as I'm preparing food I literally have a place to be able to put the food in and then I'm gonna show you guys what I got so this is July's summers grocery calls and I'll start down here I got my thing of almond milk got a very large container of strawberries this and this came from Walmart as well as this celery came from Walmart and it's funny that I have so much celery I'm not really a celery fan but it seasons things well and I'm making a lot of like cold salads like cauliflower salad and pasta salad and stuff like that and it seasons it really well I got a 1 bunch of spinach have a head of romaine lettuce I got two things of golden beets so this has two on it this has three on it got a pineapple I've got three stalks of our three heads of corn on the cob yellow pepper orange pepper red pepper green pepper these red pepper flakes are from Whole Foods I have three yellow onions because I'm still eating onion rings but also seasoning two peaches a head of cauliflower some rotini noodles tricolor for my pasta salad mustard garlic and this just Mayo and again this is gonna be for my pasta salad as well as for my cauliflower salad and then from Whole Foods I got red beans black beans red pepper flakes popcorn oatmeal and a little bit of gum bark the chickpea so now it's time to put all these dishes so what I'm doing in this jar is I'm just taking this celery that has died I'm washing it and I and I'm just chopping it up a little bit and I'm putting it in here because I'm going to and I wish I would have got to it just a little sooner but what I'm gonna do is when I get ready to make my vegetable broth I'm gonna use these veggie scraps in the vegetable broth so I put everything away we'll bring a couple of strawberries my pineapple will sit here a peaches here my corn on the cob here we look in the fridge you have my almond milk down here but this is what the fridge looks like the kale snacks are there this here is spinach it's just strawberry and then that's lettuce back there etc etc and then we go to the freezer oh there was something I forgot to show you guys I had sweet potatoes down here I keep forgetting that I have sweet potatoes down there so just so you know have sweet potatoes then we have what the pantry looks like here for the most part everything up here is the same I just move things up that's the red beans that I got from Whole Foods and this behind here leftover black beans and some new my onions are here this is a little piece of garlic old popcorn etc so this is where we are right yeah amazing super fantastic spectacular people that is my July 2018 these are so sweet grocery haul it was a very difficult one to film but I'm glad I did it I'm glad I've been able to find my mason jars so that is all that I have for you to them thank you so much for watching until next time I watch you all this

hey guys today I'm going to share with you some tricks to save money at the grocery store I know all of you love my budget haul videos so I thought that you would appreciate knowing my secrets to saving money at the grocery store let's start with number one eat in season right now it's summertime and berries nectarines grape tomatoes yummy vegetables and fruits are in season right now and for that reason they are cheaper at the grocery store I also find that they taste better when you're actually eating them when their season appropriate number two coupons I'm not really into clipping out my own coupons but you do have the option to go onto coupons calm red plum calm there's a few other websites where you can actually go on and print out coupons for foods that you are already buying at the grocery store you can also go on to your favorite brands Facebook pages and sometimes they have coupons for you to print out there too 3 make a list duh but don't just make a list meal prep and create a menu if you do this you're going to know how much you need of each item so that when you go to the store you can get enough so that you don't have to do midweek trips that often include impulse buys so create a list create a meal plan and get after it number 4 don't shop hungry if you're like me and you shop hunger you buy everything the store everything looks good so before you go to the store eat a meal have a nice lunch have a nice breakfast and then go shopping before dinner there's always a million people there especially on Monday and Tuesday's and you end up buying way more than you need so eat a meal before you go don't shop hungry number five go generic some of my favorite foods to buy like Oh cereals frozen vegetables by buying the generic version you're really not sacrificing any taste or quality you're just going to save money so don't be afraid to buy generic number six is something I do I shop around I know what stores have the best prices so when I need to do some staple shopping I'll go to Aldi because I know that they are the cheapest there four other things I like to go to Trader Joe's for some of my sauces in different condiments and frozen vegetables and then there's hopefully taupe it's actually has some great deals on things but also same with Target Sean's stop and shop we all have different grocery stores and I liked shop around to get the best deals possible which brings me to number seven use your iPhone when you go shopping I love this new app called grocery pal you enter in your zip code and then it lets you know what the sales are at the stores near you so if you know you love to eat Greek yogurt you can go and see what store has Greek yogurt on sale that week it also will let you know if there are $1 great tomatoes when Aldi has this week near me $1 for grape tomatoes I wouldn't have known that if I hadn't downloaded the grocery pal app but you guys can download it it's free and you guys can save some money by checking in to see where some of your favorite products are being sold at a discount number eight buy in bulk especially when things are on sale now if you're worried about them going bad preserve them using either canning freezing or even drying if you have a dehydrator I love buying things in bulk especially meat when they're on sale because you can get them from cheaper prices and then I just put them in the freezer so each week when I figure out what I'm having I can take them out so that they saw number 9 buy your meats with the bone in or if you're buying seafood with the shell or bones still in if you buy chicken bone in it is way cheaper and it actually does taste better you have to roast it a little bit longer but just remember to take the skin off to remove some that excess fat you don't need if I were to buy shrimp at the grocery store without the shell it would cost me more money so take a few extra minutes yourself to buy it with the shell on and just do it yourself to save some money number 10 go vegetarian for some of the meals that you eat during the week beans are extremely affordable and so by factoring in a few vegetarian meals each week you are going to end up saving yourself some money number 11 avoid buying prepackaged foods or pre sliced produce grocery stores are charging you major dollars to do some of the dirty work that really doesn't take that much time so avoid buying the prepared and pre place number 12 pick a credit card that actually rewards you for shopping at the grocery store I have one that gives me points depending on how much I shop at the grocery store that month I then get to use those points to redeem for travel credits on my credit card statement so if I fly to California for work I can then use some of my grocery points to reduce that cost between like 100 and 200 dollars every credit card has a different rate as a different point system so shop around and pick the best one for you and the last one is to take bigger trips when you go to the grocery store when you go up to the register you might have a little sticker shock like oh my gosh I can't believe how much money I spent but I kind of mentioned this earlier by reducing the amount of times you go to a grocery store each week you're going to reduce the amount of impulse buys that you make at the store each time I go I'm guilty of this I at least five two or three things that I really didn't need but either I see them on sale or they look good or I'm in the mood and then I just end up spending more money than I needed to so by doing bigger grocery shopping trips each time you're going to reduce the amount of visits that you make and then reduce the amount of impulse buys and overall money that you have hopefully you enjoyed my tricks to save yourself some money at the grocery store if you're curious what a thirty dollar grocery haul looks like for meals for the entire week stay tuned to click on my thirty dollar grocery haul for the entire week see you guys soon you

good morning everyone so today we're going to be doing a budget vegan shop for under 15 pounds we're gonna be going to Tesco and getting all that we can get for 15 pounds I used to spend about this much money when I was at university I went vegan in my last year at uni and yeah I had to think about how to afford it I found personally that it actually did make my shopping cheaper but that was just my experience I know that there's a real kind of hot topic around veganism and it being expensive or not expensive and I know that for some people it's economically just not viable so don't get me wrong with this video it's just for those of you who are trying to go vegan and you are on a budget so hopefully some of the tips and tricks and some of the things I buy will show you how to do the same so the first thing I'm gonna do though before I go is get a bit organized and write a bit of a list and a bit of a meal plan because I find that when I go shopping and I just kind of gear on the shops mindlessly I end up picking up stuff I don't need and it's really difficult to shop on a budget so I have quite a few recipes on my website that I've done in the past that are budget so I'm gonna look on there find the budget recipes right bit of a meal plan and I'll share it with you and then write a list of ingredients that I can use for multiple things so that's what I'm gonna do first I recommend you do the same there's so many recipes out there that are cheap and yeah I've got plenty of them on my website so that's what I'm gonna do so I ran out everything on this piece of paper I will write up the final list in the description so you can use that but the way I did it is I wrote kind of a meal plan of the food the meals that I can cook so I've put down stir-fried chili tomato pasta lentil dal burger and potatoes leek and potato soup and hummus pasta those are all recipes on my website and then I've also written a list of all the ingredients kind of as a general guide I don't know how much money it's going to amount to so as we go around the shop I'm gonna help like calculate as we go but that's how I begun and hopefully it should go to plan from memory of University this is kind of the sort of food I would buy so we shall see I haven't counted condiments because they're the kind of thing you don't buy weekly you buy to top-up you know every month or whatever so anything for these recipes I already have in my cupboard so yeah but some some weeks I do understand that you need to buy some more soy sauce or some more ketchup or whatever and that may be hopefully I'll get get under 15 point to account for that kind of thing so what I would recommend though before you do write a list and you plan your food for the week is check your cupboards to see if you've got any food that needs eating up so you might have some rice or some beans or some lentils or something that you can use to make a meal this week and often that saves you a good amount of money so I'm not going to do that for my video because I think that I've got to stick to the 15 quid and I want to show you how to do that but let's get going and I'm not forgetting to leave the house with my tote bags plantlife less is more link below let me grab loads of these although I'm not sure how many value that's gonna fill up but let's grab some of these and get ready to go and the mission begins they say ditto 9mm it the other way around what's it struggling I've never done this it's gonna be daylight like me so we have this we can note everything we're buying and keep track on here so you can have a running total I guess hopefully you know that looks like has a total yeah so we can keep keep track of this they show you wouldn't like one big unicorn for 15 pounds I mean tempting have you got me anything valentine's day of course not have you got me anything very first thing you may have to weigh them but don't worry they'll be that don't be the mystery the wild card that we don't know the price of one lemon yeah cuz it'll be nice and alternatively you can get a bottle of lemon juice if you're on earth hard-core budget nice a bit more but you get way more so depends like 60 70 P maybe it's not as fresh but it still good yeah well big spender all right then put it on the scale and we can see good stuff but we can figure out 85% of to pound 20 years come on my family right will they have bananas good weight how much that their weight huh we'll figure it out how much do they weigh one point two four point seven six as mushy bananas are and apples 0.85 times 2.2 there we go holy crap that's a lot of money for apples yeah apples are expensive maybe yeah to rational this is when the holes are wasting from strictly if you're trying to save money because the taters are loose in the test go on twice the price of the ones are bad and when I was at uni I but over stuff without yeah you don't have access to the market or Karla's mark here at everything sometimes plastic is we've got one shot like it's going off doing the best so it's not always not to miss fault what you're doing your bestest other muscles but I think we're gonna have to go through the bagged potatoes finally scan our first item first year 125 jackpot even better to come later in the day take your after proper savings come to the realization that we're not able to use this because you have to print off the labels for everything to do that yeah so we're going to use it to calculator and then have to go through the television show rid of all the labels Lucia three pages fine don't get your soy milk from this section go to the UHT section they sell so we melt away I look at all this good stuff yoga stuff you gotta get real low yeah 59p yeah one day the we call we make it smooth knowing how much tea you have these fine wines and cheap crisps and these with me a luxury item if you have the space so they're gonna bleep it yet what's your favorite them I you look at the price a weight as well I think so I've run the calculations over many years shopping it's a weekend crisps this is the aisle who we get most of our shopping so the Baxters the rights that's much very the beans that's the thing so we need a big bag of rock pasta vegetable the fastest watching for things yes right you mean thanks for saving but bear in mind that the cheapest spaghetti is for TP a kilo yeah it is yeah yeah I thought that might be nice for the tomato one now you got to find the cheaper one there come on Maddie yes again you are after cash cheaper than when you buy them for example down here oh yeah these are the cheapest chopped tomatoes I ever find so they used to be 33 peeler didn't they but yeah but fourth one-pound 25 be smarter puree is a godsend you mean chopped tomatoes there we go so I need some soy sauce so everyone's got a chili sauce in their fridge yeah there's been there for years I feel like most time you go shopping you pick up one they're like condiments barks oh yeah that's what it is yeah I think so okay reduced assault there you go yeah that the cheapest option this is pretty much the same price as the world foods unless you're buying like two kilos is that do you buy the bigger one which puts more money that saves you more in the long run yeah if you want to bulk buy everyone could be happy for money up front some people don't feel like week to week you know I know I didn't when I was at uni I had just my money for the week and that was it I couldn't choose I mean – 985 oh yeah didn't have money in your account you have – available yeah I think so yeah nine pounds I think because we didn't scan anew the vegetables I feel like we're at the end now what are we got left kidney beans chickpeas frozen vegetables spread this it's frozen fruit let's do it we can't get up so chickpeas for tp4 for 1 pound but we don't need for but if you want for that's pretty cheap now we've hit double digits oh dear and we haven't scanned half the trolley and we've still gotta get some frozen fruit and some biscuits I mean we have to face it they are we just walk past the biscuit biscuit sheep at harmonium took my team I'm on a budget you've got to have biscuits they're full of everyone in button even if you're in a budget you're gonna be having good to get Sonya these ones are vegan and then my favorite smiled about this one and for that brand again no more peppers and something compound 14 public about the ground makes to news but I think we've overdone petrale gotta be enthusiastic you have been understand some things so I think we have to sleep I can sleep tight thank so what have we decided how does it reject because it was going to be like 16 Philistines with what we've got 20 so far so if I think really all the other stuff we've got we're gonna be able to eat a whole bag potatoes after I said all about plastics we're gonna go get a single potato and then some parrots and make some soup out of it because yeah the plant must have some burgers and chips what happened we're getting close I think I'm getting we're gonna need to get rid of more so this is our total so we're gonna have to get rid of something and I think it's going to be the yogurt so goodbye pudding and dessert for a week it's more tricky if you're shopping for one yeah if you're shopping for 230 pounds for us we can do this yeah 30 pounds for us for a week is a pretty normal money to spend I could have them for pudding yeah I'm being honest with that tree and it's just very difficult if there's one of you it makes it more expensive but that is the reality of student life if you're a student or if you're on a budget often you're on your own doing it obviously the more people the better why are you suing University with my friends it's we cook for each other we take turns each night to help with the workload and also just to save money and then that you didn't have to provide as much food every week but I know this is not just for students but anyone and everyone who's on a budget it's humbling to do this type of thing it reminds me of time when I had to do this too and also even then what I have to do this there are people just have to live off far far less than this and that's when veganism becomes very very difficult so I sympathize with that and yeah hopefully this makes it easier for those of you who can afford even 15 pounds a week so let's go to the tail and hope that this is the right amount you see that 1498 so we are back this is all the stuff that we bought I played out on the table nicely for you so you can see it amounted to 14 pounds 98 which is pretty good pretty on target yeah I'm really impressed we've got a lot of stuff I reckon a lot of this stuff will last longer than a week but then maybe some of the things you might need to top up I don't know but I think we did really really well for 15 quid I think we stopped the list well as well so let's just go into it and not talk too much we've got some college outs these are definitely the cheapest ones that growers harvest a lot loads of stuff in the grouse harvest including the rice and also some spaghetti which we're going to make some pasta with obviously and then it's some soy milk this is the UHT stuff that is way more affordable than the fresh stuff and this is the stuff we buy anyway every week we buy this I like this in my tea it's really good and it's the cheapest one there we've got four tins of chopped tomatoes because they are so versatile you can cook so many things with these and these were even cheaper than the ones you get the own brand Tesco stuff these were how much 25 P each rather than I guess like 30 or 40 P for the other brand so if you go in the world foods aisle you'll find some cheaper things like these chickpeas and they're not what I usually buy because I usually get the ones that aren't in salted water but they're really really good if you are on a budget and then the kidney beans these are definitely the best ones to buy I would buy these a lot at uni cuz they're the cheapest beans that you can get in the shop I also got some soy sauce because I figured I should at least buy one condiment for this whole thing's your you know most food shops you tend to top one condiment up if you've run out of it or something and then we've got some bananas to go with our oats in the morning it's that'll sweeten those and then we've got some fruit and veg so we went for like some really affordable ones like some mixed vegetables with red peppers they're frozen and I think even laughs quite a few meals because there's a really big bag of limits how much is it a kilogram this lettuce was a bit of a fluke because it was reduced it was 55 P I mean it's only 10 P off but still we've got some apples these were actually quite a luxury which I was surprised by I went to put like five or six of them I and I realize how expensive apples are I just assumed in the UK apples would be cheap because a lot of them are grown in the UK right like Cox apples oh yeah but they were expensive here's one just cheaper if you bought more in fasting yeah that's that's another thing that we mentioned that a lot of stuff in the supermarket is cheaper if it's in plastic which is frustrating if you're someone who's trying to reduce Tanner plastic wastage but then it's just the reality if you are on a budget or if you can't afford certain things and will have access to certain things you're gonna end up having to use more plastic which is another issue all together with like the whole zero waste thing but yeah it's it's interesting and then we've got a potato and a sweet potato which I'm gonna hopefully make some some soup with and then some carrots carrots are the cheapest vegetables I always buy carrots to bulk out males these will go really well in a chili I've got these instead of red pepper because red pepper is very expensive whereas carrots will go well in a chili and then I've got four onions because onions make every single meal taste a lot better and I use them in most of my recipes and then we've also got some garlic because of course garlic is gonna make everything taste really good and then the final two things I got was some kind of treats because realistically I couldn't go a week without having some crisps and some biscuits so I can have these with my cups of tea and they're like I'm happy that weekend or on a night when I want some crisps when I'm watching a TV show or a movie or something and yeah these ones I actually like anyway I used to buy these a lot when I was younger like all the time didn't I but not as much I don't know I used to have an obsession with these and when I was like hungover when I was a student that's so good it's not everything we got yeah I would like to get lentils sorry I forgot after engaging these things we also got some whole wheat noodles and some lentils to make some red lentil dal and to make the stir-fry these were the cheapest ones in Tesco that own brand because they had a few other ones that were way more expensive and if you'll notice most of the stuff if not all the stuff is on brown Tesco or the East End the hot of the sort of the stuff from the physical world food aisle so yeah if you're if you're going to the supermarket look for their own brand stuff because it's always going to be the cheapest even on toiletries and things like cleaning products toilet rolls that sort of stuff so I'm going to use all of these ingredients over the next week to make my meals and show you in my next video as I said they are all recipes from my website that's what I used as like my guide but I'm gonna show you on the left to put it in practical action during a week sort of breakfast lunch and dinner a few little bits here and there so stay tuned for that let me know if you enjoy that if you want to see that and if you enjoyed this video please give it a thumbs up and subscribe because I will do more of them I'll try them at Sainsbury's at Aldi all the other shops in the UK and see how it goes with the budget shopping and yeah bye
