hey guys sitting and chatting about my Walt Disney World budget worksheet it's a free planning tool all created for you and I'm going to take a quick moment here to walk you through it so that you have an idea on how it works if we haven't met before I'm Alma and I hope customize and create Disney vacations for guests that are crafted to each individual family group couple or solo trip based on personal needs and budget if you're interested in having your own personal Disney Vacation Planner I'd love to chat with you my services are always free a little disclaimer here before we get started one the prices are in u.s. dollars Rory my fellow Canadian friends with the fluctuating dollar it's difficult to keep the rates updated to this budget worksheet is only a helpful planning tool so that you have a realistic budget in mind and in no way an official travel quote please contact your friendly Disney travel planner for an official quote if you have any questions please don't hesitate contact me I have included my contact information in the video notes below now let's get started on this main page you'll see a breakdown of all of the costs at the bottom you can see the different sections which you can click through budget which is the page that were on resorts porches a list of resort choices daily rate which shows you the daily rate for each Resort Hotel you can see the dates this about down the side and the hotels is that all along the top dining which shows you the daily rate for dining tickets and that shows you the average daily rate for per ticket choice and you see that the ticket price goes down the longer your stay and then we have parking which gives you the daily hotel rate for parking if you choose to drive or rent a car okay so let's go back to the main page and I'll show you how to fill the worksheet up I usually start by entering the total budget amount that you would like to work with and then we can pop down and start entering in your expenses your expenses start here on line 14 in the sample budget I based it on to adults for a seven-night stay so in line 14 you can see here it's a drop-down menu and you can choose your resort of choice here I put these guys at Disney pop century resort now let's figure out your average price per night so if you click over to the daily rate tab and choose your dates let's say you want to travel me first checking out May 8 and staying at pop century show us the resorts along the top here pop century is my first column so I go down to May first and then you can actually just highlight from May 1st to May 7th because it's her night stay and you'll see at the bottom here it gives us an average daily rate it shows the number of nights and then we can pop back over to our budget worksheet and enter in our sending lights and the cost per night was 1 1 571 and then it's going to give us our total amount here next we enter in our resort tax there's only any one resort tax and over here you'll see my note it says 13.5% at all star resorts otherwise it's 12.5% so the tax on Disney sports entry it's roughly 5% which gave us one point four eight seven next we're moving on to park tickets and this is also a drop down menu so you can select what type of cook tickets you want these ones are going to be set to one park per day then you go over to your ticket tab and you're gonna have to do a little bit of math here for this one we are doing one park per day for seven days and you'll see that the 7-day price is sixty two dollars and you multiply that by two people which gives us one hundred twenty four dollars and we hop back over to our budget and we go here and we're doing seven days 124 dollars and it gives us our total amount moving along and we do a similar thing for the Dining Plan there's a jump down menu can choose which dining plan you want and we pop over to the dining table and figure out how much it's gonna cost for dining so a little bit of math here as well and we have our sample here says a Disney quick-service Dining Plan which is fifty to fifty per adult per day so when you multiply that by two and it's giving us 105 dollars per day we just pop it in our seven days hundred five dollars and it'll give us our total amount and then you will see some other options under the expenses tab the memory maker this one is 169 if you buy it before your trip it is 199 park then you have your options for travel if you're flying driving parking car rentals so this is your whole transportation section we fill in the information just as we did above and then you have additional lines to put in your budget for your souvenirs and gifts for your purchase food and drinks there's also a column for special event tickets like Mickey's not-so-scary Halloween party Mickey's very Merry Christmas party early hours events or VIP tours so you can pop that all in there and that's it well there you have it I hope you find this budget worksheet helpful if you think that something else should be included please comment your request below thank you for taking the time to watch this tutorial and have a magical

from walking investments to wasted dollars there are definitely some Disney money-saving tips that you hear all the time that can absolutely backfire on you so here on DFP guide today we're gonna help you avoid that peril here we go hey everybody it's AJ from Disney food blog and we have money-saving tips for you all the time here on DFB guide but remember there are some sneaky ways that those tips can fail you if you're not implementing them correctly so we wanted to make sure you guys had all the news and updates you need to make sure that your investments are working for you when it comes to saving Disney dollars first up the Disney Dining Plan now this is a way to prepay for your food in Walt Disney World and you add it on to one of your Disney room stays or packages and the idea of having all your meals prepaid before your trip can be a huge weight off of your shoulders you don't have to worry about pulling out your wallet all the time and you can just relax once you get there but this one's difficult remember Disney is not going to push a deal like this unless they know they're going to profit from it so you're definitely going to want to crunch those numbers this is not a guaranteed money-saving choice because sometimes the Disney Dining Plan will actually end up costing you more than if you paid for your food out of pocket so there's several ways that this can happen one of the most common ways is that the Disney Dining Plan may not be the best deal for vegetarians or Lite eaters so vegetarian entrees are typically going to be cheaper than the meat based items on the menu and you can bet Disney is using the average entree price to work out how much the Disney Dining Plan costs yep they are going to see how much the average person eats in Disney World they have all of that data and they're going to up it they're going to make you pay for the Disney Dining Plan a higher level than what the average person is going to eat so that they're going to make more money that's just how business works so unless you're ready to eat all of that food that's on the Disney Dining Plan it may not be the best deal for you plus portions are huge in Disney World and the standard Disney Dining Plan includes dessert with your table service meals along with a specialty beverage so if you don't often order dessert or a glass of wine or alcohol with dinner or your counter service lunch then you're gonna be leaving money on the table unless you're ordering those really expensive entrees and using every last snap credit with some great valued snacks so there's lots of ways to lose money on the Disney Dining Plan Disney make sure of that so our D F bi to Walt Disney World dining as you guys know has some great sample price breakdowns with estimated costs for each meal for a family of four for a week trip that can really help you decide if the Disney Dining Plan is going to suit your family or if maybe you're gonna be spending too much for the Dining Plan and instead want to pay out of pocket so if you do decide that the Disney Dining Plan is too much food for your family and you probably won't spend that much if you pay for your food out of pocket you can use other discounts to save money on food there are restaurant LT programs and affinity group discounts that offers some great money-saving options and bringing your own snacks having a light breakfast in the room and other tips that we've offered here on D F be guided in the DFB guide to Walt Disney World dining eBook will really really help out when you're trying to save some cash on your dining okay so let's take Disney Dining Plan one step further and talk about the free dining offer now this is an offer that Disney puts out about once a year where you can get a free dining plan with your room and tickets Disney World package so we often say that free dining is usually a good deal which for us it usually is but you've still got to crunch those numbers because this money saving tip can also backfire you will end up paying full price for your room don't forget that so when you're crunching those numbers remember that you're not gonna get any annual pass holder discounts or any of the other discounts that Disney is running right now on hotel room deals also that package is going to require you to purchase a park hopper ticket and if you aren't already planning on getting Park hoppers or if you have an annual pass already then the free dining money-saving may not balance out for you and remember room only discounts can be a better deal even if free dining is offered so oftentimes during the slower season january/february also when free dining was offered in 2019 and when it's being offered for UK residents in 2020 you can score some really great room only discounts up to 35 or 40% off at some deluxe resorts so check those room only discounts make sure that those are not going to give your family a better deal than a free dining discount which includes full rack rate room and park hopper tickets for everybody in the room you want to make sure that room only discount isn't gonna be a better deal for you now other packages that look great on the front may not be so great when you look into them so other special room offers sometimes require preferred room locations and those costs can add up for example there's a summer quick service special right now that requires a preferred room but the deal may not be worth it for one quick service meal per day if that preferred room is gonna cost you more than a regular hotel room would if you weren't on the package or if there's only one person in the room now here's another little room issue that you're gonna have to watch out for if you decide to wait to book your vacation for free dining or room discounts to be released you might miss out on the room you really wanted or the deal never comes around Disney's pretty unpredictable these days with galaxy's edge a whole bunch of new rides opening you never really know when they're gonna release those deals even if historically they've released them on a specific date so if you're hoping for a free dining deal know that they release deals about four to six months ahead of when the stay window opens so you might want to book that room you really want and then wait to hear about the package deals once you hear about the package deals you can always cancel and rebook or apply the new discount to the room you've already booked so go ahead and book a room ahead of time get the one you want and then see if you're able to apply the discount to that package all right next money saving tip that can backfire is splitting your meals so if you're paying out of pocket and looking at prices it might be tempting to split meals and we often recommend doing this as something that can save you money and still fill up your family but be sure that the portions are large enough there's no point in splitting if your crew is hungry two hours later you know on DFB disney food blog we always put pictures of the food so you can see how large the portions are and if you have some adults who are light eaters in your group try ordering a kid's meal from quick service locations these are smaller portions and prices plus the with a drink and usually a side dish as well now if you're traveling with some super hungry kids and using the Disney Dining Plan the kids and adults quick services are the same which means kiddos can order items from the adult menu and get a much larger portion or split it between two kids and get double the credits now some things are totally splittable and sharing is definitely encouraged like the pizzas at via Napoli those are $29 to $45 for a large or Metzl Metro Pizza that can serve up to four people the plaza loaded fries at Plaza restaurant are nine dollars and they're huge and kitchen sink Sunday at beaches and cream this is 34 dollars right now and serves four so those are some good ideas of things to split that actually break down to cost a little less when you split them and also here's another tip you need to know you can split meals at any quick-service restaurant no problem because they're not gonna follow you to your table and see if you're splitting it or not and it's also no problem for an adult to order off the kids menu add a quick service restaurant but remember that at table service restaurants this tip can backfire some table service cast members will either not allow you to split a table service meal or may charge you extra for splitting a table service meal so it may not be just the cost of the table service meal Disney doesn't really have an official policy that we've seen on table service meal splitting so it really is up to the cast member in the manager at that resort and remember if you are at an all-you-can-eat restaurant or a buffet you absolutely cannot split one purchase between two people if two people are dining there two people will be charged it is worth noting that kids two and under can share at an all-you-can-eat restaurant or buffet essentially they can eat off your plate at those locations but they get a drink as well so don't worry about adding them to the Disney Dining Plan if you get it but do add them to your dining reservation so you'll get seated at the correct sized table and they get that drink all right the next money saving tip that can backfire is the free water tip okay so we're always telling you here on DFB about the free water around the park don't spend crazy high water bottle prices and definitely don't use your snack credits on water bottles but you also might want to know that some of those free water stations in the parks can taste pretty bad Florida water Orlando water specifically sometimes has a weird flavor to it that some folks don't like so little tip to make this one not backfire some folks here on our team bring water flavoring with them which is definitely still cheaper than buying a bottle of water on property but if you're trying to save some cash you don't want to drink flavored water all day consider ordering groceries to your resort now you can order water bottles ahead of time and have them delivered to your resort by using several of the grocery delivery services just know that a $6 per box feet can apply to some deliveries at your hotel so be sure to call concierge or talk to your front desk to see what costs may apply to getting that delivered but still 24 bottles of water even with a 6 dollar box fee is still gonna cost you a lot less than 24 bottles of water in the Disney parks also another great tip if you use specific grocery delivery services like Amazon fresh or garden grocer or shipped those services have a set delivery window and they're dropped at bail services who will refrigerate the items that need to be refrigerated and frozen so if you order from one of those grocery delivery services there's no box feed they'll just go ahead and store that stuff until you call them to bring it up to your room but please be sure to tip your Bell services person they really go to a lot of effort to make sure that refrigerated and frozen items are held appropriately and there's really no cost for that so we definitely try to tip significantly because we know that a lot of effort goes into that all right the next money saving tip that can backfire is buying souvenirs ahead of time it can be a great idea to buy souvenirs ahead of time for those little ones directly from the Disney Store or from discount Disney outlets where you'll find some of the same items that are sold in the parks and the best part you can get a discount on those things Disney Store calm is off and running big sales on parks Pacific merchandise so just pack it in your suitcase and pull it out when you arrive but kids are still going to request pricey and Park souvenirs when you're there so you'll likely end up spending to get those so either let the little ones know that you have your souvenirs with you and they can get them at specific times when they're in the parks or let them know that they have a budget $10 $15 whatever you want to make it for them to spend when they're in the parks and all other souvenirs are gonna be ones that were pre-purchased now luckily there are some inexpensive options you can steer kids toward like pressed pennies or smaller stuffed animals but be ready for them to ask for the three hundred and fifty dollar playsets or a two hundred dollar lightsaber and speak with them ahead of time about whether or not those are in your budgets and the last thing we want to talk about some Disney money-saving options that may backfire on you our Disney investments things like annual passes Disney Vacation Club our tables in Wonderland and honestly if we're gonna take this out to its extreme even the popcorn buckets in the parks now these can all be a good investment if you use them and there's plenty of great discounts and perks but only if you take advantage of that you really need to crunch those numbers to be sure you're going to use the investment because remember you could be investing that money and something else that will grow your dollars faster this is particularly the case with Disney Vacation Club now let's talk about annual passes specifically here the recent annual pass price hike means you need to visit the parks even more to break-even but if you're a local or semi local or even if you're planning to trips within a year of each other you might be able to save using an annual pass rather than regular park tickets so this also might mean you might be able to save a little bit if you purchase an annual pass rather than regular park tickets but remember these specific tips this also might mean you end up booking more last-minute trips because you've got to get use out of it and you'll pass you bought and this is Disney's business plan by the way for annual passes you might end up spending a lot more on Disney hotels and food than you would have if you didn't have an annual pass that thing burns a hole in your pocket and you really want to use it when you have it so if you typically go to Disney World once a year you might consider getting an annual pass and bumping up that second trip by a few weeks to get both trips in the same calendar year plus you'll get memory maker valuable discounts on food merchandise in hotel rooms etc and remember only one person in your group needs to have the pass to get all of those discounts you don't need to get annual is for the whole family if you're not gonna be able to do those two trips in the same year and also remember if you have an annual pass you can also get a tables in Wonderland card which gives you 20% off food and beverage at table service and lounge locations around Disney World now this can be a great discount opportunity but again only if you really use it and understand how to use it so the card costs Florida residents one hundred and seventy five dollars and Annual Pass holders and DBC members one hundred and fifty so Florida residents would need to spend eight hundred and seventy five dollars an annual pass holder DVC member seven hundred and fifty dollars on food in a calendar year with the card in order to break even so there are just a few of those ways that all of those money-saving tips for Disney World can backfire so be sure to look at those before you make those choices and before you lay out your dollars again there's so much to plan for Disney World there's so much to figure out before you go to make sure you're getting the biggest bang for your buck we always try to help you here in DFP guide with our videos we also have plenty of blog hey guys Brittany here four pennies into pearls and I have been dying just dying to start sharing with you our Disneyland adventure that we had it was the first time that we took our whole family to Disney in the first time we've been since I mean I've been married to us in over ten years it was an amazing trip and so here's the thing on today's video I'm going to be sharing with you guys the exact breakdown of our budget to go to Disneyland but I'm actually going to be doing a whole Disneyland series so I'm going to be sharing with you guys today what our budget is but in future videos I'm going to be sharing with you different things that you want to buy before you go to Disneyland to help you save the most money possible I'm going to be sharing with you guys different places where you want to stay to help you save the most money possible and that all depends on like how many people are in your group how long you're going to be staying all of that stuff and then of course I'm going to be sharing with you guys kind of like a day-in-the-life vlog style of our entire trip at Disneyland what we did how the kids did since we have us now six four and one and a half year old it was the best time and I think we did pretty good at going to Disneyland on a budget so if you guys want to know the ins and outs on how to have an amazing Disneyland vacation on a budget then you're definitely going to want to hit subscribe and make sure you stay tuned to this video all right you guys we are here in the computer let's just dive into it and I'm going to show you guys all the numbers of what we thought we were going to spend and actually what we did spend so I'm keep in mind that again this is just for a one-day visit but two nights in a hotel so if you're planning your vacation I've kind of priced it like per day so I'm you can multiply it you know by however many days you're planning that thing okay so let's take it over to the hotel make sure you're subscribed because I'm going to go into all the details on how you guys can save money when it comes to deciding where to stay depending on how many people in your party how long you're going to be staying all that stuff but for this one night or two nights we decided to stay in a hotel which was actually an amazing price I think we got it at like 111 a night and this is like a brand-new really nice I mean it's not like five stars or anything but it was really clean hotel is about 111 per night I believe but then you can see over here it actually worked out to be 302 for tea after like fees and taxes I'll leave a link down below to the actual hotel that we did stay at so that way if you are looking for a hotel you might want to check this one out and see what rates you can get um then when it came time for a snack so in this budget I included like snacks that we bought ahead of time and then snacks to be purchased at the park we ended up not buying that many sex because we are so busy going around and like checking out rides and different shows and things like that we ended up not buying that many snacks which was kind of sad about I mean obviously I'm still okay because we had an amazing time so we ended up pretty much we bought like I think we wat Dole Whip was like one thing that we bought and then the rest of that money was just for snacks that I have ahead of time using coupons which stages I'll be doing a casual couponing video soon then we I wanted to include breakfast in here so these are all categories of your budget that you need to include in your Disneyland vacations we had breakfast included in our hotel which is one of the main things I was looking for because breakfast can be expensive and who wants to go get ready get out your hotel room with little kids I mean it was so easy just to wake up go breakfast that's initiating ready so breakfast was included in our hotels day okay I realized that I had to hurry and add in the ticket prices so we'll get to those in a second since we did have to actually pay take your prices we did not include those in our total so we remember to keep that in mind when you're looking at these totals here so I'm I just told you guys that breakfast is included in our hotel which I highly recommend finding somewhere if you're doing the hotel route that includes breakfast now for lunch you can see right here we budgeted $60 per day for our family of five and that's what three little kids so we were able to get by with them sharing two kids meals or like one large adult meal probably so we budgeted $60 per lunch for our family don't forget to budget in food for your travel dates as well because that's something that a lot of people overlook so we budgeted $20 for lunch on the way home because we didn't need lunch on the way yet you'll see in a second so on we budgeted about $80 for the lunch for the two days one at the park one on the way home and we spent seventy two forty-five and you can see how that broke down here so about $54 per lunch at the park for our family of five and then 1876 for lunch on the way home and then for dinner so again it's to dinner so we had dinner our first night there so just out and about around and we actually ate pizza at just like a pizza place right next to the park right next to our hotel and then one dinner at the park which we actually ate on Main Street at Dominion so you can see over here we budgeted $85 and then knowing that we were under budget for our lunches we kind of knew that we had a little wiggle room for our dinner so you can see our total actually was 94 seventy-six and so that was thirty dollars for pizza so it was way over what we were anticipating I was eating like twenty dollars I guess I did budget 25 but so it's not way over but anyways thirty dollars for pit stop first night were there and then 62-36 for dinner for our family of five with the little kids for dinner at the park that day so that kind of gives you an idea one tip i have for budgeting and planning your budget for eating of course you can pack your lunches if we were planning on being there for more than one day i would have packed lunches while we're there and maybe have lunch one day there and then dinner there or you know kind of did a variety of packing lunch packing dinner and vice versa so that's one thing that you can do but since we are only there for one day we were just really indulging in the whole Disney experience and bought lunch and dinner at the park okay so now I got you the money for it and what that is is I found this really cute idea from the Melea show the channel here on YouTube that I absolutely love go check her out if you like this channel you're going to love her channel it's amazing she does like all sorts of things to help you live an awesome life on a budget so anyways go check her out tell her that Brittany from Penny's wonderful fun too but anyways her you was to have it to be very practical like what I did is I went to the dollar store ahead of time and just bought a bunch of little Disney seems little trinkets really and then we just set them out on the morning our first morning there and if we would have been there couple a couple days I would have spread out so maybe they got one thing one morning one thing the next morning one thing the next morning you know things like that just a little tiny thing it didn't cost much I budgeted twenty five dollars for all three kids and we stuck to that budget we actually spent twenty five dollars for our Disney fairy and it just adds to the magical experience and it was so much fun and I'm so glad that we did that so any little thing that you're planning on doing make sure you're including it in your budget then we wanted to buy Disney shirts the kids got Disney shirts for Christmas so hubby and I wanted Disney shirt you can see that I'm wearing right now and I actually got mine from Walmart but I did end up liking it the quality of the material is just really not great I would have liked to have a shirt that I could buy and then use for future trips to Disney Man but even after just one day of wearing it at the park the back kind of got you know when sheet material starts to kind of like bead up on the outside of the shirt anyways that's what this shirt did so I mean it served its purpose I think it was about $10 so it's not only could spent a ton of money anyways we budgeted 30 dollars to buy a new shirt and hubby shirt and we stayed within that budget of $30 and we got hubby's on Amazon I believe I can leave links for that down below for you guys then we also did budget $45 for a souvenir for as we're leaving the park that kids could go and buy something we actually worked out was that the kids great grandma had sent them gave them a little bit of money so we didn't have to use that money out of our budget because they were gifted some souvenir money but just to let you guys know to get like a very fun toy I would say setting a $15.00 budget per child is a good price range your shirt and sweatshirts and things like that are going to be higher than that but the kids were interested in the toys and to find a fun not over-the-top toy for under $15 is pretty average so I think that's a good price point to look at if you're trying to set your own budget then parking at the park I was anticipating paid to pay for parking like we're going to drive there but our hotel is actually a lot closer than I was expecting so we didn't have to pay but as of this video it's 20 dollars to pay on to park there but just go to Disneyland's website and you can search their parking and then they'll tell you what the current price is to park for an entire day at the park just make sure to include that in your budget and then I have the downcast but you guys are going to want to make sure that you include in your budget your travel expenses so whether it's an airline ticket I'm trying to get a bus ticket whatever it is even gas so we anticipated I was going to take about one guess that one tink a gas to get us there and back it's about four dollars and that's about what it took about an entire tank of gas just to get there and back and then any little driving that we did in between so make sure to include your travel expenses in there as well oh and then one thing about parking is again is if your parking is not included in your hotel rate make sure to pay attention to that when you're searching for your hotel because that can add up a lot especially if you're spending multiple dates and then the last thing we wanted to do was get some Mickey ears and originally I was like oh I'm going to just make them and set my budget at ten dollars but then what we did is we found these really cute like let me see if you guys can tell they're kind of like sparkly on Minnie Mouse ears but then also a they came in a 12-pack I'll leave a link sydney's down below they came in two 12-pack of these so six mini ears and then six Mickey ears so we gave them to my kids and then two cousins as well that were there so they cost about $12 for the 12 years so that's a dollar per set of ears if you go into the park and try to buy Mickey Mouse ears there they're going to be least ten dollars per pair McGee years or many years one thing that I would have liked to do maybe I'll do in the future is I would still buy these ears but maybe like as little embellishments on if you go into Pinterest and search mini or Mickey Mouse ears you're going to see a ton of stuff on there just DIY and then add it onto here but we saw these exact ears in our hotels a little gift shop and they were eight dollars eight dollars to do that exact one so they did a huge markup on those anyways if you're planning on getting ears you don't already have them use my link down below because it's a really awesome deal alright and a really quick let's just go over ticket prices so you can see that our anticipated budget with seven hundred and twenty dollars so we saved up all that cash ahead of time before we even went to the park before we even paid any hotel fees or anything we saved that 720 we ended up only paying about six hundred dollars sorwe under budget so what we do with that extra money is we just rolled it into our 2017 vacation fund so that was a really great unexpected surprise so as far as ticket prices go now there's a couple ways that you're going to be able to get tickets even cheaper than these prices I have right here one would be going through get away today using the link I have below they're going to do packages on your Disneyland tickets and on your hotel tickets like I said you can get your tickets a little bit cheaper depending on how many days you're going to be saying all that stuff is factored into the price and then it's a really busy day the prices are going to be more things like that so do your research onto the day that you're doing it go to get away today use my link down below and you can get $10 off and then also you can just go to Disneyland's website and you can see that depending on which day what time of the year you're going and then how many days you're spending there and you can get cheaper ticket prices the more days that you're bundling together and then also the more days you purchase at one time you can get the magical mornings it's not what they're called yeah magic morning that's what a call where you got to that's what it's called you actually get to go into the park earlier before the gates open so that's a huge bonus and I plan on taking advantage of that next time we go when we do a couple days there you have it that is our complete budget that is every single dollar that we spent at Disney and every single dollar that you can hey this is Jamie Thomas with click the mouse dot CA and this is my husband hello I'm Brad and we're here to talk to you guys about planning and money saving hacks for your next Disney World vacation the first money-saving hack is actually kind of a surprising one now it's actually staying on property now you're gonna thank Jamie there's no way that staying on property is gonna save me more money even staying off property that's what I was liking but you know it's actually true um you're gonna have to do the math for your own family but the truth is when you're staying off property you have to factor in a lot of different off property kind of cost I mean just from travel alone staying on property can be such a money-saving tips but you can do so there's so many different types of options regarding your actual resort things that are yes very expensive it can also stand a lot of economy type lodging as well so there's um tons of value properties that range from you know well if you get a room discount they can range from you know hundred dollars to under one hundred and fifty and I in that kind of range so that's pretty reasonable a lot of off property hotels will charge resort fee so those can range from anywhere from $10 a night to up to $25 a night so you want to factor that in per night that really jumps up your cost of maybe $100 room right plus you got to consider things like car rental gas for that car how much is parking gonna be when you go to the resorts and actually stay there yeah it can really add up quickly so yeah definitely and also if you're renting a car and you have little kids you have to factor in a car seat rental unless you're bringing your own but if you're renting one from a company like Alamo that can range from $12 a booster seat to a car seat per day so that can quickly add up really to you if you're staying off property some of the different hotels and some of the different resorts will actually offer service shuttles to the different parks and depending on which type of hotel you stay at the quality of those shuttles very nasty Klee whereas with Disney you know you're always getting really good service every single one of the hotels has some form of best transportation from the resort to the different Disney properties in different parks whereas you just don't know what you're getting when you're staying off property and when you add up all those different costs when it comes to travel it really can be a saver to stay on property yeah it's true the best is that Disney run about every 15 minutes so that's pretty consistently a lot of off property places you know we'll do one to two times in the morning and one to two times in the evenings that means if you want to go back for an afternoon nap or even return to the hotel earlier you're gonna have to be paying an uber taxi fee the other thing is you get so many magical extras when you stay at Disney so you get your free magic bands so if you're paying out of pocket for magic bands those are gonna add up from you know anywhere ten to fifteen dollars per person so you get those free when you just stay on property plus you get to pick your fast passes 60 days before rather than 30 days like off property guests so that's a pretty big bonus because if you're really wanting to get on those hard to get rides like flight of passage Seven Dwarfs Mine Train then you're gonna want to be in that 60 day window booking the fast passes because they can book up really quick another one of the things you want to think about when it comes to transportation and cost saving when you say on property at Disney World is the magical Express when it comes to flying into Orlando one of the beautiful things when staying on a Walt Disney World property is you get the magic Express which picks up your bags takes you from the airport right to your resort where you're not having to pay for a tax that you're not having to worry about tip all of that kind of stuff is a real bonus for staying on property yeah it can really add up quick to pay for those transfers from the airport to your hotel and also you know when you check into your Disney and Resort they'll also give you a souvenir booklet with the kind of magical extras in it and those will range from you know ten percent off to twenty percent off and select is neat stores so you know that can help save on food dining and different other little costs staying on property certainly our first tip for a way you might not have originally thought can actually save you money so our next money-saving hack is really going offseason that's um really because Disney often offers the best discounts or promotions during that time like you know January February pretty much when the kids are in school and so the the Disney is getting kind of low clouds so they oftentimes release a promotion to entice people to come out to the park so January February you know that September early on or sorry late August range late August really till beginning of December is a great time offseason go but keeping in mind you want to avoid American Thanksgiving and Christmas those are definitely the high seasons but other times you know you want to go during offseason because it can save a lot you can get a room discount or even free dining if it's offered there's lots of good promotions during that time so and the room costs are overall a lot lower because Disney does bump up the room cost price you know during those high seasons so if you want to save money go during the off-season what's really nice about going through at that time is not only is it cheaper but some of the best type of festivals and extra little special tidbits that happen in the parks happen during those months for instance during October and November you're gonna see Mickey's not-so-scary Halloween party the entire Magic Kingdom is just decorating this awesome fall kind of motif over at Epcot you've got the Food and Wine Festival which is one of the funnest that's if you're any kind of a foodie you've got to go to it yeah best place yeah I'm here yeah and then plus you're not fighting crowds you know you're gonna have lower weight times overall and I'm just lower Park crowds which is a huge bonus and you're gonna be able to get more touring done during your day which is a huge you know kind of money-saving hack because you're getting the best bang for your buck going off season so money-saving hack number three it is use Google flight matrix if you are flexible at all with your dates then I recommend going to Google flight matrix just search it on google and you'll find it and it actually will give you a whole month view of flights and so you can actually figure out what is the best time to stay and fly for you to get the best deal and also I'm talking the best plates for your family which is really good but you can get the lowest airfare there and you can figure out what airline and it gives you a whole mod so you don't need to be searching day by day which can be super tedious that also works back with what we were just talking about regarding going in the offseason oftentimes those flights are the cheapest during that season and so it matches right up with the cheaper prices at Disney tip number four or five depending what we're at one of the best ways of saving money at Disney World is actually going with a group most people don't think of this now going with a family of just yourself so obviously may be your preference but if you have other family members friends that will go with you it's amazing how much you can save when you start doing things in kind of community what one of the options that is really good what do you have a large group can be renting a home that is off property and dividing it up three or four ways you can get places that have multiple rooms have its own pool for several hundred dollars a night that split up between three or four families can become unbelievably cheap on top of that if you stay on property with a group you can divide other things up for instance one of my favorite things that Disney World is the memory maker if you don't know what that is basically all around the parks all around the resort they have professional photographers just waiting around to take pictures of your family it's an unbelievable service it costs you know I think 150 200 bucks somewhere in that range but what's really cool is for everyone that's kind of in your group it works for everyone and so if you have two or three families attached to the same account and going together can be split up two three ways and suddenly you can make unbelievable memories for a really cheap price and it's not just that you have all of these professional photographers all around Disney world at your disposal but even when you go on the rides and there's those cameras that take a picture you wanna down Splash Mountain you get all of those including videos of you doing that stuff so another great way to save money is go as a group figure out what ways you can actually split up the tab because really quickly Disney World can go from this unbelievably expensive thing to something that's very affordable one like you said you don't have to staying on the same room to get that so even if just one person has it on their package then as long as you're all linked and memory maker together then all of you guys can benefit from that if you actually fill up your hotel room you're gonna be getting the best value and bang for your back so if you only have like maybe two people in a standard room you have really um you're not filling up the room to its full capacity so you could say it let's say a family Sweden art of animation if your smaller family maybe that's not the best option for you but if you're bringing grandma and grandpa on to and filling up that family suite then it makes it you know that huge price tag more shareable and more like a value resort when you're splitting the cost yes we did that exact thing about three years ago and by the time we split it two ways it ended up being as cheap if not cheaper than staying at all-star sports or one of the really cheap resorts at Disney World yeah that's true but the prices have gone up at our time animation oddly but you know what still if you're splitting it you know I know but if you're still splitting it you know a few ways but it does make it a really good economical option because you don't need to get to standard rooms you can just all fit in a family suite it's just kind of nice too because it has two bathrooms so that can be really nice number five stay a little longer at Disney World I know this is crazy you want to go to Universal you want to do SeaWorld you want to do all that other stuff in Florida Legoland and we'll talk about that I'm sure in other videos and there's lots of fun stuff to do there but there's so much stuff to do at the Walt Disney World Resort and the longer you stay the longer you you stay as far as tickets go the cheaper I take it gets like a one-day ticket ranges let's say like 105 dollars well if you go up you know to eight or ten days it's getting cheaper per day so you're talking you know it could get down to forty four dollars per s'en or something you know per day so definitely if you're doing like two days at Universal and then two days at Disney people are always shocked by the price tag there because you're paying the premium full ticket prices right but if you stay it Disney longer yeah then you're paying a whole lot less over the hall so it might be smart for your family to kind of think about rather than doing a short trip every year you know two three four days you know every single year maybe space it out do every couple years a longer eight to ten day trip and then you're really getting the best bang for your back so hot tip number six on how to save some money at Disneyworld consider all of those things that you can get off property that you'll spend four or five times the amount on property four for instance a lot of kids love to use glow sticks things of that nature when they go to the parks buy those at Dollar Stores another thing that will just take your cost and your spending out of control is looking for all those little knickknacks and all of those souvenirs that you'll end up purchasing in all of your gift shops after each ride and tell your family forget it we're not buying our stuff here there are all sorts of wonderful outlet shops at Disney that there are does the elegant shops right by Disney World take one day or not even a full day take a couple hours one day head to an outlet shop there's one right by Disney World where they take all of their stuff that really hasn't sold as well as they thought it would or is out of season and they sell it for like 1/4 1/5 one-tenth the cost last time we went I think we spent a hundred bucks and got like five hundred dollars worth of souvenirs golf shirts golf jackets art all sorts of mugs and everything that we'd would have looked for and bought inside the park for five times the cost we got there at just a fraction yeah totally and that's actually called the character warehouses and like Brad said they're official Disney merchandise you can just get it for super cheap all of it so it's definitely worth it to save your money instead of getting that you know premium Mickey errs that are you know twenty five bucks go to the character warehouse and get ones that are two three four five bucks right so you're saving a lot of money then it's definitely worth it um to take an uber down there and just go check it out and number seven it is use a grocery delivery service so you're probably thinking you know grocery delivery that's gonna be a lot of money but if you use a company like garden grow sure they actually deliver for free when you spend fifty dollars or more so if you're um let's say eating your breakfast maybe even packing a little cooled sandwich lunch for the day of the park then you only have really one that you're gonna have to be paying out-of-pocket there so that can save your family a lot of money I'm every Disney Resort has fridges low mini fridges in the room and then select Disney resorts have kitchenettes which have like a little sink toaster microwave and some of them even have full kitchens so if you're cooking your meals in the in the resort room you know you can actually save quite a bit of money rather than paying out of pocket in the parks again so much this is you doing the math as you look at what's best for your family but if you are staying off property there are a lot of resorts that are really close by that do have continental breakfasts so but and a kitchenette so by the time you get the free breakfast in the morning you've got your own food that you can prepare some of which you are allowed to bring into the park depending on the rules yeah it's amazing how much cheaper it can be if you get really smart about your money with your food pack number eight camping you're probably thinking why go camping that's crazy right but truth is Disney actually has some of the one of the most beautiful campgrounds in all of the world really so if you're you know live close and you can even drive or maybe you just like really like camping or you can take your RV down whatever the campgrounds range from like 47 I think dollars a night to you know just under a hundred so that can be a super cheap way to stay on property and you actually get all of the benefits of staying on property you get those free magic and you get to select your Fastpass of 30 days for all of the benefits at very low price so you just want to make sure not to go during brainy or hurricane season because it could get like super wet it can sure I'm down for but you know that is a really good way to save some money just go camping and plus you get a lot of fun things there's roasting marshmallows with chippendale that's people so so cool the campgrounds are super fun so if you guys are outdoorsy and would enjoy that then you should probably check that out so hack number 9 is actually consider going to one of the resorts that is under refurbishment that is because Disney oftentimes will heavily discount a room like you know the the resorts there on your construction right now Coronado Springs Caribbean beach those are under construction so if you don't mind going and kind of overlooking the walls and the construction that's up and going on Disney's really discounting those rooms so that can save you a lot of money you can stay at a moderate resort for a much lower discounted price and plus you can double dip so if a promotion comes out like free dining or a room promotion you can actually apply that on to the or a discount rate so that can be a really good deal and Disney actually um make sure to not do construction from 9:00 a.m. I think till 9:00 p.m. so you're not going to be hearing or no sorry opposite they they don't do the construction they do construction from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. yes yes they're not doing construction at night when you're sleeping so after 90 now after 9 p.m. until 9:00 a.m. there's no construction no noise so you know you're gonna be seeing the ugly walls up though and you know maybe some amenities might be down like dining or certain pools or something you definitely just have to check it out but it is a really good way to save some money yeah I mean you really have to gauge kind of how important are some of those amenities to you like certain certain hotels and certain resorts will lose a restaurant or certain things become more difficult to get to and so you really have to decide okay is this something I'm willing to give up a few of those things I might really like it the resort they're pretty good about keeping pools open because for me that's the most important thing and a resort that and this the comfy bed but but there are some things that are taken away so keep that in mind but it is a really good way to to save some money going along with that I think leads us to our tenth and final mm-hmm now we're gonna do more of these because there's so many different ways you can save half a four and at Walt Disney World but I think the tenth and the one to finish on that goes along with what we just said is booked with the travel agent hmm yeah because you know what it's true we want the best deal for you let them give you suggestions on what hotels are going under refurbishments you know that you can get those deals for or even kind of predict what promotions are coming out there's no guarantee of course but we can kind of help you plan booking ahead or even booking last-minute to you but we can definitely help you get the best deal and when you booked with a travel agent like me with Jamie would click the mouse then um you can't we monitor actually for discounts so if you booked a trip you know we can actually apply the discount to your room or even change your room depending on availability to get you the best deal available so um yeah good and we're free that's a big I think that's the biggest thing is this and if you go with a reputable place like click the mouse yeah it's it's free too and that's a huge huge thing to have someone that's worrying about your vacation for you looking to apply those those different discounts and the truth is so many of those types of things come up at and through Walt Disney World and yeah if you're trying to book your own vacation yourself you're having to stay on top of all that stuff what different discounts are coming up what is new at the parks that I need to know about that can be applied to my vacation to save me some money and if you're working a job and raising kids I mean that's who has time for that but the beauty is if your goal with a travel agent they're looking at all that for you yeah well thanks for taking the time to listen to us yeah thank you so much and we'll see you later make sure just subscribe to our videos um down
