Hello friends, this is Youheum. Today I'll be sharing my extreme minimalist habits. I'm able to create this video through the sponsorship of Squarespace. If you want to focus on being productive with your website, e-commerce, or blog, Squarespace is the all-in-one platform to build your online creative project. I try my best to remove distracting labels on bottles and clothing tags. I also prefer clothing without branded marks. This is simply my own preference because I sometimes feel that these things can be too stimulating as an HSP (Highly Sensitive Person) I accept that everyone's approach to minimalism is very different. So feel free to do what nourishes your mind, body, and spirit. If keeping labels help you, I'm happy that you stick with what works for you. I used to let things pile up until the end of the month and now I focus on putting things back where it belongs right after I use it this way. I can increase my focus with fewer distractions in my environment because I get easily overwhelmed by clutter and distractions. I am happy to embrace the therapeutic value of minimalism. I enjoy the kind of peace and calm simple brings me. It's very different from where I was in the past and it is good to arrive in this present moment. I commit to household duties whenever I can. I find it easier to clean regularly as much as possible instead of doing massive cleaning for hours at the end of the month or at the end of the year. So I get in the habit of tackling things bit by bit. This approach allows me to take things slow without rushing or procrastinating which I used to do. I rarely shop but when I do, I stay mindful and intentional. I take into consideration my budget, the quality of the product, ease-of-use, and sustainability. But I'm aware that I can not always be perfect with my eco-friendly practices. It's important for me to get something that's going to last a long time so that I don't have to create additional waste. I also try to DIY and make things at home to keep my consumption minimal as much as possible. Also, feel free to let me know what you love making at home. And do you have any minimalist habits of your own? Feel free to share in the comments below. When I feel stuck in my journey I always reflect back on my feelings and emotions. So I meditate, pray, practice EFT, and The Healing Code for self-awareness. I value minimalism because it allows me to also go through emotional decluttering. I use it to let go of destructive and negative thoughts that come up. The easiest way to say NO to temptation like shopping in consumption is to be aware of my own feelings. I focus on healing the guilt, shame, and the resistance I have about saying NO to others. When I use time efficiently I can overcome the feeling of not having enough time and resources. And by keeping track of my time, I can be aware of what I want to do and what I am capable of doing within that day. So I manage my time in order to do things with ease and to avoid rushing through the process. I believe the pathway to success is in my willingness to surrender and learn from others with humbleness. I used to try to do everything on my own because I didn't want to admit my imperfections. Now I find value in taking courses, reading books, seeking help from the community, and listening to what others have to say. I know that it's difficult to commit to life changes all in one go so I focus on taking small steps, planning my goals mindfully, and managing my time with ease. I try to focus on doing my best in the present moment without forcing too much responsibility on myself. That's why it's important for me to manage my time wisely and to ask for help when needed. I value ease and comfort. I focus on productivity but not in a way that makes me feel burnt-out or exhausted. I can avoid exhaustion when I manage my time, energy, and money wisely through the right resources. Also, if you are a creative soul like me I know that it can feel tiring to do everything and that's why I use tools like Squarespace for ease. Squarespace allows me to schedule posts and design my pages with easy to use tools. I truly value this because I don't have to sacrifice my energy to keep up with my creative project. I recommend going to www.squarespace.com for a free trial and also feel free to take advantage of my 10% off offer for your first website or domain launch when you visit www.squarespace.com/healyourliving I enjoy keeping up with my habits because it's all about continual improvement through the process and unfolding of the practice. I hope you find this useful in some way. If you enjoyed this video, please like and subscribe to my channel. Thanks again for being here my friends and I hope to see you again soon.

HEY FAM! Welcome to my channel! My name is Kim. I am a wife to an amazing man and a mama to two awesome boys. If you need motivation on the keto lifestyle, clutter-free living, cooking, grocery shopping, meal planning, meal prepping, saving and making money, you are in the right place. Did I mention, I love to make my self-care, family, budgeting, debt-free and intentional living a priority? On this channel, I share what has worked for us. I hope to inspire, encourage, and learn and make room for what matters most. Come a long and join me on this journey!
hey friends it's Kim here welcome back to the channel and welcome back to another video in the making room for what matters most minimalism series that's a mouthful where we explore practical minimalism ideas and how to cut the clutter to make room for what matters most in your life and today I'm just doing a quick video with five random things I do not own and I want to know five random things you do not own it's really interesting to think about the things you don't own and it really gets you thinking like hmm what are some things I don't own and I love reading what other people don't own cuz it really gets me thinking about maybe something I can get rid of something I don't need so yeah drop a comment let me know what you do not own that maybe other people might own or might think is a little bit nuts or crazy none of these are really extreme or crazy but I just thought I'd share with you a couple of things to get you thinking about are these things you own are these things you find value in so let's get started the first thing I do not own are diamonds I did a very I have a very old video on this topic you can dig it up by searching free to family diamonds but I don't own any genuine diamonds these are not real these are just cubic I'm not wearing my wedding ring right now about my Pandora wedding ring it's getting cleaned right now it's just cubic zirconia I've lost my first wedding ring was so a Barsky crystal so I'm really big into crystal I don't wear diamonds for a multitude of reasons one I don't like the marketing gimmick behind it I think it's just overvalued for something that isn't in my opinion worth that much and it's not a value to me we took the money we would have spent with buying a diamond ring and invested it into real estate and that's the only way we were able to really start a life for ourselves because we both come from nothing and had nothing and I didn't have anything handed to me so I wasn't about to have a ring that I knew was real but no one else could tell cuz honestly my first wedding ring as well as the one I wear now I get so many compliments on and people assume it's real they don't even ask is it real they just assume it is and when I say real like that's not even a term I really like to use it's real it's just not diamond so I don't buy diamonds do you buy diamonds let me know in the comments below again you can check out that video well I'll find it and link it up here the second thing I do not own are uncomfortable shoes I am over the days where I screwed up my feet cuz your girl screwed up her feet and she's not even that old I'm older but I'm not that old and I messed up my feet by wearing I'm just gonna say it I know you don't want to hear it but high heels and shoes that were too tight for me and I now have really messed up fie I wear orthopedic arches that I had to pay a ton of money for it's almost like someone telling you don't smoke don't wear uncomfortable shoes please for the majority of the time if you can wear comfortable shoes shoes with supports your shoes with arches I know you don't want to look like a grandma 25 but if I would have known I would have done better right it's kind of like the whole facial massage and essential oil thing that I've been doing for years I wish I would have known back then well thank God I knew about that but my feet are tone up from the floor up girl they are bad like I seriously have to wear granny shoes whatever I can't wear uncomfortable shoes anymore so I do not buy them and I live mostly in sneakers with orthopedic and this is not supposed to be a negative video but in any case I don't buy uncomfortable shoes the next thing I don't buy is a coffee maker the next thing I don't own sorry is a coffee maker I haven't had a coffee maker in years I have my Malita pour over and I do a lot of instant stories showing you guys how to use that I love it it makes me one cup at a time and I can make a cup at any given time and it doesn't have to it's always fresh it doesn't ever feel like the coffee is burnt and I don't have to feel obligated to drink the whole pot I'm the only one that drinks coffee my family so it works for me you can find that on my in my Amazon store it's super cheap you just it just you just kind of put it over a cup pour hot water and the grinds let them bloom in the coffee filters through its really great super cheap super simple but again I always get to have a fresh cup of coffee whenever I make it so I love that about it and it's nice and hot okay the next thing I do not own this is pretty common don't laugh at me but I don't own a home phone but I haven't owned a home phone in like over 10 years as soon as I started using a cell phone I pretty much got rid of my home phone I think I didn't have a home phone before a lot of people might even more than 10 years ago I don't even know if my kids actually they don't I showed them a home phone one time they didn't know what it was it's kind of laughable leave a comment below if you have a home phone I almost want to get one just so they can see what it looks like so they can laugh and we can have funny conversations about it because they they wouldn't know how to use it especially I mean especially a rotary phone but even just the cordless ones with the buttons I know where's the screen where is the home button it's not touch sensitive no you have to press the button it's funny having kids so I almost want to get a home phone now just to see how they would react anyway I digress okay the last thing I do not own is a is something kind of to me kind of grody but I've had them before I just don't have them I do have a dry brush but I do not have a loofah now let me explain I dry brush my skin in the bathtub with the brush when it's when I'm dry and when my skin is dry I dry brush upwards my skin getting off dead skin but I just use either my hands or a washcloth I don't use a loofah I just don't like the way they feel and I don't like that they're a breeding ground for bacteria not that this is a big deal but even those poofy like nylon ones from the Dollar Tree I don't have those I bought them a couple times for my kids but they just they just sit and they stay wet and I don't like that so I don't want any loofas I don't want any you know scrubbers we just use washcloths and we put them in the in the washing machine when we're done we don't really let we let our towels dry but we don't let our washcloths dry we just have enough to be able to wash ourselves the whole family for a whole week alright guys those are some things I do not own what are some things you do not own that maybe are weird are different or just something that you'd like to share so that we can get ideas and maybe some things we can cut out of our lives I just wanted to do this video to kind of get you thinking about some things that maybe aren't necessary or things that just don't ring true with your values and things you just don't spend money on alright guys let me know in the comments below again if you like videos like this give it a thumbs up subscribe if you're new and I'll see you in the next one bye guys you

I started minimalism 5 years ago and now I'm an Extreme Minimalist and some things that I was able to let go of are furniture, travel luggage, and my book collection. And at the end of this video, I will announce a giveaway. Hello friends, this is Youheum. Thanks for being here! You probably know that I practice Furniture-free living. Not having furniture allows me to live more simply and I'm able to invite more nourishing movement into my life. I also don't own any printed books. I've gone mostly paperless in my life and instead, I use my ebook reader. Which I take everywhere when I'm traveling. I also have the option to go to the library. I sometimes do but I personally prefer the convenience of an e-book reader. I let go of my earphone and headphone a few years ago mainly because I don't listen to music outside. I prefer to have fewer distractions and I like to be in the present moment. I just use my phone or my computer speaker for listening to audio indoors. The only paper I have right now is my checkbook, citizenship records, and some paperwork. I'm also a freelance Illustrator, so I have a notebook that I use for sketching and just putting down some ideas. I do receive printed materials from my clients and I recently worked with Origin magazine and Yoga Journal Korea. But I usually give it away after I have read it and enjoyed it myself. I usually donate it or give it to a friend. I use a refillable fountain pen instead of a disposable pen. This way, I can align with my intention to be Zero-waste. I also don't own any printed photographs except my favorite framed photo of my Mindfulness teacher Thich Nhat Hanh. I let go of a lot of my art and craft supplies. I use my tablet to do my digital illustrations and I also own a few crochet hooks for my DIY projects. Also, be sure to let me know what hobbies you have and what you use to sustain that hobby. I used to stuff so many things inside my bag but now I keep my everyday carry very simple. I just take my wallet, keys, phone, sunglasses and sometimes my water bottle. I do like to keep my digital devices clutter-free, so my phone apps are in one folder and I don't turn on notifications except for texts and calls. This way, I can use my phone productively without being distracted and I'll do a video on digital Minimalism in the future if you want. I replaced my wall clock several years ago with a simple wristwatch and I just use my phone. I will do a video on how I pack minimally for my trips in the future. I fit everything in this backpack. Now I have a total of 15 clothing. If you want to know more about my capsule wardrobe, you can check out my wardrobe tour. Within 5 years of practicing Minimalism, I downsized to the current amount. I no longer buy or wear contact lenses. I just have one eyeglass and one prescription sunglasses. Now I own two pair of shoes, I think I had about 40 to 50 shoes before I made the transition. I do not own a vacuum cleaner. I clean my house every Sunday with a dustpan and with a homemade cleaner and a simple recycled rag. It's pretty easy when me and my sister do it together. It doesn't take that long. I do practice Zero-waste and Plastic-free wherever I can so I don't use single-use kitchenware. Instead, I use my bamboo utensils, reusable straw, linen napkins, and my cotton produce baggie. I also stopped taking over-the-counter drugs. I use holistic remedies and plant-based medicine and I'm happy that these remedies are really compatible with my body. I also let go of caffeinated beverages and alcohol. Instead, I drink herbal tea that doesn't trigger my anxiety. My current favorite is my dandelion root tea, which is kind of like a substitute for coffee. Drinking tea allows me to invite peace and calm into my life. It feels very soothing and relaxing. I do not have a trash can in my bathroom because my bathroom is mostly Zero-waste. I let go of many of the single-use products. I shower sitting down using my shower hose. It feels easy for me to do this because I'm used to it. I use a bar of soap for everything and I use it for washing my hair, body, and face. I don't buy disposable pads or tampons every cycle. This way, I can reduce my waste. I let go of most of my makeup. But I rarely wear makeup nowadays and I just like to keep it simple and natural. I don't shave anymore. So I don't own a razor. But if you're interested, you can use a Plastic-free refillable razor, which I will link in the descriptions below. I also let go of my hairdryer. I dry my hair naturally and I just use a linen towel to remove most of the water. Some of you already know that I use a Scrubba bag to wash my clothes by hand. So I teamed up with Scrubba to giveaway two Scrubba bags. It will be packed in Plastic-free packaging. If you want to join and know more about it, you can go to the community section of my channel. I hope you get the chance to enjoy being mindful through the process of caring for your precious clothes and belongings. If you want to know what is the most Eco-friendly way to get rid of things, feel free to download the Minimalist checklist which includes all of that and you can find it in the descriptions below. Thanks for joining me today. And I also want to add that it's never really about the number of things that I own and it's not really about reaching certain goals and a striving for perfection in Minimalism and decluttering. It's all to do with the process including being mindful and really listening to my own needs throughout the process. So I hope that you find Mindfulness, peace, and calm throughout your journey. I am here to be helpful for you and to be available for you. If you need help and insights, please let me know and share your story with me. If you enjoyed this video please give it thumbs up and subscribe to my channel. Thanks again for being here and I hope to see you again soon

#extrememinimalism #spiritualminimalist #minimalistselfcare
Hello friends, this is Youheum. Today I'll be sharing my 12 self-care tools for nourishment and healing. I enjoy connecting with the natural world by appreciating this precious Earth and its resources. I've always been attracted to mountains, trails, and wherever nature is and I love embracing my Korean roots by practicing 산림욕, which is the art of forest bathing. Also, be sure to share with me how you practice self-care in the comments below. Earthing is the practice of barefoot walking and I've been inspired by Katie Bowman to invite more Nutritious Movements since last year. I also wear zero-drop barefoot shoes for alignment, which I will talk more about in a video on minimalist shoes. I used to wear uncomfortable heels and constricting shoes for many years. Now it feels good to wear what I want with confidence, without craving the acceptance of others. I've experienced more emotional stability and peace after practicing breathing techniques. Which includes Holotropic breathing, Alternate breathing, and my favorite which is the 4-7-8 technique. Mindful breathing allows me to be more in the present moment. And it helps me better cope with anxious feelings. I often held my breath and looked tense when I was overwhelmed I was ashamed of this. But I realized that I am just a highly sensitive person who needs time to recover from stimulation. If you're also a HSP, please give me a shout out in the comments! For me, mindful learning is nourishing the mind with the work of my teachers. Since I don't own physical books, I simply use my ebook reader. I know that some of you wanted a reading list so I included it in my most recent downloadable ebook. I don't practice dry brushing often but when I do, I enjoy the process very much and I recently learned that I'm actually supposed to brush towards the heart. I feel much more relaxed and at peace after a session and I think that Boru, my cat is also attracted by the calm energy so she often joins me. If you joined me on my journey already, you probably know that I don't have much of a beauty routine. I simply enjoy my natural self without relying too much on skincare or hair products. I've been learning from the teachings of Medical Medium for a few years and he has opened the path of physical healing for me. I want to remind you that it's okay that we live a different lifestyle. I accept you no matter what you choose to do. I simply enjoy using holistic methods to heal my mind and body. So I drink celery juice every morning and I also take plant-based supplements. I practice self-care as an expression of self love and compassion. When I support myself unconditionally through nourishment, I can offer the same to those around me. So I cultivate joy not only for myself, but for all living beings. I recently received this powdered wheatgrass to share on my videos and it's much easier than growing my own sprouts from my tray. It's nutritionally dense and helps with my liver detox at the moment. I'm using it for my green smoothies and I will share the link if you're interested. I'm compiling some raw vegan recipes to share in the future. Some of you asked for it after watching my Instagram stories, so I am excited to share more with you. I've been practicing yoga more consistently nowadays, and I don't really focus too much on the perfection of my form but more so on my breathing and the sensations that I am feeling. So I try to stay mindful even through pain, stiffness, or achiness. If you want to join me for my mindful morning routine, feel free to check out my video. Also, be sure to share your self-care routine photo by tagging #healyourliving. I would love to know how your journey is unfolding right now. I started meditating five years ago. But I was not able to focus in the beginning. It took me few years to really be aware of my breath and posture. I do not strive for perfection in my journey, even now. I will also do a whole video on self-awareness in the future. So let me know if you have any questions on that. I know that some people are ready to jump into self-care and self-development but might feel overwhelmed with where to start. So I hope that I can share more insights with all of you. I am here for you my friends. EFT allowed me to explore my negative emotions, and it allowed me to embrace my shadows. I will share the benefit and the workings in my upcoming course and eBooks if you want to know more. So feel free to join the community for newsletter updates if you want a head start. I recommend Brad Yates channel for more. I use The Healing Code to heal through the energy centers. I usually light up a candle to create a calming space and I've been using Herland Home's Vegan candle for a while. I received this as a gift and it's mainly made of essential oil coconut oil and a hemp wick. The scent is not artificial and its natural and very soothing. I've been committing to the healing code for a few years after learning from the teachings of Alex Lloyd. I used to not believe in the power of holistic healing and spiritual nourishment. But now I completely embrace it and if it doesn't work for you or it's not part of your unfolding, That's okay too. I try to keep up with my morning prayers and I recite affirmations daily when I meditate and practice EFT. I visit the altar and send a lotus flower prayer to my mindfulness teacher Thich Nhat Hanh, I do this to connect with the divine being and my divine self. If you want more I will link the Affirmation and Meditation Kit which includes my guided meditation audios and other healing tools. I'm grateful that you allowed me to share what works for me. Thanks again for being here and I hope to see you again soon.
