Back to school supplies don’t have to break
the bank. We’re rounding up our favorite supplies
for students on a budget. Each item is less than $6! Don’t forget to like and subscribe if you
want to see more videos for students. Let’s get started. Pens & Pencils Gel Pen The humble Uni-ball Signo 207 is as reliable
as they come. The acid-free, fade, and water resistant gel
ink makes sure that your notes will last. A comfortable textured rubber grip helps keep
your hand from getting cramped. Highlighter If you do a lot of highlighting, we recommend
the Staedtler Textsurfer. These chunky highlighters have a huge reservoir
full of quick-drying ink. Plus, they won’t roll away if you happen
to take a power nap. Mechanical Pencil Pilot Fure Fure Shaker Mechanical Pencils
are perfect for students. They feature a shaker mechanism that lets
you extend the lead with a simple shake! These pencils also come in two stylish body
designs: the adorable Corone and stylish Sprinter. Wooden Pencil The Tombow 2558 resembles the yellow-barreled
pencils you might’ve used before, but don’t be fooled by its nostalgic looks. The lead makes crisp and dark lines, while
the attached eraser cleans stray marks well. Binders & Notebooks Binder Say goodbye to pinched fingers with the Maruman
Kurufit Binder. The plastic rings are easy to open: just unhook
the white tab at the bottom and slide the rings apart. These binders are lightweight so you can carry
as many as you need for class. Notebook Despite their bargain price, Apica CD Notebooks
don’t skimp on the quality. Each notebook is threadbound to last well
past the school year. We like the CD15, a semi B5-sized notebook. It’s large enough for notes and the right
size to fit in backpacks. Pencil Case Accessories Pen Case The Velos Tin Pen Case is sleek and lightweight,
perfect for storing all your supplies. If minimalism isn’t your thing, you can
easily decorate the outside with paint pens or washi tape! Eraser The Sakura Foam Eraser might be inexpensive,
but it’s one of the best general-purpose erasers we’ve ever used. The soft plastic erases thoroughly, and the
dust clumps together so it’s easy to clean up. Correction Tape The Kokuyo Dual Head Keshipita Correction
Tape covers up any spelling errors or stray marks in your notes. The movable head stays flush against the paper
so you won’t tear the tape. This refillable correction tape comes in three
different tape widths. Ruler The Raymay Easy to See Grid Ruler is thoughtfully
designed to make measuring a breeze. Measurements are printed on both edges, and
the transparent plastic lets you see through the ruler to line it up accurately. Which of these items was your favorite? Let us know in the comments below. Be sure to check out the blog in the card
above to see more picks. You can find all of these items and more at
JetPens.com. Thanks for watching!

**Journeys | Back To School 2019 ft. Philadelphia**

PHILLY!! Philadelphia is artistic, ambitious and above all – passionate. There is an edge to this city…a feeling of focus, desire and determination. It is a place where deep historical roots intertwine daily with the energy of motivated young minds who are consistently pushing to make the city a richer, stronger hub of culture and creativity. Philadelphia is about purpose. It is about passion. And it is about growth. Philadelphia is not about the glitz and glamour – it is about how hard you work to get somewhere, the grind, the dedication, the path you create, the people who helped you get there – and of course – the cheesesteaks.

if it won't work it won't work I'm not gonna link you know is that the swoop is this the swoop hello everybody I'm back again for another video and I've wanted to do this video for a while because I may be a little late to the game but I've fallen into this hole of like BTS BTS BTS EPS which falls under the umbrella of Ching hai and I feel like everybody's been obsessed with kpop for much longer than I have and I'm so late to the game I'm watching their music videos and performances and what I'm mesmerized by is like their perfection their dances are perfect they never miss a step they never look in any way not perfect so I thought it would be fun to do a video where I try to mimic their look BTS transformation now I know the BTS stands are quite tenacious so I just want to say in no way I'm comparing myself to BTS they are first guesses this is exaggerated but this is what I need to say because these BTS people will like their stands kind of crazy it seems exaggerated but just bear with me I am in no way compared to your superior BTS they are in every way better than me and the rest of the world BTS is amazing this is just a video where I'm going to try and look like a BTS member here and all so that's why my hair looks kind of crazy because it's in its natural state and I'm going to style it like a BTS member I don't think it will look good on me but we'll see so I chose a BTS member and I chose to reference images which I will put in I chose jungkook and just because he'll always seems the most like flawless in my opinion here are the two reference images so what I noticed most is one his lips are always very uniform in color – his skin is perking flawless but it's not like matte it's not super Dooley it's like the in-between so I do find that when I'm doing that for myself also there's not a lot of dimension whoever is doing these people's makeup and I'm not saying BTS or makeup again BTS tan maybe their skin is just perfect assuming they wear makeup they're not adding contour they're not really adding a lot of dimension to their face it's really all about like evening it out and then there seems to be a lot of focus on the eyes then the hair bowl haircut now I never thought that bald haircut looked good but apparently it's like the trend for BTS and k-pop members so I have my trusty floating plate straightener and I'm going to give myself a bowl swoop we're gonna do it but let's start with the skin so my skin is actually pretty hydrated so I really don't need to hydrate my skin is really good about hydrating my skin so the first step in this transformation is the skin now I already have the perfect skin that they have Bing I'm not flaunting it I literally like went to the ends of the earth to get this skin because I guess the bowl swoop haircut it's kind of hard to tell what his brows look like they're pretty full but they're pretty straight so when I do my brows these are natural brows I don't really get them done that much because I like to have them full and natural they do naturally arch theirs is a little bit straighter so I'm gonna see if I can look at that let's start with skin okay I'm going to use the bare minerals ginger 0/6 complexion rescue stick this is frickin amazing as you guys can see look at that look at that now usually I just use this under my eyes but today I really want to replicate that look of just flawless so I'm going to be a little bit more heavy-handed with this you see these people like fainting on stage and stuff and it's like oh my god their video boy with love I love that video so much and it's not about the performers really because I just do some bad I really don't remember all their names or all of their individual characteristics I'm not really like focused on that it's like the song the imagery whoever produced that but and the color story that they used and whoever produced that video and put that together it was just so well done and so visually appealing in such a wonderful way like it's like so whimsical I just really got into it and then of course because I'm a Nicki Minaj stand like hardcore don't come for me for Nicki I can rap so many of her verses and I do at the wrong time usually she did a feature with them in their son Idol oh my god so this is me as a blank canvas and I wouldn't leave it like this but I feel like this is almost too dewy for them like I feel like they don't go this dewy so I'm going to use powders I found that Revlon Colorstay is similar formula it works just as well so I am in the color medium deep and I'm just gonna use medium deep and what I love about the color stay is they have a little cushion that comes with it and the other side is fake lips like pleather and this is velvet there are powders out there that are so expensive oh my god for some reason Revlon makes in my opinion the best powder and I've tried lancome dual finish your lemare Chanel this best powder so in medium deep I'm going to I'm gonna do the parts of my face that I want it to be a little darker then the parts of my face that I want to be a little lighter I'm going to just use medium so there we go blank canvas accomplished now for the brows instead of using a brow product because it doesn't really look like they do and again I'm just I don't know what they do but I'm just guessing I'm just going to comb my brows down with the glossy brow gel and I am a wreck for glossier in the description the lips it's tricky their lips look so uniform in color it's hard I might use a little glossy a generation G in leo but so this matches my lip color a little bit so I'll do this just even things out now for the eyes they don't really look like they're wearing mascara or anything heavy it just looks like they might have the tiniest bit of leg look us what leaves me a lot of subjects to me and then when I turn off my camera I'm like why is the one texting me I'm gonna use the smallest amount of this contour shape by Kevin Kwan call sculpting the powder in iam so this is literally like just a tad darker than my skin tone and I'm just gonna put this right on my lash line to darken my lash line just the tiniest bit and then I doesn't look like they were mascara I think would be way too obvious if they were mascara the focus is their eyes I actually am going to put a little highlighter on my face use the Kevyn Aucoin Celeste she'll let me use the lightest lightest shade 3 the lightest and just gonna put it right literally on my lash line so I don't know if they curl their lashes if your leave your lashes naturally kind of just point down somewhat and curling them kind of get them out of the way now that my face is literally a blank canvas and my eyes are the focus my brows are not arched and my lips are evened out time for the hair I'm nervous for let's do it I'm gonna pause you guys for a second and I have to blow-dry it and when I get to the hair straightener Oh bring my back so I blow dried my hair kind of just down they have a swoop kind of a bold swoop let me look at my reference picture come swoop he is this because my hair I think is a little alone my phone does not even recognize me I had my hair in my face all day I would actually lose what someone's over to have left is all of it swooped well back let's not we can't obviously I feel like my hair is just too long for the swoop you know they need because their part I can't see I am gonna use a straightener just to add some like curl to it let's see if that doesn't maybe if I add some curl to it and lift it will detract a little bit all right so let's see let's start to soup I have this going where is there all their hair go like once you swoop it like where does it how is it supported I look like I don't even know like I'm sure whoever does their hair spends a little bit more time on it than I am a little bit more I don't think my hair is cut to swoop I just don't think so I really don't think wow oh my god I just stuck the brush in my freaking eyeball oh okay wait wait wait so maybe some of the hair it's like combed back right to give them volume I'm actually going to like back home in this and give it a little is that a little too much volume this calls for a bore hairbrush when you back home you know please okay is this really what they go through to get there what am I doing wrong why do I look like the creepy guy on the street that you walk away from winner is this swoop covering their ear I need you to know in neither picture it is coming here so it looks like the swoop kind of meets looks like this meets the rest of the hair at the ear I just have too much hair I think so I'm gonna have to like pseudo swoop I look like a mix between like Claire underwood and jungkook I'm gonna leave a little bit of it in my eye just because I feel like they have that in there oh my hair is not cut to take a suit I feel like I'm getting there or I'm not I don't know the thing is they have like volume I don't right now my hair is just flat and I kind of look crazy I'm trying to work uh uh this is infuriating and I've never been so like frustrated with my own hair okay I'm just gonna yank it back in the middle and part it like this how about this maybe there's less hair huh work with me please I'm gonna give up in like five minutes because this is ridiculous if it won't work it won't work I'm not gonna like is that the swoop is this the swoop there's too much hair here you see if I like cut half of it out not actually but like you okay wait wait wait wait okay I just have to pretend that I do not have as much hair as I have I think I achieved the suit like this is the best it's gonna get I'm telling you I'm not gonna get any better than this I kind of feel like I look like from their like 70s like those hairstyles from the 70s I did I've lost my sanity now I'm gonna sing for your Chokey where's Halsey let's turn this off I have done the kpop makeup transformation I've done my best here is me here is the reference image let me see the reference image fascias what is he making the second reference image did I do an even decent job let me know in the comments did I do an even decent job this was fun nonetheless berating book fun and I hope you guys enjoyed it let me know your thoughts in the comments if you'd like me to try to throw myself routine or receipt for your routine anybody the world better prepare for when I'm a billionaire hi honeybees welcome back to my channel today is the second video in my money dip Monday series back-to-school edition for August now in case you miss the first one I will make sure to link that so you can check it out as well as link my whole money tip Monday playlist below in my last video I asked you guys to let me know what you wanted to see next and that was how to save money on beauty products or how to save money in college and I got a ton of responses saying you wanted to know how to save money in college I know life as a college student can be tough especially when you are trying to pay tuition books fees and you're trying to focus on your studies some of you may be holding down jobs it's just really tough and college is expensive I've made it through undergrad and graduate school and I thought I would share with you guys my tips what I've learned and hopefully some things that will help you get through your college career without spinning autonomous so my first tip is to stay on campus I know it's really cool to get an off campus apartment and all this kind of stuff but if you really want to save the most money it's best to stay on campus not only is it gonna save you money on gas getting to and from campus electric light gas water cable I could go on but it's also a great way to bond with your classmates and people at your school it's also more convenient because you can literally roll out of bed and go to class you literally have the rest of your life to stay in an apartment to pay bills and if you start adding everything up you're gonna spend more money living off-campus then you will on campus also the thing about staying on campus is you have access to all of the campus resources as far as a gym as far as the cafeteria as far as the library anything you need on campus you're gonna be able to get that and nine times out of ten it's gonna be free or less than if you have to stay off campus and you either have to drive to campus or go somewhere else to pay for that resource people just can't wait to get off campus I never understood that but not only are you gonna save money but you're also gonna save time and energy on having to pay extra bills for food get a meal plan but by the most basic cheapest meal plan buy groceries and snacks for what you eat the most you're gonna get hungry on those nights that you're staying up on those nights that you're pulling all-nighters you're gonna get hungry and you either won't feel like walking to the cafeteria or the cafeteria is gonna be closed so it's nice to have some snacks and food on hand that you can have in your room that's not only cheap but it's also convenient because you're not going to be able to have access to the cafeteria all the time and you're not going to eat all those meals that you're buying that meal plan was I don't know if I can stress this enough use your student discount you can get discounts on everything from food to the movies to entertainment to even drinks like there's so many places restaurants bookstores the advantage of those don't spend any more extra money than you have to never take a loan out for anything unrelated to your education I have a really great video on how to pay down and get rid of your student loans which I will make sure to link but as a habit lease amount of loans you can take out during your college career the better off you're going to be I also have another video on how to get a degree for free so I will link that video I talked about some tips to going through college without having to pay or take out loans so do check that out don't take out any loans that are not related to your education so another way to save on money in college or to save tuition is to test out of classes so if you've taken AP classes in high school or you're in high school and you're wondering if you should take AP classes take AP classes honors classes take any classes you can to get out of classes that you'll have to take in college I was able to test out of two classes because of my SAT two scores I scored high on math and English so I was able to bypass some of the English and math courses that I needed to take an undergrad and that was because I worked hard in high school I did well I took honors classes and I was able to give up I was able to get out of them I saved myself thousands of dollars because those were two or three classes that I did not have to take so a good way to save money in college is to think ahead test out of whatever classes you can test out of and that's gonna save you thousands of dollars so I talked about staying on campus and if you're still kind of low on money or you don't have the money for a dorm a great way to save money on your lodging is to become an RA RA is a resident advisor and it's somebody who essentially works for the university but you are pretty much just in charge of taking care of your Hall making sure everything is good on your Hall that everybody's comfortable you may organize like social events putting out fliers putting out bulletins things like that but as a resident advisor you get free room and board so I know some friends in college who were Ras and they really enjoy the experience and they save thousands of dollars because they didn't have to pay for their dorm or for their lodging so that is a great way to save money on where you're gonna stay in college so here's a tip for saving money on those expensive spring breaks now I will say I did go on one spring break I went my freshman year and it was fun but I ended up spending a lot of money and money that I really didn't have so a great way to save money on those winter break or Spring Break trips is to do an alternative winter break or an alternative spring break most college campuses have it but basically it's where you can volunteer and you do community service over the break but the school pays for it so for example I did alternative winter break one winter break and I was able to go to Cocoa Beach Florida so we went and we did volunteering at give the kids the world which is kind of like Disneyland for kids who have medical illnesses so we were able to do like fun activities I got to serve the community I got to volunteer it made me feel really good but we also got to do fun things like we went to the beach we went out to eat and it was all paid for by the program we also got fun t-shirts and I got the chance to meet really cool people that I never would have met otherwise so all around it was a win-win situation so I definitely encourage you if you're wanting to get out if you're wanting to travel and there are some groups that go overseas they go internationally but the school foots the bill for it because you're going to serve the community on behalf of the school but it's so much fun it's such a great experience and it will save you tons of money versus going on a spring break trip with your friends and having to pay for a hotel food entertainment drinks all that just save your money so transportation I know a lot of people feel like they need a car in college and it probably depends on where you go to school but I went to school in a big city and I didn't take a car to college in fact I didn't get my first car until after I graduated college and I was completely fine and you're gonna have friends who have a car and you can usually catch rides with in places but nine times out of ten the university will also provide transportation for you so at my school I went to Vanderbilt University we had what was called a Vandy van and it would shuttle all around the campus so it was nighttime you didn't want to walk or you just didn't feel like walking you could take the van it had different stops around the campus and it was a safe and free way to get around you don't need to spend money on a car not only is that an extra fuel expense but it's also a monthly car note if your parents are not gonna pay for it don't worry about a car save your money get rides walk stay on campus and then you really won't have to worry about transportation so as far as making money during college and just having extra cash work-study is definitely a great thing to do I did work study in college and usually with a work-study job you can work and you can make money but you can also study they know that you're a student they expect that you have assignment to do in reading do so while you have downtime they allow you to do your work and to do homework and to work on assignments I did that in college and literally that was how I was able to make it through college and pay for all my extra expenses also a great idea is to do extra like fun jobs I did a promotional modeling job in college which was so fun I got paid to go to parties and just like look cute and promote different things and it was awesome I made so much money doing that just alone I was able to go on trips I went on cruises I did everything I wanted to do in college because I worked hard and I had fun but I worked smart so I did the work-study where I was able to work but also get my work done I did the promotional modeling where I was able to work but also socialize so if you work smarter and not harder you can make great money and find other ways to make money tutoring just other ways to hustle if you want to do babysitting that's a good idea one of my friends did babysitting and nannying for a family and she made good money that way there's also a site called way up and I talked about it a lot but it's a great way for college students grad students anyone who's a student to find like side hustle jobs whether you want to be a photographer or a model or you want to work in a restaurant they have all different kinds of jobs whether you want to work in PR like they have really really cool jobs and internships that will pay you as a student so I will leave that link below go check that out go sign up for it but there's so many different ways to make money in college you just have to be creative and you have to be proactive another way to have money for college is to save up before you go to college so definitely this summer before you go to college it's so important like if you can think ahead that's awesome I worked all summer before I went to college and I was able to save enough money to buy everything I needed for my dorm room everything I needed as far as clothing books everything I worked really hard that summer before college and it saves me a lot of money when I went to college because I had money to just draw from I didn't have to worry about my first semester getting the job I just had money ready and waiting oh if in high school you know that you're gonna go to a college start early start saving as much as you can while you're in high school and you're gonna be so grateful that you have that when you're in college don't pay full price for anything nothing I have a rule that I never pay full price for anything that has to do with school there's so many discounts student discounts price matching there's coupons there's RetailMeNot Groupon there's so many ways to save money on things books buy used rent them check them out from the library borrow from a friend go on Amazon don't pay full price for anything Apple has education pricing you can get discounted electronics I have a video that I uploaded last Monday on how to save money on school supplies go watch that because I have a lot of tips and information in that video on how to save money for school supplies that I won't get into this video but it applies to college students as well so go check that out when you're in college a big way to manage your money and save your money and to make money is to budget your money that should have been my first tip you need to create a realistic budget and stick to it when I say realistic you want to account for everything from toiletries to when you're gonna go out to eat to your entertainment to just anything your cell phone bill whatever you are in charge of paying for in college make sure you put that in your budget and if you're not able to make enough money to cover what you've budgeted out you either need to cut down on one of those areas or you need to find more hustles and more way to make money but they have to balance each other out and for me I just like to do a budget at the beginning of each month and just account for what what expenses I have what things I have coming up holidays what I'm whatever I'm gonna have to spend money on then I calculate how much money I have available and if the two don't match up something's got to go so while you're in college that's a great time to start getting in the habit of budgeting and creating a realistic budget but also sticking to it wait to save money in college is to rent items that you won't use after college now not only does this apply to textbooks but also other things that you're not going to use after college like refrigerators or hot pots there's websites you can go to where you can rent items instead of going and paying a lot of money for these things also some schools have rental programs to where you can rent items from there so maybe it's a big price item maybe it's a TV maybe it's a refrigerator whatever it is that you're only gonna use while you're in college for some items it may be cheaper to rent them while you're there than to buy it and then not use it after you're done with college another way to save money while you're in college as far as like your services like your hair your nails things like that learn to do as much as you can on your own it can really add up when you're going to the salon every other week when you're going to the nail shop every few weeks it adds up learn to do things on your own and that's why we have the wonderful world of YouTube you can learn to do almost anything on your own I learned how to do so many things as far as like my hair in my nails and just my beauty routine I learned how to do a lot of things through YouTube and I learned how to do it myself so color your own hair if that's something that you feel comfortable doing I learned how to cut my own hair when I was overseas and I didn't have access to a beauty shop I had to learn how to do everything myself so I literally went on YouTube and I learned how to color my hair how to cut my hair still working on learning how to braid but you get the point learn how to do as much as
