personal needs and budget if you're interested in having your own personal Disney Vacation Planner I'd love to chat with you my services are always free a little disclaimer here before we get started one the prices are in u.s. dollars Rory my fellow Canadian friends with the fluctuating dollar it's difficult to keep the rates updated to this budget worksheet is only a helpful planning tool so that you have a realistic budget in mind and in no way an official travel quote please contact your friendly Disney travel planner for an official quote if you have any questions please don't hesitate contact me I have included my contact information in the video notes below now let's get started on this main page you'll see a breakdown of all of the costs at the bottom you can see the different sections which you can click through budget which is the page that were on resorts porches a list of resort choices daily rate which shows you the daily rate for each Resort Hotel you can see the dates this about down the side and the hotels is that all along the top dining which shows you the daily rate for dining tickets and that shows you the average daily rate for per ticket choice and you see that the ticket price goes down the longer your stay and then we have parking which gives you the daily hotel rate for parking if you choose to drive or rent a car okay so let's go back to the main page and I'll show you how to fill the worksheet up I usually start by entering the total budget amount that you would like to work with and then we can pop down and start entering in your expenses your expenses start here on line 14 in the sample budget I based it on to adults for a seven-night stay so in line 14 you can see here it's a drop-down menu and you can choose your resort of choice here I put these guys at Disney pop century resort now let's figure out your average price per night so if you click over to the daily rate tab and choose your dates let's say you want to travel me first checking out May 8 and staying at pop century show us the resorts along the top here pop century is my first column so I go down to May first and then you can actually just highlight from May 1st to May 7th because it's her night stay and you'll see at the bottom here it gives us an average daily rate it shows the number of nights and then we can pop back over to our budget worksheet and enter in our sending lights and the cost per night was 1 1 571 and then it's going to give us our total amount here next we enter in our resort tax there's only any one resort tax and over here you'll see my note it says 13.5% at all star resorts otherwise it's 12.5% so the tax on Disney sports entry it's roughly 5% which gave us one point four eight seven next we're moving on to park tickets and this is also a drop down menu so you can select what type of cook tickets you want these ones are going to be set to one park per day then you go over to your ticket tab and you're gonna have to do a little bit of math here for this one we are doing one park per day for seven days and you'll see that the 7-day price is sixty two dollars and you multiply that by two people which gives us one hundred twenty four dollars and we hop back over to our budget and we go here and we're doing seven days 124 dollars and it gives us our total amount moving along and we do a similar thing for the Dining Plan there's a jump down menu can choose which dining plan you want and we pop over to the dining table and figure out how much it's gonna cost for dining so a little bit of math here as well and we have our sample here says a Disney quick-service Dining Plan which is fifty to fifty per adult per day so when you multiply that by two and it's giving us 105 dollars per day we just pop it in our seven days hundred five dollars and it'll give us our total amount and then you will see some other options under the expenses tab the memory maker this one is 169 if you buy it before your trip it is 199 park then you have your options for travel if you're flying driving parking car rentals so this is your whole transportation section we fill in the information just as we did above and then you have additional lines to put in your budget for your souvenirs and gifts for your purchase food and drinks there's also a column for special event tickets like Mickey's not-so-scary Halloween party Mickey's very Merry Christmas party early hours events or VIP tours so you can pop that all in there and that's it well there you have it I hope you find this budget worksheet helpful if you think that something else should be included please comment your request below thank you for taking the time to watch this tutorial and have a magical

I am also a Disney Vacation Planner and would LOVE to help you plan your next Disney vacation. Best of all my services are FREE.

To book a trip check out:
hey this is Jamie Thomas with click the mouse dot CA and this is my husband hello I'm Brad and we're here to talk to you guys about planning and money saving hacks for your next Disney World vacation the first money-saving hack is actually kind of a surprising one now it's actually staying on property now you're gonna thank Jamie there's no way that staying on property is gonna save me more money even staying off property that's what I was liking but you know it's actually true um you're gonna have to do the math for your own family but the truth is when you're staying off property you have to factor in a lot of different off property kind of cost I mean just from travel alone staying on property can be such a money-saving tips but you can do so there's so many different types of options regarding your actual resort things that are yes very expensive it can also stand a lot of economy type lodging as well so there's um tons of value properties that range from you know well if you get a room discount they can range from you know hundred dollars to under one hundred and fifty and I in that kind of range so that's pretty reasonable a lot of off property hotels will charge resort fee so those can range from anywhere from $10 a night to up to $25 a night so you want to factor that in per night that really jumps up your cost of maybe $100 room right plus you got to consider things like car rental gas for that car how much is parking gonna be when you go to the resorts and actually stay there yeah it can really add up quickly so yeah definitely and also if you're renting a car and you have little kids you have to factor in a car seat rental unless you're bringing your own but if you're renting one from a company like Alamo that can range from $12 a booster seat to a car seat per day so that can quickly add up really to you if you're staying off property some of the different hotels and some of the different resorts will actually offer service shuttles to the different parks and depending on which type of hotel you stay at the quality of those shuttles very nasty Klee whereas with Disney you know you're always getting really good service every single one of the hotels has some form of best transportation from the resort to the different Disney properties in different parks whereas you just don't know what you're getting when you're staying off property and when you add up all those different costs when it comes to travel it really can be a saver to stay on property yeah it's true the best is that Disney run about every 15 minutes so that's pretty consistently a lot of off property places you know we'll do one to two times in the morning and one to two times in the evenings that means if you want to go back for an afternoon nap or even return to the hotel earlier you're gonna have to be paying an uber taxi fee the other thing is you get so many magical extras when you stay at Disney so you get your free magic bands so if you're paying out of pocket for magic bands those are gonna add up from you know anywhere ten to fifteen dollars per person so you get those free when you just stay on property plus you get to pick your fast passes 60 days before rather than 30 days like off property guests so that's a pretty big bonus because if you're really wanting to get on those hard to get rides like flight of passage Seven Dwarfs Mine Train then you're gonna want to be in that 60 day window booking the fast passes because they can book up really quick another one of the things you want to think about when it comes to transportation and cost saving when you say on property at Disney World is the magical Express when it comes to flying into Orlando one of the beautiful things when staying on a Walt Disney World property is you get the magic Express which picks up your bags takes you from the airport right to your resort where you're not having to pay for a tax that you're not having to worry about tip all of that kind of stuff is a real bonus for staying on property yeah it can really add up quick to pay for those transfers from the airport to your hotel and also you know when you check into your Disney and Resort they'll also give you a souvenir booklet with the kind of magical extras in it and those will range from you know ten percent off to twenty percent off and select is neat stores so you know that can help save on food dining and different other little costs staying on property certainly our first tip for a way you might not have originally thought can actually save you money so our next money-saving hack is really going offseason that's um really because Disney often offers the best discounts or promotions during that time like you know January February pretty much when the kids are in school and so the the Disney is getting kind of low clouds so they oftentimes release a promotion to entice people to come out to the park so January February you know that September early on or sorry late August range late August really till beginning of December is a great time offseason go but keeping in mind you want to avoid American Thanksgiving and Christmas those are definitely the high seasons but other times you know you want to go during offseason because it can save a lot you can get a room discount or even free dining if it's offered there's lots of good promotions during that time so and the room costs are overall a lot lower because Disney does bump up the room cost price you know during those high seasons so if you want to save money go during the off-season what's really nice about going through at that time is not only is it cheaper but some of the best type of festivals and extra little special tidbits that happen in the parks happen during those months for instance during October and November you're gonna see Mickey's not-so-scary Halloween party the entire Magic Kingdom is just decorating this awesome fall kind of motif over at Epcot you've got the Food and Wine Festival which is one of the funnest that's if you're any kind of a foodie you've got to go to it yeah best place yeah I'm here yeah and then plus you're not fighting crowds you know you're gonna have lower weight times overall and I'm just lower Park crowds which is a huge bonus and you're gonna be able to get more touring done during your day which is a huge you know kind of money-saving hack because you're getting the best bang for your buck going off season so money-saving hack number three it is use Google flight matrix if you are flexible at all with your dates then I recommend going to Google flight matrix just search it on google and you'll find it and it actually will give you a whole month view of flights and so you can actually figure out what is the best time to stay and fly for you to get the best deal and also I'm talking the best plates for your family which is really good but you can get the lowest airfare there and you can figure out what airline and it gives you a whole mod so you don't need to be searching day by day which can be super tedious that also works back with what we were just talking about regarding going in the offseason oftentimes those flights are the cheapest during that season and so it matches right up with the cheaper prices at Disney tip number four or five depending what we're at one of the best ways of saving money at Disney World is actually going with a group most people don't think of this now going with a family of just yourself so obviously may be your preference but if you have other family members friends that will go with you it's amazing how much you can save when you start doing things in kind of community what one of the options that is really good what do you have a large group can be renting a home that is off property and dividing it up three or four ways you can get places that have multiple rooms have its own pool for several hundred dollars a night that split up between three or four families can become unbelievably cheap on top of that if you stay on property with a group you can divide other things up for instance one of my favorite things that Disney World is the memory maker if you don't know what that is basically all around the parks all around the resort they have professional photographers just waiting around to take pictures of your family it's an unbelievable service it costs you know I think 150 200 bucks somewhere in that range but what's really cool is for everyone that's kind of in your group it works for everyone and so if you have two or three families attached to the same account and going together can be split up two three ways and suddenly you can make unbelievable memories for a really cheap price and it's not just that you have all of these professional photographers all around Disney world at your disposal but even when you go on the rides and there's those cameras that take a picture you wanna down Splash Mountain you get all of those including videos of you doing that stuff so another great way to save money is go as a group figure out what ways you can actually split up the tab because really quickly Disney World can go from this unbelievably expensive thing to something that's very affordable one like you said you don't have to staying on the same room to get that so even if just one person has it on their package then as long as you're all linked and memory maker together then all of you guys can benefit from that if you actually fill up your hotel room you're gonna be getting the best value and bang for your back so if you only have like maybe two people in a standard room you have really um you're not filling up the room to its full capacity so you could say it let's say a family Sweden art of animation if your smaller family maybe that's not the best option for you but if you're bringing grandma and grandpa on to and filling up that family suite then it makes it you know that huge price tag more shareable and more like a value resort when you're splitting the cost yes we did that exact thing about three years ago and by the time we split it two ways it ended up being as cheap if not cheaper than staying at all-star sports or one of the really cheap resorts at Disney World yeah that's true but the prices have gone up at our time animation oddly but you know what still if you're splitting it you know I know but if you're still splitting it you know a few ways but it does make it a really good economical option because you don't need to get to standard rooms you can just all fit in a family suite it's just kind of nice too because it has two bathrooms so that can be really nice number five stay a little longer at Disney World I know this is crazy you want to go to Universal you want to do SeaWorld you want to do all that other stuff in Florida Legoland and we'll talk about that I'm sure in other videos and there's lots of fun stuff to do there but there's so much stuff to do at the Walt Disney World Resort and the longer you stay the longer you you stay as far as tickets go the cheaper I take it gets like a one-day ticket ranges let's say like 105 dollars well if you go up you know to eight or ten days it's getting cheaper per day so you're talking you know it could get down to forty four dollars per s'en or something you know per day so definitely if you're doing like two days at Universal and then two days at Disney people are always shocked by the price tag there because you're paying the premium full ticket prices right but if you stay it Disney longer yeah then you're paying a whole lot less over the hall so it might be smart for your family to kind of think about rather than doing a short trip every year you know two three four days you know every single year maybe space it out do every couple years a longer eight to ten day trip and then you're really getting the best bang for your back so hot tip number six on how to save some money at Disneyworld consider all of those things that you can get off property that you'll spend four or five times the amount on property four for instance a lot of kids love to use glow sticks things of that nature when they go to the parks buy those at Dollar Stores another thing that will just take your cost and your spending out of control is looking for all those little knickknacks and all of those souvenirs that you'll end up purchasing in all of your gift shops after each ride and tell your family forget it we're not buying our stuff here there are all sorts of wonderful outlet shops at Disney that there are does the elegant shops right by Disney World take one day or not even a full day take a couple hours one day head to an outlet shop there's one right by Disney World where they take all of their stuff that really hasn't sold as well as they thought it would or is out of season and they sell it for like 1/4 1/5 one-tenth the cost last time we went I think we spent a hundred bucks and got like five hundred dollars worth of souvenirs golf shirts golf jackets art all sorts of mugs and everything that we'd would have looked for and bought inside the park for five times the cost we got there at just a fraction yeah totally and that's actually called the character warehouses and like Brad said they're official Disney merchandise you can just get it for super cheap all of it so it's definitely worth it to save your money instead of getting that you know premium Mickey errs that are you know twenty five bucks go to the character warehouse and get ones that are two three four five bucks right so you're saving a lot of money then it's definitely worth it um to take an uber down there and just go check it out and number seven it is use a grocery delivery service so you're probably thinking you know grocery delivery that's gonna be a lot of money but if you use a company like garden grow sure they actually deliver for free when you spend fifty dollars or more so if you're um let's say eating your breakfast maybe even packing a little cooled sandwich lunch for the day of the park then you only have really one that you're gonna have to be paying out-of-pocket there so that can save your family a lot of money I'm every Disney Resort has fridges low mini fridges in the room and then select Disney resorts have kitchenettes which have like a little sink toaster microwave and some of them even have full kitchens so if you're cooking your meals in the in the resort room you know you can actually save quite a bit of money rather than paying out of pocket in the parks again so much this is you doing the math as you look at what's best for your family but if you are staying off property there are a lot of resorts that are really close by that do have continental breakfasts so but and a kitchenette so by the time you get the free breakfast in the morning you've got your own food that you can prepare some of which you are allowed to bring into the park depending on the rules yeah it's amazing how much cheaper it can be if you get really smart about your money with your food pack number eight camping you're probably thinking why go camping that's crazy right but truth is Disney actually has some of the one of the most beautiful campgrounds in all of the world really so if you're you know live close and you can even drive or maybe you just like really like camping or you can take your RV down whatever the campgrounds range from like 47 I think dollars a night to you know just under a hundred so that can be a super cheap way to stay on property and you actually get all of the benefits of staying on property you get those free magic and you get to select your Fastpass of 30 days for all of the benefits at very low price so you just want to make sure not to go during brainy or hurricane season because it could get like super wet it can sure I'm down for but you know that is a really good way to save some money just go camping and plus you get a lot of fun things there's roasting marshmallows with chippendale that's people so so cool the campgrounds are super fun so if you guys are outdoorsy and would enjoy that then you should probably check that out so hack number 9 is actually consider going to one of the resorts that is under refurbishment that is because Disney oftentimes will heavily discount a room like you know the the resorts there on your construction right now Coronado Springs Caribbean beach those are under construction so if you don't mind going and kind of overlooking the walls and the construction that's up and going on Disney's really discounting those rooms so that can save you a lot of money you can stay at a moderate resort for a much lower discounted price and plus you can double dip so if a promotion comes out like free dining or a room promotion you can actually apply that on to the or a discount rate so that can be a really good deal and Disney actually um make sure to not do construction from 9:00 a.m. I think till 9:00 p.m. so you're not going to be hearing or no sorry opposite they they don't do the construction they do construction from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. yes yes they're not doing construction at night when you're sleeping so after 90 now after 9 p.m. until 9:00 a.m. there's no construction no noise so you know you're gonna be seeing the ugly walls up though and you know maybe some amenities might be down like dining or certain pools or something you definitely just have to check it out but it is a really good way to save some money yeah I mean you really have to gauge kind of how important are some of those amenities to you like certain certain hotels and certain resorts will lose a restaurant or certain things become more difficult to get to and so you really have to decide okay is this something I'm willing to give up a few of those things I might really like it the resort they're pretty good about keeping pools open because for me that's the most important thing and a resort that and this the comfy bed but but there are some things that are taken away so keep that in mind but it is a really good way to to save some money going along with that I think leads us to our tenth and final mm-hmm now we're gonna do more of these because there's so many different ways you can save half a four and at Walt Disney World but I think the tenth and the one to finish on that goes along with what we just said is booked with the travel agent hmm yeah because you know what it's true we want the best deal for you let them give you suggestions on what hotels are going under refurbishments you know that you can get those deals for or even kind of predict what promotions are coming out there's no guarantee of course but we can kind of help you plan booking ahead or even booking last-minute to you but we can definitely help you get the best deal and when you booked with a travel agent like me with Jamie would click the mouse then um you can't we monitor actually for discounts so if you booked a trip you know we can actually apply the discount to your room or even change your room depending on availability to get you the best deal available so um yeah good and we're free that's a big I think that's the biggest thing is this and if you go with a reputable place like click the mouse yeah it's it's free too and that's a huge huge thing to have someone that's worrying about your vacation for you looking to apply those those different discounts and the truth is so many of those types of things come up at and through Walt Disney World and yeah if you're trying to book your own vacation yourself you're having to stay on top of all that stuff what different discounts are coming up what is new at the parks that I need to know about that can be applied to my vacation to save me some money and if you're working a job and raising kids I mean that's who has time for that but the beauty is if your goal with a travel agent they're looking at all that for you yeah well thanks for taking the time to listen to us yeah thank you so much and we'll see you later make sure just subscribe to our videos um down below there oh yeah listen tresca's will be giving more tips and information about your next Walt Disney World and if you're looking to book a vacation you can also click down there's links below and you can book her it's true okay bye

hey guys welcome back to my channel today I'm gonna be sharing my top money-saving tips for your Disney vacation so these things range from just saving a few dollars here and there to saving hundreds of dollars on some pretty substantial things so let's get started okay my first tip is to purchase your park tickets from an authorized ticket vendor website so one that I recommend is undercover tourists calm I'll link their website below but you can actually save a pretty significant amount on this website so right now on the website and this may change but right now they have a four-day base ticket listed to save forty-two dollars from what Disney is selling it for and a four-day park hopper right now is listed at a savings of seventy three dollars so that's a lot of money if you're buying multiple four-day base tickets or multiple four-day park hopper tickets that's a lot of money okay my next tip is to stay off site so I know that Disney resorts have a lot of draw to them there's a lot of perks to staying there but if you are on a tight budget stay off site there are a ton of amazing hotels in the Disney Springs area that you can get a great deal on another option is to look into Airbnb or VRBO you can rent a little condos or you can even rent rooms in somebody's house and they're pretty affordable okay another way to save which may seem contradictory to my previous point but is to stay on site so there's pros and cons to both there's ways you can save at both but one would be if you are gonna stay on site there's a ton of perks you're saving on transportation the convenience of all of the food and the entertainment and just the proximity to the parks but outside of those things if you stay at a value resort if especially if you go offseason there are some pretty great deals that you can get for a value resort and then if you want to stay at a more luxury resort then we look into renting DBC points I've done a couple videos on this so I'll link it in the cards above but you can save up to 50% on deluxe resorts I mean hundreds of dollars of savings and it's pretty great so my next tip is to bring your own food I think a lot of times we get swept up in the you know Disney Dining Plan or making reservations and you have to check out all these amazing restaurants and they're they are amazing but again if you're on a tight budget there's really no need to spend you know 60 plus dollars per person at a restaurant when you can just pack a lunch so there's a ton of different grocery service delivery companies that will actually deliver your food to your room in advance I know one of those is Amazon there's there's a ton of websites that do this so definitely look into it but that's one way to save a ton of money another way is to eat breakfast in your room before you go to the park my husband and I do this all the time we're just not big breakfast people so I'm good to grab a piece of fruit a granola bar a bagel whatever and head towards the park so to me I'm just I'm not really into breakfast so that's a way that we save money another way is again like I mentioned before packing your own lunch packed sandwiches pack you know all your snacks dinner I mean everything you can bring it into the park with you so a lot of people think that you can't do that but you totally can and it's a great way to save money okay my next tip is to enjoy a non-park day and this is a great way to save money and there's a ton of stuff to do on Disney property you can check out Disney Springs which is I mean a full day right there with all of the stuff that they've added in the past year there's a ton to do there I mean it could take up your whole day you could Resort hop there's so much to see at Disney resorts again you couldn't even do it in one day because there are so many resorts to see and there's so many free activities to go to so Animal Kingdom Lodge is one of my favorites to go and enjoy looking at the animals on a Savannah you can do little restaurant tours and there's baking classes and I mean there's just so much to do and that's just it Animal Kingdom Lodge so again there's so many things to do with the resorts and it's definitely a great way to save money okay my next tip is to purchase your souvenirs before you get to Disney it's super tempting to walk around the gift shop and load up a basket of stuff and before you know it you're spending hundreds of dollars in mugs and magnets and clothing and toys and all kinds of stuff and I've been there trust me but there's so many amazing Disney products and stuff outside of Disney parks so Target just released a super cute Disney line there's a ton of stuff you can find on Amazon especially if you have kids and they're the ones that go around in the gift shop and are just pulling stuff off the shelf and you know asking mom I want this I need this I need this then just bring it to the park before you get to Disney so another tip to kind of tag off of this one with pre purchasing souvenirs is to buy your Poncho's before you get to Disney most likely it will rain on your vacation so don't spend the ten fifteen dollars on Poncho's when you get to the park if you are a family of four or five or more I mean that's a lot of money you're spending on ponchos and if it rains everyday and you're not hanging on to the Poncho's that is a lot of money you're spending so what I've done in the past is I've gone to Dollar Tree and I've bought like the little packs that come in a pack of 10 for five dollars or ten dollars or something and we're set for the week and I spent the same amount of money I would have spent on one poncho that I did for a whole week for two people so definitely purchase everything you need before you get to Disney because they rack those prices up more than you even know my next tip is to skip the memory maker it's super cute I know what to have little Tinkerbell sitting in your hand you know when they edit the pictures and add that in but a lot of people just kind of pass over these photographers because they have the memory maker but make sure you stop and ask them to take your picture and you don't have to have the memory maker for this they will take a picture of your family with your phone or your camera and you still get to take advantage of all those really popular spots that they stand but you don't have to purchase the memory maker so that's a huge way to save money and you still get to experience all the same pictures so my next tip is to book your trip during offseason so offseason includes some of those months before Thanksgiving hits so September early October after New Year's kind of timeframe so middle to end of January in February those are great months to go because it's more affordable so they bump the prices down for resorts tickets are a little less expensive it's just a little way that you can save money another way you can do this is to take advantage of deals that are going on so in the fall they have a promotion for free dining in the spring they do room discounts if you booked during a certain time frame so just look into all the discounts and deals that are going on and if you booked your certain trip and a discount pops up you can definitely call Disney and go back and have them add-on that discount so again it kind of it depends when you're booking and what the discount is so definitely call before you get too excited but there's so many discounts going on with Disney they're always offering some kind of promotion so just look into it before you book your trip okay my last tip is to skip the park hopper this is a way that my husband and I have saved so much money every trip we just decide that we're just gonna pick one park for the day and we don't even think twice about it when we're there we don't think in the middle of our day oh man I wish we had the park hopper you know when we're saving that much money so for example a family of four purchasing a four-day base ticket as compared to a four day park hopper ticket is a $300 difference that's a lot of money you're saving so definitely skip the park hopper if you are wanting to save money and you're doing Disney on a budget just do the base rate tickets they're great okay that is it for my Disney World money saving tips I hope you enjoyed I
