How to budget for a wedding
How to plan a wedding on a budget
Who I booked for my wedding
How to DIY your wedding
How to plan your budget wedding
hello guys and welcome back to my channel as I promised in my previous video I am going to go through everything that I went through for my wedding how I planned it how it all came together okay so it all started when my at the time fiancé proposed to me on New Year's Day of two hundred 2017 sorry he is the most wonderful proposal and you can find that article on my blog but ever since that moment happen ever since that day I started planning for our wedding when I say I didn't waste time I mean I wasted no time now you got out of seven I'm one of those girls that grow up just can't wait to get married can't wait to have babies and all the rest of it so that was my mentality so I had always had an idea of what I wanted my wedding to look like feel like in whatever the case is now keeping in mind with me and my partner we were paying for our own wedding funding it ourselves with a bit of help with from our mums but it sort of was one of those situations where it's like okay does that mean we're limited glad about it but but I can't I promise you he ended up being the exact type of wedding that I would have chosen whether I had the budget that I had or whether I had like a million dollars to win a winner it was exactly what we wanted at the end to a point where some of our friends said they wish they had their wedding like ours sorry hopefully you can learn heaps in this video and I guess the most important thing is a remember so long cuz at the end of the day you get married to the person that you love the rest does not matter I promise you take it from me when I say but that is by far the most important thing choose the right person in your marriage will succeed no problem so I think the most important thing when hiding a wedding is organizing your budget even if you go over under whatever the cases like we went a bit over but creating a budget and when I say budget I don't eat okay that's the figure that's it we're gonna stick to that because money goes quicker then you could ever imagine you have to create yourself an Excel spreadsheet or use my template put in the incomes every break it down weekly I made a mistake of breaking it down monthly but it's so much more useful breaking it down weekly because you can put in every single expense you could possibly think of so pop that through make yourself an Excel spreadsheet it will save your life you'll know exactly what you can and cannot spend up on at any time you can even go online and check it out while you're there at the photographer's office or whatever the case is if they tell you a price you don't even have to go home and think about it you can go okay give me a second pop it into your theme doesn't work out will you still have enough money for what you budget for everything else yes or no go from there so that's number one number two is finding yourself a good decorator and eighth-grade coordinator for on the day our decorators thankfully provide that service as well so we paid a bit more and got them to organize everything on the day and coordinate everything so it was not my headache on the day I could purely enjoy it I cannot tell you when it all like push comes to shove as much as you're like no but I can do this I think on the day you just want to enjoy it because it goes by in a flash so just make sure that you have someone to call and leg everything on the day keeping in mind our wedding was more of like the outdoor DIYs II sort of thing even though we didn't do it ourselves the company judges themselves but it was more that then a organized venue sort of thing so it's very important to get people that you trust the decorators they have to share your vision understand weight coming from what kind of feel you want to go for it's super important that you click then the next thing we did was booked in the a photographer because I'm gonna talk about it was a huge deal for me to get the right photographer I looked everywhere and actually decided on someone and cancelled just because I stumbled across this person and there while this company and their sort of aesthetic and its lose my mind they had exactly what I wanted in a photographer very feeling inverted if that makes sense like their photos just like put you in that moment just by looking at them maybe I see it like this because I'm a photographer but I'm sure you guys can judge for yourself from the photos that come out okay so obviously because I'm a youtuber I thought how am I gonna save some money I know I can hire a video of different companies that can just send me the raw footage and I will edit it myself if you're good with that sort of thing by all means you do that but the most important thing is that wherever you can cut costs whether your profession is in I don't know whatever it is whatever your creative juices go to try and use that as best you can the more money you can save it that way the better because I guarantee at some point you'll be like oh shoot we should have done this and you'd need to like sort of have that extra cash to grab from so keep that in mind as well however you can save money and do it anyway so our videographer was more than happy to what the company was more than happy to send us their all footage and I can edit it everywhere I liked which is perfect because sometimes I have seen videos where it's like it looks beautiful but it's just not my style or how I do it so yeah so if you don't like the way they've shot our wedding that's fair enough it's my sort of creative style of videos empty so hopefully don't judge them on that judge them on the shots so yeah okay next I'll go onto the dress the dress the dress okay so I started off with the thought of I want it to sort of be soft but also a bit sexy it's just how I sort of envisioned my wedding dress I didn't want the typical you know like strapless dress with the puffy end or you know the mermaid fished out whatever in the case is right I just wanted my sort of vision to country now I started off by finding a bodysuit I found this bodysuit from home body and it was they had nailed that aesthetic oh sorry I am doing this pretty late at night so forgive me anyway so I they nailed it so I bought that well they actually I was worried that it wasn't gonna be long enough for my torso because I know play suits body suits and all the rest of it are quite short but short on me because I am a tall at all so kind of person so I did ask them I reached out and said look this is what I'm looking to use for my head wedding dresses to be part of my wedding dress and they were more than happy to help they support were able to supply me with a sample size that they had already had and which saved my life because it tended to be a bit it was a bit looser than the pieces of they sell and they were just amazing thank you so much to her body you guys have been little legends ah thank you for a beautiful piece then I took it to a dressmaker my dress makeup did the most amazing jobs ever she was so you wouldn't really think you know in your mind it's sort of like if you were gonna pay more money if you're gonna get what you paid for but she was affordable she was so lovely her attitude was just great she went with everything that I was telling you she also made suggestions about things that I didn't even think of she put something together that I didn't even think would be nailed as well as she executed it she truly did an amazing job and I actually also got her to do my Bridal robe so it's a bit of a like a lacy sexy see-through sort of thing for my boudoir sort of photos the company is called dress making and such the next thing we did was we booked a venue now the first venue we went for three months before the wedding cancelled on us well they didn't even cancel I found out that they sold the property I called them to confirm that the wedding was still going ahead I need to find the app sorry not sorry darling we've sold the property okay anyway ended up finding a property on Airbnb which is hosted by Jay I'll put the details for the property blue look when I say things happen for a reason things happen for a reason that's another thing that I will tell you if something goes wrong any wedding don't see it as a bad thing it wasn't meant to happen that way anyway and you will figure it out and it will end up better than you could have ever imagined our new property that we found was everything that I could have dreamt up I didn't even go check it out myself I said our decorator see what I mean I couldn't do it so they went and did it for us and appreciate it so much so anyway didn't even check it out until the day before because what we did was we stayed three nights just so that we can prepare the day before and rest the day after and that was perfect anyway the day before the weddings when I drove through that driveway I was in tears I went like in world like I was bawling my eyes out like like imagine Kim Kardashian crying face like exact I was in hysterics as to how much I loved the property I couldn't believe I was getting married there and it was in mountain time you know which was always like my childhood dream so worked out better than ever and the host of the property she's so lovely like we're still in contact to this day she's just amazing she went above and beyond to accommodate us and help us out as much as she could can't speak more highly / as you can tell we got pretty lucky with a lot of things we've got really good people surrounding us a lot of support from all our vendors like for example when our venue had to be changed and the date of the wedding had to be changed that was the most dramatic thing genetic traumatic thing that had happened to me within the whole scape of the wedding planning when everyone came together everyone and I'm so thankful for that anyway sorry I can't stop saying things I feel like this is gonna be a thank you video anyway sorry then we also went on to the little details the little details being the heaven all the rest of it so my care was done by Xena here my first hair dresser that I had chosen unfortunately couldn't make it to the new date because she already had another client booked for that date and I didn't even get a hair trial when Xena came in she was the most lovely person I got to know how to explain her other live England she's like a butterfly like she's so light she's like hearted she's she was so lovely made us feel super comfortable and first meet were like laughing and jerky and it was great so on the date she nailed it she nailed the look that I wanted she understood just by looking at a photo exactly what I wanted and she then I chose my makeup artist now of course being into makeup myself it was super important and I got someone that was good and very very good so her name is Tate Taylor she I don't know why did you not ask me but she's not like she doesn't go on Instagram endure look what I can do is I'm a makeup artist and in everything once faces but I only knew she was a makeup artist like I hadn't known her from before I even know that she was makeup artist or she went on to study make them out of Street I only knew because I saw a mutual friend with her makeup done and I'm like oh my god your makeup is amazing who did it and she said Taylor and I was like what I didn't even realize she did makeup so this girl it's like it's a shame that she's not all over that Instagram because I know how much people want to see you know what that person's capable of and how they do their makeup it she's so good at her job she's fantastic and she's affordable and she's lovely she's just adorable human being um anyway so she was my makeup artist and you could see the photos and you can see the judges of my hair and makeup so if you like that anyway or your next event that's you then we found a DJ well we had already found a DJ but same as the hairdresser couldn't make it to the new date when our venue changed so found the new one through I think you got edge half scar or one player or seeking services guys I promise you you won't regret checking those websites out when you are planning your wedding because they have everything they've got everything they just throw into so much everything they'll try to beat prices and match prices and do all the rest of it so definitely check out those websites anyway so I found it was Melbourne interactive entertainment I think anyway details will be somewhere on this screen but I basically said to them I need a DJ pronto for this date and I don't want them to be black you know nothing against older people but you know I wanted a fun vibe young fresh sort of DJ but I didn't want it also to be someone that's immature in wild so they assured me that that they have people that are generally quite sane and I guess our age group are more relatable at age group and sort of had that sort of understanding for the music we liked so anyway booked it in I was just like I haven't even really I don't even know details of this I'm DJ I don't know if he's gonna do a good job or I don't know what was gonna happen right so on the day he went out of his way to come and meet us because we were like getting ready everything he went out of his way before he started his set to come and meet us to come and meet you know the people who are doing the speeches all very well presented dressed lovely brought every single piece of ya that you could possibly need for a DJ like awesome speakers that I think were hanging it just it was amazing it all looked great it sounded fantastic he was a great coach as well because we needed an emcee a DJ that can also emcee a minute introduce people and on the mic and confident like that he was so good like if you've got to hire him if you have an event or party because if we ever need a DJ again he will definitely be the person we don't you his name is Daniel but I mean I'm sure the company has other DJs if that one if like Daniel isn't available but he was so lovely cute as a button just adorable just so nice so definitely shout out to him great job okay so we also saved a lot of money by the way we did food so it canapes we all created the day before on the Friday I had Cole's deliver all the ingredients that we could possibly need for canapes um is that how you pronounce it she can apps canapes I don't know anyway so we made like skewers with what's that bakka cheney was cheap vodka Cheney and Bach and cheese anyway the cheese and like cherry tomatoes and like spinach and drizzled with balsamic vinegar and oil things like that so it was just very easy I also ordered the deli rack platter from Kohl's it wasn't my first time I've done that before and they are amazing you just put it down in the platter I think you get about maybe 40 in a pack and then $35 and they're so nice and everyone loves them and there's different flavors different like things fillings inside them so you just put it on a platter serve it out that was for cocktail hour we also bought our alcohol of course and you should see the bar that we've got now it's basically all the leftover alcohol and we bought way too much than I thought was necessary also for our food for the day like it's a main meal I guess it was all a build your own burger bar and we had these two amazing waiters they were recommended from my sister's partner who used to manage these two guys um what one girl one guy they're brother and sister and I've told them many times start your own business start doing this they are amazing but I think they're doing their anything so fair enough but thank you guys so much for all your help because you guys made the day so easy when the barbecue couldn't stop keeping in mind we had a builder and burger bar so when the butter with her both he didn't start they brought out all the pans and they started cooking all the burger patties I think there was 140 on pans so thank you so much for saving our life and coming through for us like there were so many little things that went went wrong on the day and if I didn't have the support the emotional support and the mental support behind me I would have lost it but you know our celebrant was loved late unfortunately but no one even told me which was great my girls were just pretending that you know it was still we still had time you know continue to get ready until you take photos be distracted all that sort of things so oh my God thank you so much that waiters ah then last but not least I mean I'm sorry if I forgot I knew one other than this I will put your description and link it as much as I can so I'm sorry if I have forgotten anyone but last but not least thank you so so much – Rachael who is my injector she made my face balanced for the day so thank you so much she works at the laser clinics Australia Craigieburn and somewhere else in Greensboro but I will link her Instagram that's how I found her I'll link her Instagram in the section below and then you can you take a look at her work she did my lips she did my frown line it's almost it's almost time for a bit of a half day but she did my current and my not quite my lebens and she's also going to do a bit more work on me but yet she nailed it she looked after me she even offered me you know a complementary LED light therapy just so I don't bruise she went above and beyond she really takes her time with it she doesn't rush through it just it's not about just the money for her you can tell she takes the time on you and it felt so good to be there and she made sure everything was super none before going into it so thank you thank you thank you and everything came together and honestly if I can help you in any way if you have any questions about what we did or how we do there or who we hired or if there's someone that I've minced I'm so sorry but yeah if there's any way that I can help you make your wedding dreams come true I will try my best to do it and enjoy all the links below they will also be an article on my blog so hopefully that helps you too with the hints of pictures and all the details there as well thank you so much for watching I wish you all the best in your wedding planning even if you're planning an event I wish you all all the best [Applause]

★ A bit about me! ★

I’m an Australian currently living in Japan, and loving it! My channel has loads of DIY videos relating to acne and acne scarring, because that is something I have suffered with for many years (and continue to suffer with). I decided to turn my negatives into positives, and share what I’d learned about this skin condition with all of you. So if you’re new to my channel and wondering why there’s so many videos about skin care, that’s why!

These days however, my focus has changed. I was accepted to the JET Programme in 2014, and my new life chapter began! I’m currently living in a semi-rural prefecture, as an ALT at 3 senior high schools. I drive a lot, go out a lot, and enjoy living my life in gorgeous Japan. I’m now kind of a J-Vlogger, showing you my everyday life in my weekly vlogs. But I also want to keep the essence of my original channel purpose, too, so that’s why there are additional weekly videos about skin care, beauty and life in Japan. Hope this clears some things up, and gives all you cutie newbies some info about me too! Thanks for tuning in, and please feel free to message me any time on my various social links. Cheers!

hi everybody and welcome to the first video in a series of two that is all about what is Japan really like today I just got back from three weeks in Japan where we travel all over the country doing incredible things PS I highly recommend the place so this first video is going to deal with the nitty gritty I was talking about the food travel packing and accommodation the second video is going to get into different cities things to do the culture in the people sorry if I'm talking quite fast I have a lot to get through so let's get started so how do you get accommodations in Japan it's easy it's google it honestly if you're heading to a particular city what I would recommend is that you just Google you know accommodation in that city if they're staying there for a week or more you might want to look into hiring an apartment instead of staying in hotels have a look into what the actual apartment or hotel includes does it include Internet does it include breakfast maybe even dinner there are loads and loads of really well priced hotels and different accommodation and something that some people often stea is ryokans as well as two main ways that we found accommodation over there was air B&B and Google Japan is of course famous for their rail system so I do recommend before you go over there that you grab yourself one of these babies it is a Japan Rail Pass now this is a JR pass it will allow you to travel on the Jo line all around the country and in the major cities now depending how long are you going to Japan for this thing ain't cheap this could work out to be over $800 okay so it's a lot of money but trust me it is well worth it you can use this jr pass to pass through all sorts of different cities all over the country and let me tell you what when you're in Tokyo you're going to be encountering loads of different rail systems let me show you okay you can see that there are loads and loads of different rail companies that own loads of different lines even in the one city so that's why these sorts of things are very very useful because then you can travel on the one system all over the city and plus get from one city to a completely different one very very easily but do remember that the main cities often have their preferred method of personal transportation like in Tokyo it's all about the trains you take trains everywhere that's where it's at but you go to Kyoto and it's all about the buses and bike this is the kyoto city bus travel map okay there is method to the mayhem it's a little bit chaotic it can get very confusing and you could possibly get lost but do you remember that a lot of the important signs that you will need to know are still in English even in the audio just listen they've got an a Japanese audio and then straight afterward that's also got a English just keep your eyes peeled in those listening ears listening I feel like such a teacher right now and you'll get to your destination just fine I'm just gonna cover the packing thing very very briefly but what I do recommend is that you pack light oh yeah I went through hell not all the stations have escalators and elevators do pack light do bring a bag that has wheels on a spring only what you need and expect to buy when you're over there now this is one of the big things that I was sort of very nervous about and sort of stumbling over before we even went but it wasn't that bad I was very pleasantly surprised quite a few people do know English it might be a very very little they might sort of only get the point if you're doing all the bodily movements and the hand movements at the same time or pointing to pictures you'll be able to get through it a lot easier if you know you're hiragana katakana and some really basic vocabulary I was saying assuming my sin and I got the COS a mass all the freaking time be polite just polite if you are SuperDuper polite look this country it just it runs on politeness okay so just be polite and you'll be a-okay my people do you think about Japan and they think they're going to get a certain sort of experience if you're after a certain sort of experience research a little hard out about what you really want to experience when you're in Japan cities are very very different like Tokyo is definitely all about the shopping the technology you want to see the more traditional side of Japan hit up Kyoto it is very traditional there are shrines and temples absolutely everywhere so basically just think about what do you want to experience in Japan traditional or modern plan ahead so you can get the most out of this fantastic country is it incredibly expensive some of it is it really depends on what you want to do what you want to experience you could probably save up a couple of grand and head over there and do some fantastic shopping but you could go over there with you know maybe five hundred to a thousand dollars and still have a pretty good time it really depends on how long that you're staying there and if you've already pre paid for your accommodation and that's sort of a thing conversion rates between the countries varies a lot you know I can't say to you when is a good time to buy because it's impossible to find out but generally this is what I went off 100 Japanese yen is equal to about one Australian dollar so their money does look a little bit different of course this is a five yen piece this is 10 yen this is obviously a 50 yen piece that's you're a hundred yen and the other one that I don't have here is a 500 yen piece 500 yen is actually about five dollars that's is why it can be easy to spend your money because you'll see all this coin each and your person you'll be like oh you know I've got heaps of you know it doesn't cost me anything it can add up can you use the credit cards over there yes you can but not everywhere a lot of places don't accept credit cards except for the major department stores and major tourist destinations so more you might want to do is take out a big chunk of money take it to a currency converter in your country then when you go overseas you've got that money it's all set ready to go then when you're over there you can maybe get out money once or twice when you're over there but do keep in mind that your banks often charge not only a percentage but also a fee for you to take out money when you're overseas food is everywhere in Japan and it is delicious okay the Japanese they're you know they're a bit of a perfectionist Society so a lot of that food is just so top-notch this is something that you might want to think about budgeting for though because well depending on how long you're saying that I know I keep on saying that but it really does depend on how long you're staying there if you're in an apartment for example you might have your own little kitchen or a gas cooktop or something like that so think about going to your local supermarket there in Japan and getting out all sorts of different food to make at home it can be a lot cheaper and a lot of fun or you can stick to the noodle bars but noodle bars you probably get a good meal and a drink for around ten dollars ten to twelve dollars if you even go into restaurants and that sort of a thing I know we went to an Italian restaurant when we're in Kyoto and we're able to get the lunch set so that was about three different entrees and main meal and a drink and that cost around $22 it's not that expensive I think it's just really expensive when you start going to those fancy-schmancy places that sell the really top-notch Japanese traditional foods so if you're trying to save a little bit of money when you're over there please do hit up your supermarkets and also your convenience stores because you can often get really good quality meals for very cheap supermarkets like any supermarket I suppose they put that fresh food that they've just made on sale at the end of the day just try and get rid of it but it is just so good and very very cheap sometimes there's like twenty thirty forty percent off some incredible meals and convenience stores you know you can get your chicken and rice and all the rest of it there and they'll even microwave it for you in the shop one of the things people often want to check out when they're in Japan especially in Tokyo is maybe some themed restaurants these are the sorts of things which may be a little bit steep but there could be quite a fun experience I know we went to a maid cafe that was top-notch I was amazing but it not only costs you for the food it costs you for the experience I think it was about ten dollars for us to spend an hour there and now we had to buy a meal and a drink as well so you could go the traditional route in Japan and eat all the sushi sea cucumber eel sea urchin it wasn't quite my cup of tea so I avoided that as much as possible but you can do that if you want quite a few touristy places also sell their own you know food things that are specific to them like when we went to Miyajima and they had these tiny little maple cakes there that had their own filling in them they were delicious and I ate way too many of them oh my god but just to let you know anybody out there who is gluten intolerant vegan or vegetarian you're going to be way out of luck I'm sorry in Japan because unless you know how to say can I have vegetarian or vegan or I'm gluten intolerant unless you know how to properly say those things and actually have a conversation with your waiter or anybody there about having a different sort of meal you're just going to live on rice that's it we went to an economy hockey place in Tokyo and every single okonomiyaki that we could have had there had pork every single one of them except for one which said was vegetarian but it still had salmon that's what it's like over there they eat everything and meat is in pretty much everything so yeah unless you know how to say to your waiter I can't eat this thing can I have something else you're out of luck the last thing I want to talk about on this video is shopping now one of the big questions is is it expensive yes and no it really comes down to what you're buying and what your budget is like the thing is it can be easy to shop around while you're on a budget there are hundred yen shops which sell loads and loads of wonderful little goodies for very very cheap and they can be fantastic little things to bring back to your family and friends if you're after more traditional things Kyoto is fantastic for that because they have so many temples and shrines and all those places sell wonderful little traditional goodies if you have some more modern things and technology hit up Tokyo that is a V place to be Akihabara is electric town that's where you want to go for all your your technology and gaming needs Shibuya has the ten nine stores there and is fantastic for clothing Harajuku is also fantastic for clothing and knickknacks and all that sort of a thing but it is a little bit younger depending when you're going as well we were in Tokyo just after New Year's and that's when they had their 7 day sale so that started from about that second and a went right through and though that was brilliant for buying clothes so depending on what you're after can it be cheap yes totally it can be very inexpensive to buy things in Japan but if you're looking to buy some really nice silk kimonos and all the rest of the really traditional gear or even technology it can be very expensive so thank you for tuning in for part 1 part 2 is going to go over things like culture the people and what's really like to be in Japan leave me in the comments down below about anything that you want to know more about have I missed something here just let me know put a comment down there and I will get back to you like you're all flippin fabulous and I will talk to you later bye

welcome to the green apple home here is the loot there are six shirts and five pairs of pants at Target the total if you can see I don't know was 108 47 but I think I can do better if I can find her size at a yard sale or a thrift store or something usually I like to go yard selling because it's cheaper than even then like a goodwill or a thrift store I'll have the clothes if I don't find anything really in her size but so far I've been pretty successful in this area of finding really super cheap clothes in great conditions if you buy something and they're not quite using it yet just hold on to the receipt don't wash it or anything don't just send up everything off and wash it and do it unless you're not planning on going out you're exhaling or anything why spend the money if you can find it somewhere cheaper just as good it just makes sense my wife just wins yard saleing and she was supposed to get some clothes for Moo we'll see what she got who knows what she came up with if I came up some kind of weird Wien back chair that she wants to reupholster or something but anyway let's find out what yet hey would you get things that work I got a few things that were the list you had the list that's in her head who knows what that is maybe just a jacket let me show you what I got sure it's just stuff that I didn't get but they were just so cute through galvanized buckets and then okay but I scored like I got I got DD winter coats nice let me show you what I got and I got this pile for 15 and this pile think was four so it's been under $20 on all of this I can probably take back some of the clothes maybe if I did do a lot like see you there nice drill Nucky I really raked it in fine clothing so my mission today on the yard sale was to get clothes for boots so if you want to save money this is the way to go yard saleing we're going to take back these and the only reason why I can do this is because I didn't take off the tags yet there is a man genius my wife is a genius
